Spidersilk Gone?

I have been searching for days now in the zones for spider silk Makabal Tor and Greenshade and all I find is cotton. This has been going on now for a long time it seems. I just started to do some crafting writs using up most of my spidersilk and not none is to be found. Anyone else noticed this?

Vulkhel Guard(Auridon location) - the best city in the game, to improve the skill of "pocket theft", and to pump the skill "Legerdemain". Here, the largest number of non-player characters on the streets, who can be cleaned.
  But there are players who interfere with playing and spoiling the game. I'm talking about regular massacres at Vulkhel Guard.

Would you want this as an upcoming change?

Right now, if you have 1 health point, you function at full strength, as if you had 100% health. But if you have 1 health point, you are really on the verge of death. As you lose health, you get weaker, so your DPS also decreases. So maybe when you have 99% health you do 99% DPS. When you have 43% health, you do 43% DPS. This would add an interesting mechanic to the game and mayhaps make proficient healers even more essential.

Purge not working reliable on vHoF 1st. boss?

Today my group realised that purge sometimes didn't remove the poison on the first boss in vHoF. We are split in two groups of six, so purge should in theory hit everyone in the group, but it doesn't. I sometimes spammed purge multiple times while a DD right beside me died of poison not getting a single purge. We never had that problem before HotR.

So now my question is: Did the boss or purge get changed? Is that a bug or intended?

Daggerfall overlook or mathiisen manor?

I always wanted to own a home and customize it to my liking (even though that'll cost a fortune + no experience), but IMO, most houses I don't really like. Be it either too dark and dim, even with lights added, too small, or not my liking.

Recently, I've been interested in two locations, Daggerfall overlook and Mathiisen manor.

At first, I l wanted to always buy Mathiisen manor, because I really like the white washed stone, and bright environment. Which causes the house to be much less 'dim looking' in my opinion. Eventually, I started to see some of the flaws that came with the home. A few examples being:
  • Small front yard
  • Lack of rooms
  • Interior feels like it's mostly just hallways (contributed from previous bullet point)
This brings me to my next choice: Daggerfall Overlook.

I feel as if I should buy this house the moment I am able to. Largely because of the Breton type architecture and how my main character I play along with previous Elder scrolls games tends to be a Breton.

I really like the big courtyard, and the fact that it comes with a set of stables, and small 'workshop' area next to the manor itself. Another thing I really like is that the interior has rooms and a nice amount of them. Which helps the house not feel like a bundle of hallways such as the previous manor.

One aspect I like that actually doesn't have to do with manor is the location itself. It's not too far, but not too close or inside a city itself. I love the peaceful and quiet road that you take before you enter the city of Daggerfall.

A few things I don't like about this manor:
  • The dark colored stone, which causes the manor and its walls to be somewhat gaunt, and looks similar to that of a vampire themed exterior.
  • The trapdoor in the 'basement' shouldn't really be there. The shore is nothing but the ocean itself.
  • The high walls within the watchtower, blocks the nice view you could possibly get if they were removed.

Now that I explained quite a bit on the pros and cons of each home, what do you think I should get it?

Over the weekend I completed Maelstrom on my Stam Warden. Yay! No really, it felt pretty good and I am still tickled by it after how long I was stuck there. Then I decided to work on a skeleton. Gold weapons, purple gear, VO/NMG/Mighty Chudan/ Maelstrom Bow.

I barely pull 16k DPS, but I just beat Maelstrom. I actually tried stormfist, but it caused all sorts of crazy lag and the extra resistance really helps from getting instantly melted by guards.

I would be ashamed of myself taking this guy into vet anything, and I haven’t; but you know. Stormproof. My Stamplar is about the same, StamSorc is a little better. The only Stam toon I actually have decent Skeleton DPS on is my StamBlade and it relies so much on relentless, I think it’s actually worthless in Trials where the lag is ridiculous. The execute damage is really good though.

Stam recovery jewelry goes a long way. Few piece of well fitted ain’t so bad. Race makes a significant difference and also resistance, ie Redguard/Mighty Chudan
Shoot for 18k+ Health 1500+ Stam recovery 3200+ Weapon Damage and close to 20k resistance

Magic builds are not quite as generic to be successful I think.

So anyways, I have a Mag Warden, DK, Nightblade that need Stormproof now. I’ve got the gear now lol. Well, I could use a few more lightning Staffs so they don’t have to share. I’m not worried about my Stam DK or Mag Templar since they never take DPS roles....but maybe one day

Not really sure how this ended up as my goal, but here I am now. So glancing over Maelstrom builds that require Maelstrom weapons makes sense now.

I’ve actually only done it 2 times straight through. Leaderboards on a Sorc are not gonna happen for me anytime soon, but I got one on StamBlade. That really shocked me. You could get leaderboards very easy on warden or Templar right now I think. If that is your goal. I’m just looking for completes still. And a little gear.

