My 'I give up' magplar build

Being creative has not been working for me with pvp builds for my magplar lately. I always seem to be underperforming in one small aspect and can't quite get a well-rounded set of stats. Here is what I've settled on, and I want your opinions on it. It's basically my 'meh' low-effort build that came from trying too hard at min-maxing.

Valkyn Skoria 2x 1med/1 light impen
Shacklebreaker 5x heavy, 3 impen with magicka enchant, 2 infused with tri-glyph enchant
3x Spinner's arcane jewelry, spell damage enchants
2x Spinner's precise swords, spell damage and magicka steal enchants
1x Spinner's powered resto staff, magicka steal enchant (5 pc bonus does not benefit heals right?)
Spell crit mundus, Witchmother's brew, Spell power pots

It's mostly for No-CP BGs. I wanted to check here first cause it's gonna cost a damn fortune. Any thoughts?

Mag Sorcerers Need a Buff (ZOS Please READ)

Seriously mag sorcerers needs a buff, our shields have been nerfed into the ground by being cut in half in pvp and the time limited to 6 seconds and Shield Breaker makes it to where you get hit for more with Shields, with one hit my shields are gone and I have to reapply them. This problem is also compounded by damage health glyphs and poisons. Dark Conversion has never been reliable as a heal because it is interruptible or waste an ultimate to save my life. Streak has had the cost increased and people can travel further than we can using crit rush or similar skill so we can't get away or reposition ourselves in the battle field. Crystal frags have been nerfed by taking the stun & knock back down and Crystal Blast is worthless because it is interruptible. I have to wear light armor to be affective but in doing so I can't survive hardly any focus at all. And, now you guys are giving interrupt a cool down, so crushing shock is not worth a thing. It is time for magicka sorcerers to be given something back. I have played a magicka sorcerer since prelaunch I know how to play this class but y'all need to do something for this class or there won't be any in the game, maybe that is what you want I don't know.

Instant fix for bar swap bug - set texture settings to LOW

Open video settings
Set TEXTURE SETTINGS to LOW

All other graphic settings can stay exactly the same.

Fixed.


The bug is NOT connected to any addons, mouse-wheels, gamepads or anything else. Its a pure texture problem and instantly fixed if you change texture to low.

I really cannot understand the thought process behind having a long distance execution ability that is undodgeable to top it off and then add ability to have damage shields that in 1v1 encounters there is almost no point to even bother. I have been paying close eye to the death report details, about 8 out of 10 times when I die in Cyrodiil campaign is to endless fury explosion. I agree that every class needs to have their bs to make them strong somewhere but there is a limit there, like nightblades have their clo... oh wait sorc takes that away too with huge hit box unavoidable stun attack that takes a lot of space.

My two cents that is really the only thing about pvp I have grown to dislike, is mag sorc. Too tanky for 1 button press spam (oblivion enchantment doesn't hit +15k to take them out so don't even bother with that, stuns are not frequent enough to stop them from moving all together and they got insane surge to escape if things seem going south)

PC EU, on my magsorc the barswaping is realy weird ,
my skill bar is changing but the weapon itself is swaping 2seconds later ,
there is no delay at casting skills , 70 ping . so WTF is wrong with the barswap ???

Hi,

Having a hard time deciding which build I would like to do.

The primary role in PVE is going to be a tank, however I would still like to use the build in PVP. I want it to have good damage in PVP and to be able to mix it up in PVE with different armor as a tank.

I personally like the Templar class in general better than the warden but i feel it is more suited to fufill my needs.

Imperials are my favorite race and I will be using that on either of the builds.

I am currently running a DK stam tank and ive gotten bored of it and i personally don't find it that good in PVP. I have a lot of experience as a tank, been playing it as my main role since 2014 so I am not afraid to play something that is not as good as a tank, just something that will be stronger in PVP.

Let me know your opinions or suggestions.

Various Issues, FPS, Lag, Bump Off, Log In

I keep getting bumped off the game and it takes several tries to get logged back in. And now my FPS is fluctuating between 20-45 when it's usually 60. This started after the patch but it's gotten much worst this afternoon. My latency is also higher, about half again normal. What's going on?

Honestly the gold cost for outfits is completely shameful. You had a dozen ways you could have monetized this system but you chose the one that screws over players the most? Absolutely shameful. Should have just monetized the outfit slots and the motifs instead of trying this "outfit change token" nonsense. Now you're just adding another burden to the players who have up to this point been most engaged in the content. You shouldn't need to go grind gold or pay real-life money every time you want to wear something blue or switch your shoulderpads. Players should be able to enjoy the game and monetization should facilitate that, not add artificial barriers. Get your heads out of your boot.

