New Scrolls Order

About Us: We are a group of 450+ mostly soloist/lone wolves who came to together to help each other learn, improve and eventually master this game. We originally catered to primarily new players however as we have progressed through the game we are now a home for veterans as well. At the heart of this guild is a love for ESO and desire to help others progress.

What we offer: We offer both spontaneous and planned World Boss, Skyshard and Dungeon runs. Daily runs through undaunted pledge dungeons. An expert team of Master Crafters that can craft the gear, food, potions and glyphs that you need but also help you achieve Master Crafter status. Trial progression runs 3-5 times a week. A lottery that is run several times a month. We intermittently have a Trader. Most importantly, friendly and helpful guild mates.

Communication: Our preferred source of communication is via Discord. Our address is located in the MOTD in game. In game text chat also fairly active.
We are a no fee guild. Donations to maintain the trader are always appreciated.

How my discussion of Transfer of account over NA and EU servers discussion with ESO support went

For those people who try to contact support because you want to transfer a Character and purchases from the NA server transfers to the EU server this is how your conversation will go. Note this is a real conversation. I hadn't played ESO for a year until I met some friends. I found out that nothing is transfered over servers. Nothing. Its like starting from scratch and you lost everything you paid for. I protected myself and the support person by changing our names but everything has been copied and pasted. Feels like Zenimax just gave me a big "go F*&% yourself". Type agree if you think items purchased like Armor sets, should be accessed by all your characters and throughout both servers!

I met some good friends recently and found out they play ESO but unfortunatly they are playing in the EU servers and I have a character that I spent lots of time (at least a month) and money(150 dollars at least) on in the NA server. Please transfer my character over to the EU servers. So I can play with my friends. If you can't then you need to fix this!!!

If you can't transfer the character over, I don't mind starting a new character as long as I get redeemed the 20,000 crowns I spent, and access to the Grim Harleyquin and the HollowJack armorsets that I had purchased that are available only once a year.

Hey [name], if you understood my frustration then this should be something that should have been fixed a long time ago considering the game has been out for over 3 years now. I know as a person who is in the support department it is out of your power but if you could relay this message to the developers :
"I haven't played ESO for a year, the only reason I subscribed again was to play with these friends, I will unsubscribe now and unload the game. Its not worth the 15 dollars a month if I can't play with my friends. As soon is this is fixed I will resubscribe. I spent a lot of money on this game (easily over $200) with no regrets and would have enjoyed to spend more. This is money out of your pocket. Email me when or if this gets fixed and I will be happy to jump back on."

Not only me, but a couple of pact friends recognize the same issues, always when running against DC at bleakers and aleswell as example, which ends up in disconnects and issues relogging to cyrodiil again. I am sure, its not only some people having that problems.

The Summerset Chapter Game Map Hopes

Since Summerset has been all but confirmed as 2018s Chapter, then lets start talking about what we might find there. I myself know nothing of the place, but what I do is that its somehow even more pristine and idyllic than Auridon.

I can always look up a political map of the island, but what of its geography? Will there be a mountainous region? Large cities considering this is the Altmer seat of power? Or is this just gonna be a jumbled reuse of Auridon assets.

Justice System Change - Alternative to Player Enforcement/Killing

Players being able to kill others who have a bounty was part of the original justice system plan, but it was scrapped due in part, I believe, to concerns about griefing and harassment. However, guards are now trivial idiots since everyone has mastered the art of sneaking around guards (and it's not very hard to begin with), so I am proposing an alternative. What if, when you are near a player with a bounty, a synergy pops up that you can activate, and doing so calls the nearest guard to come running over? Or it generates a new guard very close by, who immediately runs over to accost the never-do-gooder? Peace and justice for all.

Hey everyone . Been doing some testing and ran one of the new dungeons with a DK tank in PTS today . Nerfs to PvE Tank sustain is quite high sadly . I am hoping this thread will help you understand what is going on and/or find a way around it .

BLOCK COST

Base block cost reduced to 1730 from 2160 .

Live patch block cost calculation :

Block Cost = (( 2160 * (1-Shadow Ward) (1-Sturdy) (1-Fortress)) - Shield-Play) * (1-Defensive Posture)

Lowest possible block cost for this formula is 88 .

And here is the new one =

Block Cost = (( 1730 - Shield-Play ) * (1-Shadow Ward) (1-Sturdy) ( 1-Fortress)) * (1-Defensive Posture)

Lowest possible block cost for this formula is 336 .

