BOATS AND VESSELS

Many people, including me, go fishing with one purpose in particular: Obtain the Fishing Vessel.
It takes a lot of time and effort to obtain such furniture. I think we could encourage these players and a lot more to go fishing with the following FISHING VESSELS as achievement rewards for completing the vanilla zones:

Bar Setup:

Rotation:

I am out of Magicka, HELP!
You should not be running out of magicka, omg. If you are, use 2x heavy attacks instead of one, but that will reduce the dmg.
Jewelry x3 spell damage enchant. Replace one or two with magicka regen if you are having issues.

CP: 40 - Elfborn, 56 - Ele Expert, 43 - Spell Erosion, 26 - Master of Arms, 75 - Thaum

I found best results with Apprentice. Thief and mage are ok too. Try what works best for you.

Attributes: All in magicka.

* When just starting your parse don’t light attack before the first liquid lightning. Do LA before LL when you are already parsing and in rotation
** As you start your rotation use destro ult, and subsequently use Atronach. When in trials use Atronach for single target and use destro ult for large add pulls.
Um i didn’t mention this, but use spell power potion on cooldown.

Sword Could Use a Small Buff (Twin Blade and Blunt)

Currently swords are pretty far behind the other 3 weapon types for damage potential. This is mostly due to the way damage bonuses are calculated. Allow me to demonstrate with some common values.

Each sword increases damage by 2.5%, however for a typical (best case) build this is in addition to Minor Berserk 8%, Mighty CP 12%, Thaum/MAA CP 20%. This means that you are not going from 100% to 102.5%, it is actually 140% to 142.5%. This damage increase works out to 1.8% per sword maximum.

For a more extreme, but still reasonable, worst case, look at a stam warden with 3 animal skills (3x2%=6%), Minor Slayer 5%, and Major Slayer 15% from War Machine. Now the sword increases damage from 166% to 168.5%, which is only a 1.5% increase.

To compare to daggers I will use 2 cases at opposite extremes.

Best Case for Dagger: Low crit chance 42%, with high crit multiplier 2.15. This results in each dagger increasing DPS by 3.8%. This is more than double the best case increase from a sword.

Worst Case for Dagger: High crit chance 70%, with low crit multiplier 1.7. This results in each dagger increasing DPS by 2.4%.

Now for maces, these are definitely situational, but I will again consider best and worst case for PVE.

Best Case Mace: No resistance debuffs, on an enemy with 18200 armor (think stam sorc in VMA). Each mace provides 1820 penetration, which results in a DPS increase of 5.7%.

Worst Case Mace: Full raid buffs/debuffs (Maj/Min Fracture, Alkosh, Torug Crusher, Sunderflame, Night Mothers) Target has no resistances left, so maces add 0% DPS.

Axes: Dependent on many factors, but I think most would agree that one axe is as good or better than a dagger. Two axes have DoT refreshing issues, but that's a topic for another day.

To summarize:
Daggers add 2.4% to 3.8% DPS each or average about 3.2%
Axes are on par with daggers
Maces add 0% to 5.7% DPS each or average about 2.8%
Swords add 1.5% to 1.8% each, far below the 3 other options

I would recommend bringing the damage increase for each sword from 2.5% up to 4.5%. Looking at the first 2 examples again, this would be a maximum 3.2% DPS (140 up to 144.5%) and a minimum 2.7% DPS (166% up to 170.5%) per sword.

I would be fine with the passive tooltip giving 4% or 5% per sword (resulting in 2.4%-2.8% or 3%-3.6% DPS per sword respectively), as they would still be best for some builds and worst for others, I just found 4.5% to be the most balanced with other weapon types. Any of these options would take swords from being worst-in-slot to a viable option, without becoming OP.

TLDR: Dual swords are on average a ~3% DPS loss over other weapon types, and can be up to a 10% DPS loss on some builds. Increasing the Twin Blade and Blunt Passive from 2.5% per sword up to 4.5% per sword would make them balanced, but not OP.

