Nerf old regen set because of Hist Whisperer?

Many regen sets will be slightly nerf like willow path, Bloodthorn's Touch, Amberplasm but those sets were just fine why nerfing them? Probably to make the new set more attractive?

I'm looking for ideas on what healer I should make and I want to see other people's opinions. The only healer I have played is a NB and I haven't even maxed them out yet, but I don't think I will continue with them. If possible I want this thread to stay free from debate until it is no longer of use to me.

We are pleased to announce a new upcoming Loremaster’s Archive Q&A, and we need your questions! Remarkably, we’ve managed to convince Lyranth to take the time to answer your questions about Mehrunes Dagon and Daedra during Tamriel’s Second Era. So, if you have a lore question on this specific topic, please submit it in this thread.

Eclectic Decorator Bug (Loss of achievement due to change)

With the changes to this achievement to include other furnishings, anybody who achieved this prior to the change lost the achievement and has to re-earn it.

These items to get this achievement are either from the crown store, or are very expensive furnishings in game (crafting stations, target dummies, etc...), so it's unfair to re-make players get this previously earned achievement as they may not have those items available to them anymore.

(It's not a huge deal for me personally, since I have my own crafting hall, and it popped immediately upon entering my primary house)

With that stated, in Update 30 we are making all item sets that deal damage or heal scale with player stats. You will need to make a conscious build choice when looking at which item sets to include in your build, rather than simply equipping three proc sets for that aforementioned “free damage”.

Didn't take too much testing on PTS to find out that not only do 3-4 proc set full damage setups deal more damage than they do on Live (easy to reach 6,2k weapon dmg even on an Imperial with swift traits), but now it's also possible to run just one or two procs and get absolutely ridiculous tooltips on those.

The real losers of this rebalancing seem to be the balanced builds that built for both survivability and damage, as they have to spread their stats (where a triple dmg proc build can just stack weapon/spell dmg to buff everything) - these builds will wind up with worse tooltips on everything compared to Live, where as triple proc "free damage" builds improve on their Live server tooltips.

For a quick example this combination gets you way above 5,5k weapon damage on any class: DW/2H Deadland's Assassin, 3 Agility, 2 Zaan, Vateshran 2H, Trainee & any mythic - 3 weapon dmg glyphs on jewelry & warrior mundus.

Bloodthirsty jewelry & vamp toggle can also be used to reach way higher proc set damage than was previously possible, especially with sets like Sheer Venom (up to +100% dmg on the base tooltip) & Zaan (increases base tooltip dmg every second).



Needless to say this requires a lot of attention as it seems to be contrary to what was supposed to happen according to Combat Preview post quoted above.

Malacath Style Writ

Hello,

I have a writ that asks for epic greaves that have the sturdy trait and Malacath style.

Did some Wrothgar dailies and was rewarded with epic greaves that were' well fitted' and Malacath style.

If I decontruct it, can I reconstruct it as epic with the sturdy trait, and Malacath - or do I have to learn that style?

I just watched the ESO Live that detailed companions and I have two major areas of feedback concerning companions:

1) Please allow us to equip companions with gear sets that we have acquired in the game. It feels shallow that companions are forced to exclusively use generic, watered-down gear.

2) Please allow us the option for helmets to show on our companions. It's not cool that the helmet is always forced to be hidden.

You're really gonna make me walk outside of my home to fully interact with my companion? Please, please change this.

Why would we NOT want to interact with our companions in our homes, is what I would hope you would have been asking yourselves when creating this feature.

And no, their very limited houseguest speech is not even remotely good enough. This is so, so disappointing. :cry:

Let us choose our tutorial quest not just starting location

Easy and simple:
if you have several dlc that were previously chapter (therefore having unique tutorial quest and starting location ), we should be able to choose which tutorial to do and land in different starting zone based on it

There should be a large indicator of which tutorial is the newest chapter (since ZOS cares about that very much), and each tutorial option should have a small paragraph of introduction of what is this tutorial quest is about and where are you landing after the tutorial

the current implementation is that you still HAVE to do the newest tutorial, and you somehow can choose to go elsewhere after that quest is completed, which really doesn't make sense

The reason this (choose tutorial and starting location) is requested so frequently is mostly due to role play reasons (I make a khajiit, I want it home in elsweyr etc), the current implementation does not provide that

If ZOS really want most new players to land in newest zone, like I said, make a big sign "newest chapter" which larger icon for the newest tutorial

please consider deliver this suggestion to the development team, @ZOS @ZOS_GinaBruno , many thanks!

Endeavors offered

Obvious questions about endeavors start:
  • What are we asked to do?
  • What are the rewards for doing those things?
  • Are the Endeavors always the same, or do they change?
  • If they change, do they do so on fixed rotation?
  • If they change, are they the same for everybody the same day?
  • Are the caps per-character or per account?

Data points start:

On my first PTS log-in, I'm seeing the same list of offered Endeavors on two characters.

The list of dailies is:
  • Complete 2 Quests
  • Craft 5 items with Blacksmithing
  • Kill 10 Humanoid foes
  • Excavate 2 Purple- or Gold-quality antiquities
  • Complete 2 Public Dungeon group events

The cap is to do 3 of those 5.
The rewards are identical for each: 3 seals + 1000 gold.
One of my characters is not an antiquarian.