The Mag Warden looks like basically copying PetSorc build with a few different skills thrown in. We’ll see.

Fortified nirncrux trait: Should it be changed?

From my understanding- the only decent piece of armor to put fortified nincrux on is a shield. Other than that- fortified nincrux is pretty useless. For such a rare drop- it appears that it's not worth anything other than learning it for crafting.

Am I missing something important about fortified ninrcrux?

On PVP gear, we usually run Infused on head, chest, legs. Impen on all the secondary armor parts. (sometimes sturdy if you block a lot)
On PVE gear, we usually run Infused on head, chest, legs. Divines on all the secondary parts. (unless you're a tank- then you throw in some sturdy/reinforced)

If fortified nincrux really isn't that beneficial (since it seems like it's similar to reinforced)- what would you suggest that ZoS changes the trait to? Just anything to make fortified nirncrux more beneficial.

I'd suggest that they change fortified nirncrux to receive 50% of two traits. For instance: you could make a single armor piece that has divines and impen on it. So, a legendary piece of armor with fortified nincrux would increase your mundus by 3.75% AND provide 129 impen. Or you could mix any two traits on armor: Infused/divines, Reinforced/sturdy, etc...

Thoughts? Suggestions?

We've had some major PTS patches this past year come and go and just about each one myself and others have asked for another Race balance passover to correct some imbalances that have been further perpetuated by other core changes in the game such as the major overhaul of Stamina/Magicka sustain.

There's one race in particular, the Argonian, that you may have noticed the huge influx of as of late for PvP. ESO steamers and build publishers recommending Argonian as best for not just Magicka builds but for Stamina and Tank. The reason being is the Argonian Resourceful passive which returns 4620 Health, Stamina, and Magicka when you consume a Potion. You essentially get almost a Tri Stat potion on top of the resources from the actual Potion you use.

Why is this a big deal? Because when Stamina/Magicka sustain was rebalanced in the effort to make players invest more into Recovery instead of just running double damage sets they seemed to forget that there is two races in the game where you can get a lot of Resource return regardless of your Recovery stat, Argonian and Redguard. In the case of Argonian you not only get the sustain for your main stat but you get that same Recovery for Health, Stamina, and Magicka. That is why Argonian has gained such massive popularity lately because in PvP the #1 factor is sustain now, not a few percentage differences in DPS.

Now I'm not calling for a nerf to Argonian or Redguard but with all these major changes to sustain the other races need buffs to offset that huge difference in resource return. Namely races like Khajiit, Nord, Imperial, and Breton are the ones furthest behind and in need of some kind of buffs. Wood Elf, Orc, and High Elf could use minor buffs as well either in Recovery or Damage.

As another major update rolls around here at the first of the year I hope that we can see at least some look this PTS at what can be changed to bring more balance between the Races.

Good evening, :)

Im my opinion, the really important amount of undodgeable / unavoidable of skills is of the most important problem between classes and armor balance. (and these kind of damages has been added a bit more with each update while counterplay is removed at the same time.

Is there any changes coming next patch about this? (less unavoidable skills and more counterplay). Or Zenimax is planning to working on it sooner or later? Or it does not matter? :/

General Consensus on Gap Closer Changes?

I'm wondering what the community's thoughts are on the PTS' changes (nerfs) to gap closers.

From my perspective, I had never even considered that gap closers were overtuned. So many meta builds in PVP do not even bother to slot gap closers , so I'm honestly wondering what prompted these seemingly arbitrary changes.

Teleport Strike: Decreased the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 13%.
Ambush nerf is unexpected (as all of these changes are), but I'm not beat up about it. It's a self-buffing gap closer that can be annoying to deal with when spammed, due to a lack of minimum range required to cast it.

Critical Charge: Decreased the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 11%.
Critical Rush (Critical Charge morph): Decreased the damage bonus based on distance traveled granted by this morph to 40% from 68%.

In terms of performance, I do think that Crit Rush may have been overperforming in comparison to other stamina gap closers, like Ambush. However, I think that the nerf to it's maximum damage% increase based on distance traveled is excessive. 68% to 40% is a massive change on top of the 11% base damage decrease which would be better implemented through incremental changes after testing if necessary.


Critical Charge: Decreased the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 11%.
Stampede (Critical Charge morph): Decreased the duration of the snare applied by this morph to 4 seconds from 8 seconds.
One Hand and Shield

The nerf to Stampede's utility is absolutely understandable and ultimately a good change in my opinion. However, it was still be relatively easy to reapply, so we'll have to keep our eyes on how the latest iteration will affect PVP.

Focused Charge: Decreased the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 18%.
Pounce: Decreased the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 16%.

I fundamentally do not comprehend the changes to Focused Charge or Pounce, though. I don't play any builds that utilize those, and almost never do I fight someone that does. When I DO fight someone using these, the thought that they're overtuned has not occurred to me.