Note: All these calculations are from. PVE perspective assuming max CP. For PVP, maces have the potential to be better due to high armor builds, daggers are slightly worse due to crit resistance and shields, axes are about the same (purgeable, but bleeds ignore armor), and swords stay about the same (although no slayer bonuses, so closer to best case scenario above).

Edit: I suspect a lot of this carries over to greatsword as well for the 2 handed passive, but I have not looked into this as much.

We are a friendly and fun Dungeon/Trial guild with over 470+ members that is currently recruiting returning and new players. We focus on Trials, dungeon running and pledge running, along with having a mix of other PVE content that we do. We run trials 4-5 nights a week (usually wed through sun). We help players who want to improve their builds and learn to play end game content. We have officers who are knowledgeable in many different classes and builds to help players improve their skills and ability. They are experienced trial/vet trial runners.

What our guild has to offer you should you choose to join our ranks:
  • We run dungeons daily and have pledge runners.
  • We run several trials a week in the evenings EST time. Right now we run them wed-sun night. We are in the process of forming a vet trial group. DPS required is 25k DPS. We have experienced vet trial runners that are part of that group and are our officers.
  • We hold DPS bootcamp to help people improve their DPS.
  • We have a balanced mix of vet and new players so things are balanced and the environment fosters encouragement for new players and opportunity for vets to share their knowledge and teach their skills if they choose.
  • We do pub-crawls, shard runs, and WB runs.
  • We have a friendly and active Discord. We use Discord for our trials as well as events.
  • We have a great guild of helpful members and officers.
  • We have helpful Master Crafters in the guild as well.
  • We are laid back and casual. No fees. No foolishness. Just a nice guild for people to meet players and have fun in the game with them.
  • We have a guild house that has a full crafting area, six test dummies, a Transmutation Station as well as a merchant, banker and a very bad ass car that was built by a guildie for our guild house!
  • We use discord for trials and communications as well as fun stuff. Members are fun and friendly.

I have 14 characters, of which only 1 of these characters has 9 traits in all 3 major crafting skills and around 90% of all styles learned. This character gets master writs regularly of 5/6/7 vouchers with the occasional one in the 40's. Today I did my daily clothing on a character with no traits researched and only clothing at level 50 and only blue racial styles learned and this character gets a master clothing writ for 74 vouchers... yes 74 vouchers.. Discuss!

Hey all. Please could someone point me towards the main thread for Master at Arms? Can't seem to find it.

I have tested the Master at Arms CP and have found some interesting things. By putting points into Master at Arms, this is how things change:

Blazing Spear: Tooltip damage increases. Actual damage does NOT.
Elemental Blockade: Tooltip damage increases. Actual damage does NOT.
Ritual of Retribution: Tooltip damage increases. Actual damage does NOT.

While testing, I also found some other very weird things happening. For example, putting CP into Thaumaturge appears to increase my light attack damage, even with a fire staff.

Also, as I have mentioned in a different post, with a fire staff for the single target damage buff:

Radiant Oppression: Tooltip damage does NOT increase. Actual damage DOES.

If screenshots would be useful for you, please let me know.

p.s. 'Actual damage' refers to the numbers I see when my attacks deal damage to a target.

Hello everyone I bring dire news. The power lash morph of flame lash is bugged and is providing double the healing. This was not in any patch notes and thus is a bug. Any dragonknights using this ability are considered to be exploiting and as such action should be taken against them. They can obviously see that the heal is broken and thus should stop using it immediately. Anyone who continues to use powerlash is breaking the code of conduct. I propose a wide ban of anyone using power lash in the last day. Permanent of course.
The ZeniMax Code of Conduct that you agreed to when starting the game states that you will not exploit any bug, or abuse any game system.


Outfit system suggestion - rare and hard to get appearances

Can we have some unique rare outfit gear that can only be unlocked by doing specific tasks inside the game, such as farming a specific area or getting some achievement. Also have the pieces unlocked one by one and not all the set with a motif?
I was thinking about a system similar to the one in World of Warcraft because the one we have in ESO now doesn't need much effort and gets exhausted really fast.