Rework please Durok's Bane set

Problem in this set it have cooldown 1 second only with a debuff 10 seconds duration.
As I understand, its general cooldown, so vs 4 enemies, it's like 4 seconds cooldown (actually not it work every second but on one of them).
So up to 10 enemies are permanently debuffed (It's Major Defile guys...) without any actions for this...No words. Same reason, why instant procsets were toxic at summer in battlegrounds - bIg no counter effect without efforts.

It broke fight system, I don't understand how @ZOS_Wrobel don't see that, here or should be cooldown per target, which will be at least with cooldown = duration of this 100% applied debuff or something else.
This set debuff is impossible even to purge, it will be applied at the next second u removed it.
Also, it breaks nightblades out of cloak from dots every second it procs now. Its definitely not as intended
And people use it with Fasalia's permanent Minor defile (in next patch it will ne new monster set instead to have less health and more damage).
+ put 70+ cp into Defile in cp system... = permanent no heal for everyone.
Its too strong. Fasalia at least provides minor debuff...

Absolutly broken, bad balanced set, not interesting to use or to fight with someone in it.
But it's now on every step.
No heal for everyone. + no resourses for everyone because of cost poison (+30% increase stam/mag cost) pandemia.
Perfect Tamriel.
Fix this set please.
Cooldown on 1 target = duration of debuff will be enouch.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom please, do attention to this set. Such things should be adjusted at the moment u see the problem, not year after...I said here nothing new. Problem still exist not solved.

anyone of stam DK here tried a DoT build based on Mechanical Acuity set? If so, is it viable?

Been away for a year, been leveling an Argonian NB healer for something fresh coming back to the game.

Yesterday I felt like trying my Tankplar again after a year (probably should have not done it on patch day with everyone queuing for the new dungeon). I looked at https://alcasthq.com/eso-templar-tank-build-pve/ and made adjustments, took a deep breath, and tried random dungeon finder for the daily. The results were disheartening.

The first boss did something for 55k damage and one shot me, the trolls in the trash packs absolutely wrecked me. It felt awful, shameful, I felt so useless.
I quickly took the net to find information and a lot of what I found were complaints within the past half year about: Bad sustain, javelin pointless, magplars/stamplars/tankplars suck, focused charge buggy/bad, no CC like DK talons, templars sacrificed for wardens, spear shards stun removed, solar flare empower useless, eclipse useless, cleansing ritual costs too much, restoring aura nerfed, etc.

I'm not up to snuff on the current meta as far as target HP/stam/magicka, physical/spell resistance, etc. My templar is a Redguard, 5p ebony/plague doctor, 2p engine guardian, 250+ CP (probably low by today's standards from what it was a year ago).

Is now just not a good time to be playing Templar?

I am looking at what sort of stuff that I have laying around, and am sorting a "build" for him.

I can swing a 5 BSW (with swords) and a 5 Scathing Mage, with Skoria 2 piece.

He is also a leveled Vampire.

What skills can I use to make him at least fun to play?

Update 17 saw a major revamp of how skill line indices are handled, and DressingRoom 0.8.0 has changed its handling of skills to accommodate these changes in the game.

Note 1: Version 0.8.0 will correctly migrate old DressingRoom data under two scenarios:
  1. Untouched pre-Update 17 data will correctly migrate to the new data format under 0.8.0
  2. Untouched pre-Update 17 data that had been migrated under 0.7.0 (which was live for only a couple of hours before being replaced by 0.8.0) will correctly migrate to the new data format under 0.8.0
If you had updated the game to Update 17 and then saved or changed your saved skill bars using a version of DressingRoom prior to 0.8.0, those altered skill bars may not migrate properly to the new format. You will have to manually re-do those skill bars. But for all skill bars that were saved prior to Update 17, they should migrate properly to the new format.

In short, users with pre-Update 17 data who just updated to DressingRoom 0.8.0, everything should "just work".

Note 2: Also note that if your character did not have all 5 of the guild skill lines (Mages, Fighters, Undaunted, Thieves, and Dark Brotherhood) unlocked prior to Update 17, some of the guild skill will be incorrect. Unfortunately, there is no reliable way to account for this scenario and transition the data, so those specific skills will need to be manually adjusted by the user.
