Bar Swap Issue

So this happens on only one of my characters. And it's a permanent thing.

When i bar swap i can't bar swap again for like 3 seconds. And during that time my weapon doesn't appear to change. I can use backbar skills but can't swap back again for 3 seconds. And i can't light attack properly. This makes my MAIN char useless. I can't play with it.

I have tried everything i can think of(Game Repair, Disabling Add-ons, Equipping different weapons, Changing in-game settings etc.)

[BUG] Cant see your teammates in dungeon

Seems that when your teammate is not in the same phase you dont see him at all. You used to see his name in the ground so you would know more or less where he is

Today you just see nothing at all, as if he was not here (but he is here and attacking the same boss as you)

Instant fix for bar swap bug - set texture settings to LOW

Open video settings
Set TEXTURE SETTINGS to LOW

All other graphic settings can stay exactly the same.

Fixed.


The bug is NOT connected to any addons, mouse-wheels, gamepads or anything else. Its a pure texture problem and instantly fixed if you change texture to low.

Console Not Looking Forward to the Update...

I play on PS4 currently, and lowkey am not looking forward to this update at all. And neither are many of the folks that I have spoken with.

I mean... Yeah there are nice things that come along with it like the ability to design outfits (still a cash grab and gold sink), and the whole dragonic theme. But uh... The amount of: Bugs, nerfs (why must you kick my MagDK while it was already down ZOS?), and overall problems with this update have a lot of folks on console dreading the update which looms overhead.

Please tell me that you all at ZOS HQ will have all of these things ironed out by the time console gets it, and we won’t have to suffer like the PC players have. We’ve gone through enough on console (especially the Xbox players). Please tell me that we have nothing to worry about.

TL;DR Version: A lot of us on console are viewing this update like the Windows update from Vista or 7 to Windows 8 or 10. Do NOT want. :c

We’ve created this thread in an effort to facilitate coordination among players on the PC/Mac North American and European megaservers who would like to become vampires or werewolves and those who already are. Rather than creating a new thread, please post here to let others know if you’re seeking or offering a vampire or werewolf bite.

A few things to keep in mind:
  • This thread is for coordinating free bites
    • We do not allow for trades or sales of any kind to be coordinated on the forums.
    • Some players may offer or request payment, and we want to remind everyone that if you choose to pay for a bite, you do so at your own risk.
    • Accepting in-game payment for a service like this and not delivering the agreed upon service is a violation of the game’s Terms of Service.
  • Please only post once
    • Posting multiple times clutters the thread and makes it more difficult to navigate.
    • The only exception here would be if you’re seeking a bite in your first comment, and later in the thread you are offering a bite to others.
  • Do not create separate threads in addition to posting here
    • This creates more work for us, as we're actively closing the smaller request threads and redirecting to the appropriate places.

Decorating Hints, Tips & Ideas

I've seen many great ideas from posters on decorating, and thought it would be good to have such tips etc together in one post. So please share yours here! :)

I'll start off with one of mine:

Turning furnishings upside down can often give you different looks to be creative with.
e.g the Vvardenfell Scale Model turned upside down makes for great patio paving!

Absolutely Hate Where They Put Hide Helmet...

Why should I have to go to an outfit station if I decide out on the fly that I want to show a helmet. ZOS put it back. I've never played a game that made hide helmet so damned difficult to do. Every other game has it so you can do it on the fly.

Dragon Bones Collectors edition overpriced?

I think so, sure the mount and pet look cool but 4,000 crowns is very steep for a collectors edition of a dungeon pack, thats the exact same price as the Clockwork city which is a zone...not 2 dungeons...

And the skeevatron was a new animation like the "Dragon" although it was smaller but thats not the price, ZOS Sell this for atleast 2,000 crowns that sounds more fair, 4,000 is over priced.

AoE Cap Removal Post Mortem

So, AOE caps are gone.

Thoughts?

Haven't gotten to run in a raid yet myself, but it was hilarious watching a dozen players melt on when a door repair crew got bomb bladed. That, at least, felt way nastier than it used to be.

As an aside: TBH, the best part of this patch is the 'no more monster shoulder graphics' thing. God, I hated that dumb one shoulder thing. Felt like it was trying to be fake edgelord. Gimme my proper Imperial shoulders, kthxbye.

i don't say nerf magsorc or magden or whatever, just the absorbs amount is ridiculous. Stacking the resto shield when low hp and annulment will grant over 20k absorb, which can be spammed. I must have 40k dps in a pvp build to even break that down. And i can't compare the amount of resources i waste to get through this against the resources to apply these absorbs. Don't come to me with things like "get shieldbreaker" yeah everyone let's get this one set because of every mag build running absorbs.

yes, a very naive melody :)

initially I had tried to kick off the conversation with questions on a bunch of random topics...

love to fight, carry scrolls, gank, defend, attack, pour oil on folks, repair keep walls til your fingers bleed - this is your thread...

love hearing big and little battle stories, as well as observations concerning the interaction between the alliances in this campaign - who doesn't love a good bridge fight...

big IC fan...at this point i wanna apologize right now for anything weird or crazy i may have done in IC (or for any future stuff)...I'm pretty laid back in cyro - IC has a way of getting me fired up on occasion...

hmmmmm, is it really true cyro reveals whom you want to be, and, IC reveals who you truly are...

if you want - say what's up, and if you like - let us all know what's up...

anyhow - enjoy, and, happy gaming trails...

bonus question: if any one knows where the reference "loose tales" (spelt differently) comes from - you'll win...ummmm, my undying admiration?

Extremely dangerous housing storage bug still exists! Don't delete your characters!

Well, I'm quite confused, ZOS. You let this issue go on live servers, and you didn't even aware people about it.

1. I've got a housing storage chest, placed it in my house, deposited 1 bound item (crafter's survey scroll).
2. Logged out.
3. Logged in on my 3 lvl character, teleported to that house and deposited 1 bound armour piece in the storage chest.
4. Logged out.
5. Deleted this 3 lvl character.
6. Logged in on my previous character (who deposited crafter's survey), opened the storage chest and... It's empty! Completely empty!

Because the game deletes all bound items from these chests when you delete a character!!! It deletes not just this character's items, but all bound items in the chest.

Moreover:

1. Deposited 1 bound crafter's survey in the chest, logged out.
2. Created new character, logged in, teleported to the house, logged out.
3. Deleted this new character. - Item's lost.

So, even if you didn't touch the chest, bound items in the chest will be lost anyway.

Be careful, guys.

Sadly, I've got a character deletion cooldown, so I can't try out one more scenario. I was going to test the following:
1. Deposit bound item, log out.
2. Create new character, log in, log out (not going to the house).
3. Delete this new character.
Maybe someone else could do this?

The patch notes said items found only in furnished homes were now in the purchase section of the editor. I expected this to be (as one example) the bed of coals, but it wasn't. Anyone know what did make it in?

Should Templar Magic Hurt Vampires More? (Like Fire)

Templar magic is basically the exact same Aedric magic as the Dawnguard sunfire magic in Skyrim.

And as far as I recall, the sunfire spells of Dawnguard were even better than fire at killing Vampires.

I therefore think its only logical that that the Templar skills should do something similar in ESO.

Experiencing bar swap glitch non stop with all addons turned off. Takes about 1.5 seconds to swap and says "cannot weapon swap while changing gear". Completely unplayable....