Shield Charge: Decreased the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 20%.
Same case with Invasion, haven't had a problem with it. 20% nerf seems a bit drastic, like the Crit Rush nerf. Most S&B builds I've seen do not even use Shield Charge or its morphs.

So those are my thoughts on the proposed changes, what are yours?

Hi guys,

I need some help with gearing.

My main character is about 300 cp, and my alts will be level 50 soon.
On my main, I have no proper gear, just some random stuff what I found during questing. I’d like to change that, and I try to collect/craft gear sets with my main for my alts too.
I am not a good player, and I prefer soloing, so I am interested in easily obtainable gears (I don’t mind the grind), so no trials, vMA, harder dungeons etc. for me. On the other hand, I will be a master crafter soon.
I am a PVE player, but I like to go to Cyrodiil (and mainly do PVE quests there alone), so I need a simple pvp set too.
Can you give me some (general) tips/links?

My chars (all DPS):
- Main: magicka sorcerer, 2 pet build, destro/destro.
I have an idea here for PVE, 5 Necropotence (jewelry, 2 armor pieces with divines traits), 5 Julianos (2 weapons with infused traits, 3 armor pieces with divines traits), Ilambris head+shoulders.
- stamina warden, dw/bow
- stamina dragonknight, dw/bow, werewolf
- magicka templar, destro/destro
- stamina nightblade dw/bow
- with the new dlc in the next month, I plan to level up a magicka dragonknight (dps) too

In general, which dps sets are worth keeping in my bank? I am an altoholic, so I will be create more characters in the future for sure.
I would be grateful if you help me. Thank you :smile:

Random Teleporting

I really don't know if I am the only one having this issue. But a couple times in pvp I was teleported around randomly.
Basically I respawned at a keep and wasn't able to exit via the doors. As I tried to run up the stairs and jump out of the keep, I was simply teleported back...
Also I wasn't lagging or disconnected, I actually killed 4 players who happened to be inside the keep sieging it (maybe this caused the bug).
If this is in anyway relevant I would also like to say that this happened in Farragut Keep :).

Have any of you experienced the same issue recently...in pvp?pve?

Let's hope this get's fixed soon :smile:

The Guild

Gorgon is a newly formed guild consisting of a experienced group of handpicked friends who have raided together in various guilds and are now forming their own with the aim of competitive raiding. We are looking for experienced people of all roles to join our ranks in order to compete on the leader-boards, overcome challenges, achievements and above all have fun whilst striving to progress as a group with a competitive attitude.

Applicants

We are currently recruiting for all roles however the aim is to keep the guild small and tight-knit to ensure that we can progress better and work as effectively as possible within the team. All candidates must have veteran trial experience, knowledge of mechanics, sets, the class you play and willingness to listen to the raid leader. Please note that it is a must that you are able to use Teamspeak in all raids and to be able to communicate efficiently via microphone. Finally we do ask that applicants be at the CP cap for maximum optimisation in raids however in some cases exceptions can be made. We do maintain a social and friendly element too using Telegram to make sure everyone gets on outside of raids and to help new people fit in easier. Current raiding days are Monday, Tuesday, Friday and occasionally Saturday.

Damage Dealers will be asked to perform a DPS test on the 6mil dummy where all relevant buffs such as shock-wall, elemental drain and fracture will be provided, the DPS needed is class dependant and will be decided upon seeing your gear and rotation - if we think you have potential and you cannot quite reach the required mark then we are happy to help with rotation, gear and to re-try at a later date.

Ranged Prioity: High
Melee Priority: Low

Healers are required to have the relevant sets, understanding of trial mechanics and a good understanding of how abilities/buffs work in order for the group to perform at maximum output. If you are applying as a healer you will be invited on a trial run where we will be looking at your buff up-times, healing, warhorn rotation and ability to apply your knowledge.

Priority: Low

Tanks like healers will be required to have the relevant sets, understanding of trial mechanics, know mob spawn locations, mob placement, a good understanding of abilities/buffs and most importantly survivability. As a tank you will be invited on a trial run where we will be looking at the above mentioned aswell as buff uptimes, warhorn rotation and ability to apply your knowledge.

Prioity: High

We are always willing to help applicants if they show promise or potential and will always welcome people who are able to think outside of the box with a builds and think for themselves as opposed to following a guide which has been posted on Youtube. We will however add that people who are looking for an easy carry through content to obtain skins, achievements or titles and players who are willing to sacrifice vitality or score for their own personal DPS may be better off applying elsewhere as we are looking for a well organised group with regular attendance.

What we aim to offer is a friendly but experienced, competitive and optimised environment where together we can achieve goals and consistently progress. Want to hide werewolf appearance like vampires want to hide vampire appearance

I heard some other people complaining in zone chat today about how unfair it would be if vampires were able to completely hide their vampiric appearance. To make it fair, the werewolf players want to be able to hide their werewolf appearance while in werewolf form. Ridiculous, or is it just me who thinks this?
