Which alliance's questline did you enjoy the most?
Hey guys,
I've personally noticed a decent influx of new players the last few months - at least on XB1 NA. Anyway, I often hear, see discussion, and get asked by newer players which alliance has the best zones and questlines. Obviously you get to experience all 3 via Cadwell's.
Try and keep personal alliance preference out of the answer you give - I've made it anonymous for that fact.
Which alliance's questline did you enjoy the most of the 3?
I personally can say that I enjoyed the Covenant one the most. I feel as though that it had the best variety of zones, the best NPC's on a broad scale (best singular NPC would be a coin flip out of Raz and Darien, though) and at least in comparison to the Pact, you feel as though you actually mean something to your alliance and it's leader.
Aldmeri Dominion is not far behind, but it's a little too much Wood Elf for my liking.

Should I return to this game?
Welp here I am again wanting to come back to this game and play again. Last time I played was a couple months after morrowind released. Is it still worth playing? How is the population? Have classes been balanced? Is pvp balanced? Anything new since I last played.
Thanks in advance for those that answer

How long does it take to get mages guild 10? Do you reach level 10 when you’ve collected every single mages guild book or do you only need to collect most books to get it? I feel like my bar barely moves when I find a book

My Furniture Wishlist
Like most housing fans, I love to collect all kinds of furnitures. Though I don't own a house yet, I would like to give the developers some ideas of which in game objects can be add to the furniture list. I'll start with 2 furnitures and eventually add more while I discover them in my travels
This is a furnace which was found in the first furniture datamine list, there are supposed to be 2, one with a bellow behind and one without it.
The second one is an apple tree, the ladder is an extra furniture I would love to see!
Let's be organize and add your images on spoilers, please.

If you're actually willing to pay 800 crowns for a hat...
...I suppose you DO deserve to have your forehead sloped like a caveman. But still... is there a quality control person in the house?
![nKonJ7g.jpg]()
ALL THREE hats have some hat-hair that clip through your brow. In two cases, the clip is minor, almost invisible (right). Third case though, the "Winter Corsage Broadbrim", causes outright disfigurement of your character's head (left) by sloping your forehead and pushing your hair straight through your brow. Incidentally, it's also the only one that's actually wearable all year long without making you look like Radagast the Brown. I almost bought it, dammit!
In completely unrelated news, "Radius Rebreather" bites the back of your head off whenever you crouch while wearing it.
![updKLWF.png]()
Like, folks, seriously? How is it possible that stuff like this gets passed all the way to live, with a price tag slapped onto it? Someone got paid to model this, someone else got paid to approve it for live, yet nobody ever recognized it as a steaming heap of glitchy guar refuse? Aren't you the least bit ashamed to ask money for such low quality of workmanship? Do you really release so much content every month that nobody has time to sit down and test-wear it before putting a price on it?

Another returning player question
When I first bought ESO I played a Khajit (not that that is relevant) up to level 50. At that time you then ended up playing from level 1 again with a different alliance (but all opponents upleveled). This became tedious and I left. Then I came back for a while and started some new characters. Then for various reasons I left again.
I am now thinking of returning and I find I have 6 characters including one champion and I have 60 champion points to distribute. I think I understand how that works. Unfortunately it is so long that I have more or less forgotten the game so I thought I would start over with a new character.
If I start a new character and invest the 60 CP will I be overlevelled to the extent that the early content will be unchallenging?
If I delete my existing characters will I lose the 60 CP?
Is it a good idea to buy Morrowind immediately and try the warden class (I've played all the other classes to some extent)? I don't actually need the new Morrowind content immediately as there is other new content which has arrived since I last played.
Would I do better to give up the whole idea and replay Skyrim ... or minecraft?
Helpful comments will be received with gratitude, but if you wish to mock feel free - I have a thick coat of fur to deflect such barbs (see, I'm already RPing my Khajit).

Some questions regarding pvp building.
So, first here's my "perspective"(in lack of better word).
i have been "making" my own builds since i started playing, by "making" i mean taking what was popular and changing it a little for my playstyle, so i didn't really make them myself, and well, haven't leveled any characters cross level 50 other than my argonian nightblade, who i have been playing for quite a long time now, at the moment i have a mediocre tanking setup for pve content, and a pvp setup witch i use most of the time, its a melee magicka build, i really like it, but would love something more unique, some dude running a really crazy setup earlier today inspired me to get to making my own build from the bottom and up, so well here we go for the questions
the first is the most important, but the rest are of course important too
)))