Now , the important part is , how effective Shield-Play is .

Let's do two different setups . First one with 3 Shield-Play enchants , second one with none .

First setup has 336 block cost while the second one has 520 . Looking at the difference , Shield-Play enchants doesn't seem to be as effective as before . 3 enchants give you a block cost reduction of 184 , which was 609 before the nerf . This brings up the question . Shield-Play enchants are worth it or not ?

I think the answer lies in what kind of fight you will be tanking in . For example , while tanking axes , Shield-Play enchants will win without a doubt while Magicka Recovery enchants perform better in fights where you don't block as much . I would say Stamina Cost Reduction could be useful as well but they get their share from diminishing returns too and there isn't really a lot of skills that cost stamina except Pierce Armor and Heroic Slash . To sum it up , I think we have to keep different jewelries with different enchants on them , for different fights .

While running one of the new dungeons , I tried 3 Magicka Recovery glyphs on jewelry . My build was Ebon/Alkosh/Lord Warden , 8 Sturdy , all tri-stat enchants as an Imperial . Classic trials tank build in other words . I was running Lord Mundus and Equilibrium . Being honest with you , I had issues whenever I permablocked . I had to drop my block and throw some heavy attacks time to time . You actually can keep permablocking with just Equilibrium and Igneous Shield spam , especially with the help of potions and Battle Roar passive , it is quite easy as long as you have a decent healer . Still , this doesn't matter because you will have to support your team with usage of other skills , costing time and resources .

SYNERGIES AND ALKOSH

Another nerf we need to talk about is Orb and Spear synergy . The cooldown increased to 30 seconds from 20 seconds . This is a straight nerf to Alkosh and sustain . I don't know why this happened , even though ZOS says it's because they are not triggering the Global Cooldown anymore . I don't see it being a good reason for such a strong nerf like this .

There are some more nerfs to Alkosh wearing tanks and Stamina DDs . Such as ;

Blood Funnel and Blood Feast (Blood Altar & morphs) : Increased the radius of the prompt to 28 meters.
Radiate (Inner Fire & morphs) : The prompt is now only visible to allies positioned further than 18 meters away from the taunted enemy.
Spawn Broodlings, Black Widows, and Arachnophobia (Trapping Webs & morphs) : The prompt is now only visible to allies positioned further than 18 meters away from the webbed enemy.

With these changes , I don't see Alkosh being as good as before even though you could use it on both tanks and still get high uptime . Only synergies you will be using are Conduit and Orbs/Shards as a tank , which makes Alkosh uptime really low when solo and worse compared to current live version .

With the new CP increase , DDs will get less and less benefits from damage oriented CPs . I think it is time for DDs to cover the lack of penetration with the extra CP and let tanks use some other support set .

It almost looks like ZOS wants to make Alkosh useless (both for tanks and melee DDs) but it is such a good set , I hope ZOS will revent some of these changes so we can keep using it more effectively .

OFF BALANCE AND LIGHTNING STAFF

Another important change is about Off Balance . I know a lot of tanks use Lightning Staff on their back bar for better Crusher uptime and some help with Off Balance . With the new block cost changes and Off Balance changes , I think Lightning Staff is not useful anymore . During my testing runs , I used a Frost Staff without the Tri-Focus passive . If you take that passive , your Magicka will be RIP while on back bar . It is really , really bad . I do not recommend it to anyone . Just don't take the passive and try to stay as low amount time as possible on your back bar .

I think keeping a Destro Staff on back bar is still a very good strat for better Crusher uptime , whether it be Frost , Lightning or Flame . Frost preferred obviously .

CLASS DIFFERENCE

Another issue I would like to talk about is the difference between classes . Dragonknights and Wardens are far better at sustaining without dropping block in live server . This gap between classes will grow a lot more , forcing other classes to drop block and heavy attack far more often , making them much harder to play , especially if we consider the lag and required reaction time for veteran trials . I do not like this one bit . There needs to be some changes . Obviously , you could drop block and heavy attack whenever it is necessary but it will be necessary to do that quite often , especially for certain classes . This means , less care about group support and boring gameplay . Making it harder to sustain on tanks do not make the game more fun . Next patch is so harsh on tanks that we will have to stop debuffing to heavy attack because we actually can consume more than 2k stamina in 2 seconds , even with the lowest block cost setup .

