well, from previews it seems there will be quite a few mythic items plus probably some other leads to be found.
So I figured probably a good idea to get a topic started to get organized :-)


I should have time to hop on tonite cet time if servers come back early enough. So I can update my Addon Display Leads.

Yo, I am DYING to know what this looks like. Ive always wanted to have a player home with a chapel in it. If its anything like the chapels in ESO...with that stained glass Im literally gonna be so happy.

Please PC players when yall get into the PTS can yall showoff Pantherfang Chapel so I can remain hyped for the release of Blackwood!

Anyone else hyped for this player home?

Need nerf to Purge and Rapid Maneuver

Purge and Rapid Maneuver are destroying the game balance in PvP.
The ballgroup spams Purge and Rapid Maneuver.
This is god mode.
So Purge and Rapid Maneuver need to be nerfed.

[My request]
Change Purge's target to self only.
Change Rapid Maneuver's Major Expedition duration to 2 seconds.

How can 3D map pin mods be legal? They replace skills

I spent skill points on having nodes highlighted. I downloaded the most popular map-pin mod called "harvest map" because I wanted to see where treasure chests were. First time I used it I saw that the chests themselves on the surface of the world had in-map 3 dimensional pins hovering over them. This rendered my skill I spent points on in Scrying (to have treasure chests glowing) completely useless. I don't see how this is allowable. It certainly feels like this mod is hacking the game client as it completely disrupts and makes irrelevant in game skill points.

Isn't a mod that replaces skill points taking it too far? ZOS, would you like to comment on why these mods are allowable?

Question about Coagulating Blood ability (Dragonknight class)

I know things can be dicey in the fast paced heat of battle, but the Coagulating Blood skill consistenlyfails to fire on the first button press. It's to the point where, comically, I have to press the button twice to get it activated. No other skills in this slot cause this hiccup, and to eliminate it being canceled by opponent actions I variegated when I input it during battles, and I double checked other possible input bugs by deliberately inputting other skills when I intended to activate the Coagulating Blood skill (follow?). My question is, is anyone having any similar input issues.

Hi everyone, Blackwood is coming to the PTS, so here's the Housing content that we have to look forward to in this year's Chapter! :smile: I'll update the post with more pictures as soon as I can (PTS will go online tomorrow PTS is up now woohoo), and as usual I'll try to compile all the housing info here in one thread for a convenient overview. Hope you find it useful and will have something to look forward to and be excited about! :blush:

Pilgrim’s Rest: Inn Room - via quest or for ingame gold

Pantherfang Chapel: Manor - for Crowns
"The embattled clergy of the Quenching Grail established Pantherfang Chapel in the First Era as a bastion of faith. Part cathedral, part citadel, this edifice still stands as an immortal reminder of Aedric strength. Allows use of the Pledge of Mara."

Sounds like this will be a special feature of this house, that you can marry inside the house without needing a Shrine of Mara in the open world. I foresee a lot of wedding chapel builds here. :lol: Some more info about this house: "Pantherfang Chapel is a Notable Home with everything you‘d want in a castle of your own. It has two main buildings, a chapel and a fort. You can reach it by boat and arrive at your very own dock."

The Leyawiin plans are from the zone itself as usual, and the plans for the 10 Deadlands furniture can drop from Daedric Portals, which are Blackwood's version of dolmens/dragons/harrowstorms.

OTHER FURNITURE AND QoL UPDATES

Houseguest versions of the 2 new Companions - Mirri and Bastian

After completing the 2nd Companion-quest (which unlocks after reaching a certain level of rapport with the Companion), we will unlock a Houseguest collectible of the Companion, which will work the same way as other Houseguests.

Firstly, it seems odd to me that Companions aren't immediately place-able in our homes like Assistants, Pets, Mounts and Houseguests are, but instead apparently have 2 versions - a Houseguest and a Companion version. From the way they put this, this may also mean that we can't place our own customised Companions in our homes, but only the default Houseguest versions :confused: It's nice of course that we will get a Houseguest version of the Companion without having to buy a Houseguest at extra charge, but I fail to see why it's even necessary to jump through extra hoops and have 2 versions, rather than just placing the Companions...

Updated Precision Edit function
"You can now precision edit furniture items and path nodes from the Housing Editor's Retrieve menu, without first having to pick them up. This also allows you to make precise tweaks to objects that are embedded in other objects, or which are otherwise difficult to select normally." Nice change, being able to adjust embedded items without having to place them again!

Endeavors will allow earning Crown Crate furniture through gameplay
With the upcoming Endeavor system, we'll be able to earn 'Seals of Endeavor' for completing certain ingame activities. These Seals will be exchangeable for items currently available in Crown Crates. So during the Ayleid Crown Crate season for example, we would be able to exchange these ingame-earned seals for the Ayleid furniture from the current Crates. This will give players another option to buy Crown Crate contents without having to gamble, exchange gold for Crowns or buying Crowns. We don't know the prices of items yet, but overall this seems to be a really nice change! :star: There's more detail about Endeavors themselves elsewhere, just wanted to highlight how the Seals will impact us Housing fans since ZOS keep putting furniture into Crown Crates.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for anything in particular? :smile: Got some build ideas for the new houses already?
I'm disappointed by the Companion-Houseguest divide, but really looking forward to trying out all the new Furniture!

Dear ZOS, Please Don't Ruin The Game For Roleplayers With 12 Person Group Limit

Hello ZOS,

Please understand that those of us who play this game to roleplay are going to have a very difficult time and will be hugely impacted in a negative way by your reduction of the group size limit from 24 to 12.