The list of weeklies is:
  • Kill 30 World Bosses
  • Complete 7 Dungeons
  • Complete 7 Public Dungeon group events

The cap on those is 1 of 3.
The reward is 20 seals.

Tutorial miss fire

I was so hyped for this, thought finally I would able to choose not just location to casually spawn in (might I add unpretentiously) but to choose tutorial quest too , particularly the Naryu one I have missed... :disappointed:
So I have tried it, and it wouldn't even spawn into the iconic must Morrowind starting ship, just the dock like a fish thrown ashore...
I like the alternate lives Skyrim mod likeness but...
I think they missed the point of our plea's second half, the more important one...

Location
I was glad I could finally go to the first and most important ES location, I think this is a cool way, including portals, to use in game.
Some are concerned it has been "wasted" cuz it could be dlc of some sort, but I think, especially that we can't go back to this particular state of it and imo regardless) they could use it again.
Yeah, probably not for a chapter or zone dlc but for a quest, or like an Artaeum, for sure. Personally I would not like it as any kinda dungeon cuz therefore lore would not be emphasized esp not by players...
Lemme chip in my idea, that is a way to have multiple time period versions of any zone.
By having to turn the map like a book, one other page or two, left past, right future, we could have that. More content With minimal work on zos' side, just barely modifying the level design, rather, focusing on creating new quests. Placing far away in time, making it so they wouldn't have to worry about any quest consequence, but giving us the chance for like explore a pve Cyrodiil before or after the war for example... Or well you know, we could go to it simply just without the tutorial situation should they use it for future content... Thus I would not worry about it being "wasted".

After the portal
As I said, this does not feel ZOS quality, cut/locked/restricted content, just spawning me down like a spit, without any context (new lady's few sentence is not enough, the tutorials were enough)...
I would like to have it so we would simply start the zone's original tutorial thing, small area, same story, same npcs, mobs, actually starting a quest, THE quest... (starting MW now, it said this will start its main quest but guess what, it didn't even has, still had to go to pick it up further in Seyda Neen, and I was saying I want it to start Naryu's og tutorial one)
I know, some might say but starting twice imprisoned would look off, well I have to things to say:
bruh it's Elder Scrolls duh, and why not?
Sure if they wanna change a bit whatever, but I still want what I want. The og tutorial quests.
All they would have to do is to cut the actual teaching part, the one which we already did on the island with the dummy just before, but besides that I do not want any change, and it would be easier faster for ZOS to implement too I think.

This. I want to be able to choose my tutorial. That's what we've been asking for, rather than being forced into a new one just because we bought a chapter. This is not a change, this is just a different way of forcing us into a particular start.

Please, ZOS - give us more options, not fewer. I personally like the Firemoth Island tutorial the best of all of them, and I haven't been able to go there since 2018. I just want to be captured by slavers...what a predicament.

Blackwood tutorial feedback

As a tutorial I think it works well. I really like that you're given a full set of weapons to choose from right from the start because in previous tutorials I always seemed to have bad luck with what I found and could never get the one I wanted most. I also like that it's easy to get a full set of matching armour (or any combination of light/medium/heavy) from the armoury. Also it's very nice to have a tutorial which shows off how pretty the game can be.

I also think it does a good job of remaining fairly neutral to the different storylines, while getting across the idea that the world is in chaos. I'm not keen on Norianwe declaring that your character must have been chosen for a higher purpose, it would be a bit restrictive for your character to be some sort of 'chosen one' who is destined to save the world but I suppose it's just her opinion and maybe a bit of wishful thinking, so it doesn't invalidate characters who don't go on to do the main storylines or otherwise don't fit that archetype.

My one criticism is that choosing to start an Alliance storyline (I picked the Daggerfall Covenant) drops you on the starter island with no introduction or context, you're just supposed to pick up the island's main storyline a few steps in (for me the first step was to talk to Kileen). It also seems strange that you appear from nowhere and the NPCs (at least the ones I spoke to) don't question it and just accept your presence on the island. I think it would actually make more sense to re-use the start of the main quest where you're dropped into the sea.

I then went to Daggerfall and started the main quest and was mildly surprised that it still drops you onto Stros M'Kai (and presumably Bleakrock or Khenarthi's Roost for Pact and Dominion characters) to repeat the same storyline. Annoyingly I didn't think to try doing a few steps of the island's storyline first to see what happens when you end up back there but I assume it doesn't let you repeat it.

I also noticed two minor bugs:

Norianwe's dialogue when you return to the skyshard to unlock the Gallery has no subtitles, does not appear in the chat box and for me was mostly inaudible because she was behind me and down the stairs when she started speaking.

The gateway to the Blackwood chapter isn't labelled as far as I could tell.

Nerf Streak on Nightblade Tanks

Nightblade tank has been getting nerfed every patch for a year now. Zos sees nightblade as a glasscannon class and contantly nerfing the survivability of the class. This doesn't only effect nb tanks but also affecting the nb players that want to play bulkier builds in pvp. What is the point of these constant nerfs without giving a single buff in return.
