Lag PS4 NA is ridiculous and the game is in an unplayable state especially on weekends

NOT MY INTERNET! My group mates were experiencing the same thing and I have 70Mbps download and 25 upload. Fix the game ZOS. EP owned Alessia to Bleakers and Dclaw in the North and we were fighting at their gate keeps way out of the way where nobody was and this is the lag seen there. I can't imagine where the main conflicts are.

- Can't activate any skills after a CC break after a few seconds of running around like a moron.
- Can't land a single hit because enemies aren't where they appear to be
- Try to bar swap cancel an ability but it doesn't fire off so I have to bar swap again and hit the skill 2 more times
- Can't switch bars

Even though steps were taken to shift the heavy armor meta it really hasn’t worked all that well. In terms of stats in heavy vs medium, you’re really not giving up much in heavy just a little crit and some wpn damage but overall heavy is still better in general. It’s definitely closer now than it was a few patches ago, but medium could still use a slight boost to bring it up to speed. IMO there is a pretty easy solution and that is to alter the useless sneak reduction passive. Now before all you sneaky people fly off the handle, there is already a sneak cost reduction in the ledgerdmain and it would make far more sense to add in the reduced radius detection there as well and alter the passive as needed so all the thieves can go on with their lives. Now, some ideas for replacing the Improved Sneak passive in medium armor: dot reduction, aoe mitigation, increased phys pen, increased phy resists etc. I’m sure others can come up with more useful or creative ideas. Heavy and light both have five passives that are fully viable all the time. Sneaking is viable only in niche PvE settings and for NBs but as I’ve mentioned it makes more sense to have the legerdemain passive altered. Medium needs to step up and be the premier damage type armor for stamina builds.

Edit: and no heavy does not need a nerf in case you decide to read into my post too far.

TOPIC: Woes of unprepared players in vet dungeons.

ME: I'm a 660+ (don't know what I'll be when you read this) tank. I'm light hearted but serious about being the best tank I can. I am not a group snob. When I get a bad group I actually see that as a fun test of my tanking skills. Point being, this is not coming from some elite group snob mentality. My standards to group with me is very low.

MY MOMENT OF CRISIS: I'm starting a vet city of ash 2 group and before we ever make it to the badlands portal I stop and watch my TEAM have an epic 60-90 second struggle with one of those little grabby plants on the path. Literally. They just couldn't kill it for a seriously long time, this was after I had hit it with a torug boosted infused crusher enchant, on a piercing taunt strike. I finally sheathed my blade and just watched them fight it. I'm sitting there thinking how in seventeen hours when we make it to skoria that I'm going to get to watch them try this on the boss as he plunges us into lava. I stick around for a few more trash fights just to make sure the DPS in our group aren't just being silly, but no, its real. I leave as politely as I can. I wait my time for re-queu and get placed in same group. This time one of the DPS has left and a shiny new 690 is there. I figure what the heck maybe this dude will change it. I watch him spam nothing but flurry for the entire fight with the guardians of the gate into the badlands, and I still think with all my tank gear I could have out DPS'd my whole team. Around 15 minutes later when the guardians are finally dead I leave.

MY IDEA: Have a second group queue for veteran only where you have to get certified for your position. You'd have a normal dungeon wait list, a veteran one, and a undaunted certified veteran one. Once every two weeks or so, you have to do a fun little quest to be allowed into the certified list. You'd certify for any specific role with a given character. You could make it so fun to do even! You go to a nice little shiny arena where the undaunted folk test you to give you their approval. Tanks could have the task of keeping mobs out of a target circle where your only task is to taunt the mobs that try to go there and not die as they hit you. They'd have huge health so you have to take the beating rather than kill them. Simple matter of can you taunt and are you made of paper. Healer has to keep a couple NPC's alive as they stand in a damage circle. DPS literally have to hit a target dummy and do a certain damage amount in a time limit. I'm NOT talking about Maelstrom difficulty here, make it really easy. Make the DPS pull off a mere 8k dps or something. Make the tank show he can taunt and hold three mobs for all I care. But make sure they at least are remotely aware of their roll. And it would be FUN !! You could make a cool neat little story process of it where the undaunted do a simple skill check before throwing you to the wolves. Anybody could still play normal anytime, anybody could still do the veteran anytime. But we'd have a finder where we are dealing with certified mercenaries knowing we are getting people at least vaguely aware of their role. End rant.

So i have just tried to go through a door in Craglorn and was greeted by the ever so familiar long loading message, so after 5 mins i left the game to restart it and now cannot get past the loading screen question has the game finally snapped

World bosses in some zones seem to be ignored

It seems there are always groups waiting to stomp on world bosses in Clock Work city, but I never find groups in vvardenfall…ever. Is it because the 2 WBs in CwC have a daily mission and the ones in Vvard are more like Wrothgar?
Or is it everyone in Vvard is busy murdering for motifs?

Outfit System: Motif Observations & Requests

Since the addition of the Outfit System, I am a happier camper. I can actually wear gear that will improve my functionality, without looking like a schmuck. On that front, I am a huge fan.

Additionally, now that there is a UI for actually seeing all the motifs immediately and trying them on, I am struck by a few things that I really miss as far as options go. I wanted to list them here, in the hopes that a dev will see, and perhaps we will see something new added.