The White Gold Imperial Horse, aside from the typical leg issues, is actually a very well done and detailed mount. But whomever decided to put sparkles on it like this is some My Little Pony episode is not funny.

Werewolves

Hey there

Since the beginning of this game i am a huge critic about how zenimax handles vampires and werewolves. I know, a lot of you are fine and we have to aknowledge the fact, that some small, small, tiny things have been done.

There are some medicore valid builds out there, but you have to be a real fan to maintain this particular playstyle.

Over the years i saw a lot of new threads and suggestions about the werwolf playstyle:
- Toggle, because the ultimate cost is way to high
- Tank-options (Toggle, workable sets, etc).
- Unequallity of class passive benefits. (e.g Warden as beastmaster with no passiv benefit sucks).
- Devour cumulation (For example: Additiv feeding bonus up to 15 minutes/30 minutes (similar to vampire stages)
- Better Devour options, because fast enemy despawn
- Shrine of Hircine- Pocket version (Quickslot/Memento) (E.g allows an area to become "sacred" ground, so you dont loose your form. (--> Good to maintain form in longer fights, sieges, 1v1 pvp etc).
- Potion/Alchemy Drink (like vampire version), which allows some kind of buff for werewolves/werewolf form (A potion withoug cooldown, to complete a devour, or allow someone to transform into a werewolf regardless of ultimate.
- Glyphes, which gives some kind of bonus to werewolf/werewolf form
- Better sets, which give either a competitive bonus or at least a "flavour"-bonus. (The sets we have now, only benefit transformation itself, but not duration or viability.
- Make Hircine`s Bounty scale with weapondamage. Warden has stamina heal too, and it would allow us to play around with sets.
- Alter "Call of the Pack" pasive, so the bonus can get up to 99% or something else
- Wolves should be able to use some synergies (from other wolves)
- Werwolf/Beastmaster/Vampire- Class (equal to other classes, with skilltrees and passive bonuses.
- Map-Areas (forrests, remote locations, dungeons, moonphases ...) which allows wolves to stay longer/indefinetly in beastform
- Instead of "hide", which is impossible in werewolf form, there is some kind of "sit" animation, which allows the player to scratch his nose, grab a beer or do somthing afk, without loosing werewolf form.
- [Insert many ideas here], because this is only a short list from my memory.


I aknowledge the fact, that some of the ideas are out of dimension. It should not be the goal to allow a player to get trough the game with only 5 skills and 1 ultimate and then outperform another full-build player. Imho the compromise with a static memento/usable, for a "mobile shrine" of hircine would be something interesting.
Somehow ESO has transformed itself to a "flavour" game. The Main goal is exploration, farming and simply beeing online. The alteration of general progress, role-trinity, competitv gameplay and endgame-progress have become a volatile process with blurred lines and requirements.
Why not change/implement some small things, to please a certain fanbase? We have 150% XP potions, which basically are acessable only by rich or seasoned players. Why not manage werwolves the same way? Allow a dedicated fan to morph his caracter in some kind of beastmaster. If played ""corretely"" they should be able to be a viable part in hardmode content.

This is simply a reminder, and en expression of my hope, that one day, there is some kind of progress in this area. With all the new/old crownstore futures, housing and fashionweek, it surely seems the time for this.

Feel free to add some ideas/links to old posts. The list above is not finished at all.

We the playerbase only have very limited options to demand action according to our wishes and our status as cusomer. It`s not even a democratic or fiscal process. That is why we have to accept the outcome anyway. (Up to one final decision, that is).

Creating alts of different factions.

So for my next character Im thinking of making a magblade, either dark elf or argonian. I currently have 2 AD characters and 1 DC character.
My main faction is AD but I dont want to go through the same faction quest lines again, it just sounds very boring, and I prefer to follow lore, and Argonians and Dark elves are EP.
It would be more fun to quest through something I havent done before.
I currently dont have a pvp guild, but are there any multi faction guilds?
Im not trying to be a traitor, I just want to play through the ep quests with a new character. This would be my last character Im sure. I dont have the patience to fill 8 character slots, takes me months to level a single character to 50.