FINAL WORDS

It almost looks like to me that ZOS wants tanks to drop support sets and wear sets that will give them self-sustain , tankiness etc. Tanking is and always been a support role in this game and should stay that way . These changes will make quite a lot of PvE tanks to stop playing their tank and play some other role . No offense to PvP players but these changes are hilarious just because some players fails to kill a tank in Cyrodiil . I think a lot of people on forums read that one thread where some guy kills 10 high-rank players (all of them had cost increase poisons) on his own as a permablock DK . What a joke ... Well guess what , there are already too few tanks in PvE and these changes will make some of them quit their role . I remember in Morrowind where ZOS introduced all the sustain nerfs and almost half of my raiding group quit the game because how boring it was to play . Now the same thing is happening to this small PvE tanking community that makes me wonder how many will continue . I know that this is only the first week of PTS and there will be changes but for now , this is what I think . I am hoping for better changes coming in the next several weeks .

What are your most memorable, interesting events that you saw or had happen to you in the Imperial City sewers? WIth the upcoming housing storage being only sold in writs or Telvar, I imagine many of us are going to take the plunge.

It doesn't have to be bad or good, but the most interesting and one you'll likely not forget. I'll share mine in a bit.

Can Equilibrium trigger 'damage taken' effects?

I can't find anything to confirm either way and was wondering if it can be used to force something like pirate skeleton to trigger when you want it to rather than hoping for procs off enemies.
Tried testing it myself but I can't tell if it's not working or I just have really bad luck, anyone know for certain?

So my SO has recently gotten into ESO and she seems to enjoy PVE with a two-hander most, in medium armor. I don't play DK so I wouldn't mind some advice on a good, DPS-oriented and noob-friendly build for her. Something that would survive a dungeon but also dish out some decent damage. I was considering hundings with divine TBS but not sure if that would have enough survivability.

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v3.3.0 and the Dragon Bones DLC Game Pack! As with previous updates, the base game patch will be available to everyone who owns The Elder Scrolls Online and the DLC Game Pack will automatically download with it, allowing you instant access to the new content when you purchase it or activate an ESO Plus membership. Anyone who owns ESO and has an active ESO Plus membership will also automatically have access to the Dragon Bones DLC Game Pack. If your ESO Plus membership ends or lapses, you will no longer have access to the DLC Game Pack content and areas, but you will still have any items you earned while you had access.

In this update, you’ll be able to explore and conquer two all-new 4 player dungeons – Fang Lair and Scalecaller Peak. These dungeons offer new item sets, Monster Masks, achievements and unique rewards! We’ve also added two new Battlegrounds maps – Mor Khazgur and Deeping Drome – which are available to anyone who owns The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind.

In the base game patch, we’ve added several new features including the highly-anticipated Outfit System, which gives you the freedom to customize the visual appearance of your gear, and Home Storage Furnishings! We’ve also added two new systems to aid players as they adventure throughout Tamriel: a Level Up Advisor and Skills Advisor. Suggestions for Sorc Pet changes...

1) This is number one because it is the most important: make them ethereal! Just like Nightblade's shadows and quite a few pets summoned by set procs, make Sorcerer pets have no health, take no damage and cannot be targeted by players or enemies. These are skills, and as such should be available to players at all times just like any other skill. No other skill dies and takes 2.5 seconds - at magicka cost! - to make it available to cast again.
2) Make the Twilight at least 50% smaller and the Familiar/Clannfear 25% smaller. A lot of people choose not to use pets, or are annoyed by other people's pets, just because they are too darn big and hence obscure people's vision of important animations.
3) Since pets will no longer draw aggro - this is given if they are made ethereal, because they cannot be targeted - the Clannfear will need a new purpose. Just as the Volatile Familiar stuns on its final pulse, allow the Clannfear to be activated to leap and stun a target for 3 seconds, then bleeds for X damage over 10 seconds. The Twilight already heals more than the Clannfear, unless you are a tank, so keep the Clannfear/Familiar choice between stam and mag dps.
4) Since pets will no longer die - again, because of being ethereal - there is no need to sort out dodgy scripting that insta-kill them for no reason when certain enemies die. If they are not made ethereal, please sort out these scripting issues.

It's no fun taking hundreds of hours to master a build that is literally useless in certain situations because your key skills are, at best, greyed out and, at worst, actually causing other players to die. These proposed changes (except Clannfear idea) do not constitute a buff to Sorc pets - only a way to remove a situation-based nerf that was likely to be unintentional in the first place.