- What is the common stats thresholds, by that i mean, fx 20k health 40k magicka , this and this penetration crit and so on, i know this vary a lot depending on class and just stuff like do you focus on poison, but still
)) give me what ya got.
- While i know "theory crafting" requires a ton of skill and game knowledge to do, what process do you usually do, what is like, your point you go around, set, race etc.
- Is there anything i should stay away from
, not the obvious like dont use hundings on mag, but like, ya know.
- i just realized that i 2 times now used "ya" when i couldn't explain something
- any tips really

Stamina Trial Weapon Testing
Hello fellow ESO-Players, it's time for an analysis of trial weapons for stamina DPS as i have all weapons i need for it on the live server now, including two perfected asylum daggers:
First of all, concerning my methodology:
I did 9 robust dummy parses on all four setups, and then took the median parse out of these to actually show the average dps i got and rule out crit luck.
The general setup i based all this on:
![NowU9C1.jpg]()
And the median damage:
![QFgJe8E.jpg]()
My rotation was to just light attack weave all skills on the bow bar, and heavy attack weave all skills on the front bar and cast ballista whenever it is ready.
So standard stuff, i used dubious throne for the robust dummy tests in order to be able to infinitely sustain.
Now the first test i did was the perfected asylum DW weapons, i changed the setup to the following:
![g1uVtNR.jpg]()
And got this median damage as a result:
![TBmb9T1.jpg]()
I altered my rotation in the way that i put flawless dawnbreaker on the back bar, rend on the front bar and every second rotation when i wouldve been casting rending slashes and blade cloak, i used two steel tornadoes instead.
So comparing the two parses, we can see that they single target damage is similar, so the asylum dual wield is not worse than a standard setup, which is good news! But on top of similar damage, asylum dual wield actually has more AoE due to more steel tornado casts in your rotation, but also a lot more selfhealing due to the strong uptime on rend.
As a third parse, i did use dual master daggers instead of asylum daggers:
![GL9N6ck.jpg]()
Now here we see that the flat damage increase from the master daggers is significant, BUT it is not as much of a DPS-increase as the asylum daggers or the standard setup with Automaton and Sunder.
Last and sadly least, i tried out Maelstrom Daggers:
![hwV3l9Z.jpg]()
In order to test these, i had to change the setup a lot:
As you cannot empower Ballista, i switched to rend again and used rapid strikes instead of steel tornado. As posion injection is STILL BUGGED and consumes cruel flurry on every tick, i had to leave it out in order to actually get reliable results, you can technically add about 2k dps from the injection that we now miss here. on the front bar i heavy attack weaved rapid strikes, then used rending slashes to empower it immediately, heavy attack weave rapid strikes and then use trap, heavy attack weave blade cloak. If i had rend ready, i included a light attack weave rapid strikes > rend, and then blade cloak before going back to the bow bar.
So TL;DR
Perfected Asylum Dual wield is actually not bad, if you need more selfheals and have a bossfight with adds, you can definetely use them, rend will outparse ballista with these weapons, especially with multiple targets hit (thinking of vHoF 4th Boss). But I still think that they should actually outparse a standard setup.
Master Weapons are still too weak, sadly, to compete. Even in single target (which they should excel at) they get outparsed by Asylum weapons and the standard 2 5piece setup.
Maelstrom weapons are bugged, and even if they werent, they underperform as you simply cannot sustain it without sacrificing too much. As of now, fixing them and actually putting the weapon damage back to 3000 OR making them empower all debuff dots within a certain timeframe would be beneficial.
@ZOS_GinaBruno, please fix Maelstrom Weapons and consider making the Master Weapons even stronger. DoTs are not that dangerous in PvP, so that wouldnt be bad at all.

Fake lore thread. post interesting fake lore here
This is the thread to post fake lore that sounds like it could be true but is interesting either way.
Female bosmer use their cuteness to lure in outsiders into their village and then the unsuspecting outsider is then knocked out and then may wake to see himself being consumed by a horde of adorable lil bosmers. When a bosmer eat their first victim then they grow antlers and antler size is dependent on how many victims they have eaten.