As I'm waiting for my EU client to download the stuff I decided to post here our findings form PTS. Again great thanks to all those kind testers who helped creating this list.
I bolded milestones rewards and significant rewards. According to testers if you choose one costume on a leveled character you can still chose another one if you level another character, the same with pets.
Crown crates rewards are once per account, so no, you can't level 5 characters in a row and get 5 crates everytime one hits level 20 :wink:
Also we don't know if the crates will change with crate seasons change.

Level 3: Crown Fortifying Meal

Level 47 50 Transmute Crystals. Choose one blue ring, one piece set, either Healthy, Arcane or Robust.
Level 48 Choose a pair of Purple Jewellery Glyphs from either 2 Stam Recovery, 2 Mag Recovery, 2 Phyisical Harm, or 2 Magical Harm Glyphs.
Level 49 One Crown Experience scroll.
Level 50: 10,000 gold and a Fire Atronach Crown Crate

I paid on 2/2 and ESO plus is gone wtf? I submitted a ticket in game but I haven't received a confirmation email yet. I also can't log into the support page as it wants an access code and it's not sending an email to me (I checked inbox and junk). What's going on?

Annoying invisible walls and houses with secret spots (pictures)

I like decorating houses, but cannot afford a large one, so I tried to experience some of the ones I liked on the PTS.

I made screenshots and a small guide to inform people who might be interested in getting these homes of their limitations or potential.
For me it is more challenging to take a small house and get the most out of it, than buy a huge one where you can build forever. So that's why I tried some small houses as well.

Cyrodilic Jungle House

One of the house concepts I liked is the small Cyrodilic Jungle House which has a nice courtyard, but a very small house.
Similar houses like this have an invisible roof (the Gardner House), but this house can be upgraded with a tiny floor, where you can place the bed or whatever you like:

Twin Arches could be a nice home, but it does not have an upper level like most Redguard houses in the game. Unfortunately there is an invisible wall that prevents the player to get on the roof make use of that space, which is sad.

Mournoth Keep

This is my current home on the live server. This is one of my favourites because it has so much space that you can use, even places that you think are not accessible
In this pictures you can see what I did to the rocky ledge in the background, and how I am standing on this rocky pillar which is also usable (I plan to place an altar there).

Domus Phrasticus

This house is one of the larger houses which are sadly to small to become a main base. The house has just two medium sized rooms, no basement, but we do have a rather large courtyard which has a fake tower with a wall. The area is very beautiful, so having the possibility to access the tower would be nice. If you are like me, then with a bit of creative use of planks and boulders, you will have a way to climb up the wall.
However, I think the devs did not think someone would climb that place, because they placed an invisible wall that crosses the rampart in half. So I made some scaffolding around the ramparts, but there is an other invisible wall, which this time is a bit logical, otherwise the player would fall into Falkreath Hold. The view is just great! So please dear devs, move the invisible wall to the edge of the rampart, so we can use it, and add a way to access it by a door!

Strident Springs

This is a large house that has two towers (one is usable), but also a lovely waterfall.
The inside is quite nice, with lots of rooms. It does not have a basement.
Unfortunately this house also has several invisible walls that limit the amount of fun you can have, even though this house is one of the expensive ones.

The big tower has again some forcefields, so you cannot jump on the rampart from the tower.

The invisible wall is even closer in this case. I do not know why the devs make it like this, because it could be a nice addition to the estate. They do not have to add anything.. just move the invisible walls a bit further.

Next I tried to see how much I can play in the waterfall area. Unfortunately, not much.
You can climb up to the waterfall, but the invisible walls are quite close, and the grassy area around is not reachable.

Last I tried to see if I could reach the other tower. You can go up there, but there is an invisible wall right where I put the red line, so no much point bothering with this as well. Oh well..

I haven't got the time to test all the houses yet (just what I would buy in the future), so please come with your personal experiences if you can, to make this thread useful for people interested in other houses or extending the space of their homes :)