Today, a member of the UESP community has data-mined Artaeum from the game files! An island found in the Summerset archipelago, it is known for its Psijic architecture, as well as the Ceporah Tower. It is a model for this exact tower which has now been found in the game files, and it is one of interest and fascination, having predated the arrival of the Altmer on the island by several hundred years!

In addition, more assets for Spiral Skein have been found in the files too, including a map and a loading screen which appears to be a screenshot for the time being. Check out this video regarding Mephala's Realm, shown all the way back from Quakecon 2014! Credit for these discoveries go to FloorBelow (FloorBelow#7727) from the UESP Discord!

Also, FloorBelow has tracked down dialogue related to what is thought to be the prologue quest for the upcoming chapter. Note, that Bewan in Auridon is mentioned, and there were recently changes to the map of Bewan as seen here, although this was originally thought to be for spellcrafting.

I know this will have been posted before. However, here are a few thoughts that may be different.

Awesome views, epic roleplay
Firstly, being able to fly a dragon like in Skyrim in ESO would simply be marvellous. It would be so fun for roleplay and being able to view this incredibly visual game from another perspective would be fantastic, not to mention the video footage / screenshots for game advertisements!

Worried about making ground mounts redundant?
Perhaps there could be a long mount and dismount time (with the creature flying down from the sky and climbing up like Daenerys in GoT). This could make it similar in a practical sense to a wayshrine and mean that people don't just hop on to go short distances and harvest resources faster. It would also make it look even more totally epic...

Concerned about the impact on exploration?
Other games have exploration requirements so that the zones must have been explored already before the flyers can be used there. Seems to work well.

What about flying into forbidden areas?
I'm not a huge fan of the invisible walls, though I can appreciate that they are sometimes useful. Personally, I really like the idea of the slaughterfish (though I do wish there were more underwater swimming in ESO). It wouldn't be too implausible to be mobbed by a few cliff racers and torn off the mount if you were to venture into those areas.

What about the time and energy from ZOS to create this feature?
A little like homes, I imagine they would be an enjoyable extra for those who like to roleplay more than anything. There is clearly a market for such things, and I for one would pay very handsomely to purchase something like this from the Crown Store. I would predict that it would pay for itself and more besides.

A Huge Molag Bal Bug

I decided to finish the story line quests with my alt toon, and i have faced a very huge bug.
Molag Bal is no longer grabing the players toon, and the epic fighting sceen with using the amulet to desintegrate his body is not starting either.
The Character is just stands in the air not doing anything just standing there, no animations are playing, molag bal is just stands theer as well,

the game pops up the using of the sacrifice but nothing visible is happening, after standing in air with a few secodns durring the sacrifice used, molag bals body became gone, not in that way who it should be it simply wanishes in thin air, like some one cuted out of the game.

Durring the fight with him when he finaly landing in his litle form, the fight became bugy as well. hes fire skills are not damaging at all. stun animations wich effects the players are not stuns at all, and nor even the disoriented animation is playing.
not to mention when he pulles up me from teh land at the begining the fps is tweeks down form 60-to 9. Thats a lot fps drops!

I dont know its a script issues or something engine stuff went wrong but this bug needs to be fixed immediately.
It ruined the whole fight including of its epicness.
My stream viewers are laughed at this and called out the game in very bad names. Wich is made me think it was so sad and it did hurt me to see so much hatered for the developers in coments.
I am going to upload the video to this thread to provide a footage to the developers can investigate and fix this issues.
I will editing this thread when my video rendering and uploading will be done.

How do you Animation Cancel a dodgeroll?

I've been messing around with it and i can't seem to figure out how to pull it off. I've seen a few players use it defensively to travel extremely quickly (a la dodgeroll) but with the ani cancel they can block during the movement instead of being vulnerable to certain attacks that would normally counter the dodgeroll (leap, birds, jabs, etc)

Anyone know the right keys to press to pull this off?

Ive seen the same guy do it a few times, as well as a few other really mechanical players.

EDIT: Plz dont say "oh that's hacking" .. it's clearly not.. its a dodgeroll's speed and it's a dodgeroll's length every time i see it. I'm just trying to figure out how it gets ani cancelled.

Healer Set? Spell Power Cure and....?

I've heard a lot people saying SPC is a must for any decent healer....so I am going to go with that as a first set.
However, I have read a lot people saying Worm's Raiment Set is a second must, however, I seriously think Necropotence Set is much more useful.
I have yet to have a big american guild in Europe server that does trials often so I can get access to Twilight Remedy Set instead of Necropotence.
So, what do you guys think? Necropotence or Worm's Raiment?