State of the Hybrid
Just to focus the discussion, I'm defining a hybrid that uses stam and magicka morphed skills. This means you are actively doing damage/healing/taunting/blocking with magicka and stamina. If you happen to take a prismatic glyph or put 2 points into stamina, then, for at least this discussion, you're not a hybrid.
So I use pelinal's for a majority of my dps and tank builds (which also dps) nb and because this is my only play character (I have crafting grind alts) so as a result I have 354 skill points. This let's me take heavy, medium, and light armor 5pc builds. I also have DW, 1h&s, Destro, and Resto staff lines with crafting, guild, and world skills filled for my needs. Point is I can try a multitude of builds and approaches to playing hybrid based on the content and adapt to the content. This I also think is the key to they hybrid is that you change your bar and armor spec to meet the needs of the content. Not a requirement to be a hybrid, but I do think it is very important to being successful as a hybrid. You need almost 60-100 more skill points than a focused build counter part. I think there are enough PvE (+PVP) skill points to get to this level of points.
In my opinion, we are on the cusp of having enough CP to make hybrids truly competitive as there are enough sets built for hybrid builds and enough SP available to make them work. The biggest issues I see is about ESO being 30-40 CP in each star short of enough points to sufficiently do a crit or base damage build on both resources as a hybrid. Currently / very shortly focused builds are taking advantage of crit and base damage build. For me, in about 30-40 CP in each star we will have the focused build / hybrid parity where focused does do more damage but hybrid give it more adaptability.
Example: As a hyblade I could have steel tornado on my DW bar, and impale on my bar (weapon depends on setup). While a stamblade would have killer's blade, he doesn't have range. While a mageblade, could execute from range with impale, they have no AOE execute.
____
I would really encourage the development team to try and hit +40 CP from our current state. The changes in Morrowind and HOTR did a lot to level the ability of hybrids more successful. They are now so front loaded and the CP cap so high, that new people are hitting CP cap faster (will continue to get faster as the cap gets higher) and they are able to be focused build ready very fast. I don't believe increasing the CP cap faster than the past will impact new players as hard in the past. Hitting this cap of around 810 CP should let hybrids catch up as focused CP returns begin to drop.
At around 1050 CP we will all be hybrids, or trending heavily that way, because at that point the return for focused builds is so small but the gain on other damage types is so great it would be a waste not to pick some morphs that are more beneficial even if you're not specializing in the damage. At 1200, I think focused builds are barely better DPS and their lack of adapatability is a handicap.
I hope we can try to accelerate towards 1200. If you said how could we get there in 3 years then I think you could go 1200-690(current cap)=510/3(CP groups)=170 skill points/(3(updates with CP increases per year)*3(years to do it in))=17-20 skill points per group or 51-60 CP point increases.

How is 7 heavy Fortified Brass
Theory crafting ideas a lot and looking to make my Stam Warden even harder to kill.......I was wondering if anyone runs the heavy version of this set.
Was wanting to try it with Seventh legion. I dont think damage will be a problem because the class is naturally bursty and with a weapon damage proc and a seventh proc with double dot poisons it should be fine.
I think with ice fortress the resist should be around 32-33 k if not more. If I wear blood spawn it will push it higher allowing for Max resist even with major fracture.
Any one tried this set out? Thoughts? Or is there a more survivable set available? Was looking at beekeeper or orgnums scales as well.

So, has Zenimax ever explained the joke that is their interfaces?
Seriously, who actually put together the bank interface? The trader interface? The character build screen? These menus are a significant part of the game and are all very poorly-made.
The bank interface sorts items by categories that only make the smallest amount of sense. Instead of sorting gear by the set it belongs to (Julianos, etc), they sort it by which armor/weapon piece it is, which is really not helpful when you're trying to figure out how many pieces of X set you have collected and/or need. Instead, if I want to check how many pieces of X set I have, I have to literally scroll through my entire bank vault to see all of the items, and then either mentally keep track of how many there are in total or go so far as to write it down on a piece of paper or notepad on my phone/computer. This entire problem would be solved if we had a search bar, but it seems like Zenimax has forgotten they already have the searchbar technology in the game (friends list and guild roster) and refuse to implement it anywhere else it is DESPERATELY NEEDED.
The same problem happens with guild traders. No search bar. Want to look for shoes of the sun? Here, have literally every single pair of shoes listed in the shop. Have fun! WHY IS THERE NO SEARCH BAR FOR THE MASSIVE STORE SYSTEM? Add onto that, when you try to go hunting for motifs, because again, no search bar, you have to actually scroll through the entire guild trader's selection to have even a CHANCE of finding the page(s) you have not yet collected. I have trained my eyes to catch unlearned pages while scrolling down at maximum speed and even for me it can take upwards of 10 minutes to go through a big trader's inventory. This is inexcusable for a game that was made this recently and is still running.
If you've ever looked at your character's stat sheet, you will probably have realized that the main page showing your stats has a HUGE (literally half the screen, vertically and horizontally) blank area that could be showing more information. Some of the things I think would be nice to have there are (I am gong to order them vertically in the order I think they would go best, and would go underneath the main batch of stats):
Everything the list on the left side of the screen is currently being used for (Attribute points, active effects, title)
Everything inside the Character Description field
Dungeons/Trials Uncleared: Normal/Veteran
Coffer-Timer Tracker (This would be a godsend): All trial coffers and quests that give Coffers
Daily Reset Tracker (For planning purposes)
They can easily make room for all this by expanding the main window into the left and removing the one on the left entirely.
Has Zenimax ever said anything about updates to these horrendously antiquated menu screens?