When we first read this patch note in the PTS server, we couldn't believe it. We thought it was a late April Fools' joke. Several of us suspected we were misunderstanding the patch note and there was no problem.

But upon closer inspection, it seems our worst fears are true. In every RP guild I've ever been a part of, we usually self-organize into RP groups for the purpose of maintaining easy location via the map for folks who are just joining or get disconnected, etc., and for OOC chat in group. This is true of both guild RP as well as open world RP.

When I find myself in RP groups, I'd say about 60% of the time the group has more than 12 people in it. Getting more than 24 in a group is very rare though, because that many people in a single RP setting becomes difficult to manage. But we do just fine with 12 or 15 or 18 people most of the time, especially when we establish some sort of social organization so folks don't just do their own thing.

This has worked very well for us for years, and many/most of us (I am part of a community with hundreds of players) have ESO Plus and pay a lot of money for housing, costumes, motifs, etc. so we can further immerse ourselves into the RP setting.

By reducing group size from 24 to 12, you will be hugely hindering the RP community, by requiring us to organize our OOC chat across multiple groups, making it harder for us to find the group leader, etc. It will just add a huge administrative burden to those who go to the effort to coordinate these RP groups.

I personally have over 5100 hours in ESO (per Steam) and have definitely felt the wallet impact of the crowns, etc. I've bought in this game. ZOS, we are many, and we pay a lot of money to your company because your game is a very good roleplaying setting for our community, and we care very much about maintaining that community for the long haul.

This will have an enormous impact on our ability to enjoy the game, and may result in the shrinkage of our community and the reduction of profits for ZOS. I strongly urge that you reconsider your decision before this patch leaves PTS.

I would rather have no new features and no companions than to see this change come to pass.

If you must implement this, give us a tool for organizing unrestricted custom chat channels with no player limit, or better yet, some sort of large group system that does not share XP or loot but does provide map markers and easy "taxi" TP functionality. Don't ask us to use /guild, please; we can have many separate RPs going on in the same guild at the same time, and that would be chaotic.

Also they might be needing a buff before it goes live. haha

Max level Bastion specd for tank with full on Vigorous heavy armor gear (40k max health) sword & shield all maxed out lvl 20 Bastion in all skills.
I equipped him with 2 taunts, self heal and chains so he can hold back many of the horrors of Tamriel.

Off we went!

Fungal Grotto 1 normal:
Bastion went to the nearest goblin and faitfully held back a single goblin so I could deal with the other 5. That's when I saw true potential.

I learned that you can control Bastion like the pets by telling him which target to go for.. I was ready.

First boss - Taskmaster - Fungal 1 Normal

I told my faithful companion to go hold back the Taskmaster!

Unfortunately.... he got stuck in a rock on the ground. After we got him out of there he put up a brave fight, he only died twice to the first boss.

Got out of fungal grotto and went to the nearest world boss in Stonefalls..

I once again told my brave companion to tank the world boss. The world boss did 3 fire whips within the span of 3-4 seconds and down went Bastion for another nap.

On a good note - it seems he enjoys when you pick up ressources. That's nice!
But I don't think these guys will replace much of anyone as it is right now haha

*Disclaimer this is just released in PTS and many improvements can happen still, and likely will - just found my first impression hilarious*

This is the official feedback thread for Companions. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:

    • Which areas or zones were you in with your companion?
    • What types of gameplay were you doing with your companion?
  • Interaction
    • Was it clear how to access the Companions interface?
    • Was the Companion ability system clear and intuitive to use?
    • Did your companion use the slotted abilities as you expected them to?
    • Did you feel the companion talked too much or too little in various circumstances?
  • Combat
    • What did you think of the Companion combat abilities in general? Were there any that felt too powerful or not powerful enough?
    • Were you able to configure your companion to perform the role you wished?
    • Were you able to effectively utilize keyboard/gamepad shortcuts to direct companion target behavior? (Hold Y and left click to attack vs Hold Y and right click to hold off)
  • Customization/Progression
    • How did the companion progression feel in terms of time to level up, advance skills, unlock abilities, improve rapport, or acquire equipment? Was the progress clear in terms of how to access everything?
    • Was the companion cosmetic customization experience clear and function as expected?
  • Rapport
    • Did you understand how to influence your companion through the rapport system?
    • Was it clear when rapport was being adjusted and why?
  • Do you have any other general feedback?

With the changes to cp and various stars going from 4 stages to 2 etc. Does this mean that precision will only give 700 pen at max or will it still give 1400 but just require less cp for this?

So will it still cost 50cp to gain only 700 pen, or is it now 25cp to gain 1400 pen. ??

Does main base game quest line still auto starts after completing new tutorial? If someone who’s on PTS could test this it would be awesome!

It’s the main quest, the one where hooded person appears when traveling to any alliance capitols, auto starting main quest line and forcing new character to progress through whole quest line (of course, if one isn’t OCD then the un-abandoneable quest can simply remain there in the quest log).

Since I can't post anything on the PTS section of the forum, please apologize if I open this thread here.

On the current PTS server (7.0.0 patch) there seems to be a problem with the Blackwood collector edition mount.

PS: It isn't settings issue since with other mounts there is no problem at all

Long story short, I dont buy eso +. the free eso+ from yesterday is still on my account. I mean, the craft bag is great, but it is hilarious.

Necromancer Gravelord Passive, over nerfed?

Curious to see what people think regarding this change as this has been a common theme and function of Necromancer for a long time to help them compete with the execution that Nightblade provided in the past for example. Was this overnerfed? This was a 60% max which is rather high reduced to a 24% max assuming you slot every gravelord ability in the past only using 3-4 was common. What are your thoughts regarding this?