My first observation has been posted about and discussed repeatedly already, so I will simply add my voice and say that we need a Hide option for every slot, not just helm. It is super important, and I sincerely hope it gets added sooner rather than later, as we have seen they are already working on it.

Motifs:
There is a dearth of motifs that show any sort of skin. Especially on male characters, but globally as well. Someone posted a piece of art in a thread asking about druidic fashions, it was a character wearing a long coat, sleeveless, with no shirt underneath.

Something like this would be amazing, and would translate really well into light/medium/heavy. Light is shirtless under the coat, medium is a leather harness or straps, and heavy is a metal chest plate under the coat. Maybe armbands get added at medium/heavy.
It's not shirtless or naked, theres no weird tassets or front/back flaps, just a way to show a little skin without resorting to hanging bones and skulls off your chest and hips.
More motifs that allow male characters to show some skin would be a welcome addition, especially if they have some refinement to them.
Many of the existing sleeveless motifs alter the shape of the torso, eliminating any body shape we may have chosen during character creation. This defeats the purpose, and looks terrible. Exposed arms are great, but not at the expense of looking like your body is a big puffy pillow.
An additional comment to this would be more motifs that dont have any tassets or front/back flaps period. That, or give us the option to remove them at the outfit station.
In an ideal world, there would also just be an option to remove the sleeves on any current motif, that would be huge.

More single shoulder pauldrons would also be a nice addition, not oversized like the minotaur shoulders, but smaller, more refined, like the mercenary shoulders. Not everyone wants huge shoulder pieces, and i would imagine *nobody* wants floating shoulders of any kind. I know they float to maximize motif mix and matching, but personally, I would rather a small bit of clipping at the edges to having massive shoulder guards floating 2 inches above my characters arms.

Helm options are also pretty linear. Hoods, helmets, hats, all are very well represented in all 3 weights. What is missing and would be amazing to have is more collars and thrown back hoods.
I would love to see some furry collars and mantles, scarves and shawls, a voluminous hood thrown back, etc. This adds a lot of character to a look, and because its meant to be fluffy and thick, clipping is almost a non-issue. The folds of fabric dont need to float like the current mantles (Ancient Elf and Yokudan, I am looking at you!) they can just be folded, since as head items they dont need to fuss with lining up with hoods.

The last thing I want to mention is also something previously discussed, though I havent seen anything recently. The ability to preview locked dyes would be huge. I am certain it is possible, but it would make knowing what dyes are worth pursuing a much less frustrating prospect.

@ZOS_GinaBruno , @ZOS_JessicaFolsom , @ZOS_Wrobel just some ideas to expand on the fashion options available to players.
TL;DR
more choices for males to show skin but still look refined and classy (no bones, feathers or skulls please!)
option to remove tassets/flaps/sleeves on current motifs
fur collars, thrown back hoods, scarfs and mantles that dont float
more single shoulder pauldrons
preview locked dyes
hide any armor slot, not just helms

Does anyone have a date that this house is available? I have a feeling that it'll be the same as Linchal but not sure if a date has been already determined for the palace to come to Xbox. Is this coming WITH the DLC or as a Crown Store item some point in the month?

This ever evolving subscription will likely be enhanced even further has time goes on to reward existing subscribers and encourage new ones. Main Thread for Long Loading Screens

Hello everyone,

We’re creating this thread so there’s a central place to have discussions and provide updates on the long loading screens that many of you have been experiencing. We know this issue is extremely frustrating, and for some, is preventing you from playing all together. We’re doing everything we can to get this fixed as quickly as possible, and have made it a top priority for our engineers. Our QA team has been testing various scenarios so we can collect as much data as possible, including hopping in and out of PvE zones, dungeons, Trials, Cyrodiil, and Battlegrounds, all with varying amounts of players (we’re utilizing bots for situations requiring higher numbers). We’ve also been able to pin down a solid reproducible case for us to investigate that our own Game Director Matt Firor was encountering.

As of now, our only update is that our engineers and programmers are still working to pin point exactly what’s causing this. Until we know, we won’t be able to put in a fix. As for what you can do to help…
  • Let us know which system and megaserver you’re on if you’re currently having this issue.
    • If you’re on PS4, please specify if you’re on a regular PS4 or PS4 Pro.
    • If on Xbox, please specify if you’re using an Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Xbox One X.
    • If you’re a PC player, let us know what sort of processor you’re running.
  • Is there any specific area or zone you consistently see a long loading screen?
  • What are you doing when you experience a long loading screen?
    • I.e.: Using a wayshrine, resurrecting, looting, etc.
  • Are you utilizing any sort of SSD?
  • If you play on Xbox, is the game installed on the internal hard drive or an external hard drive?
  • If you’re on PS4, are you using the first party hard drive or a replacement?

I've seen Europeans play on the NA server and Americans play in the European servers, am curious as to why people do this.

So I ask, what server to you play on and why do you do so(provided you play on the opposite server to your region, but then any reason for anything would do just fine).

Myself I play on NA because thats where my friends seem to be mostly at, am from the UK.

Hide Shoulders

The Outfit system needs a Hide shoulders aspect or else I will not be buying the Tsaesci Motif if it is for sale. It looks really nice but the light armor chest looks like they already have shoulder which makes all the shoulder pads look terrible with it

Tanking axes in VAA

So when Tanking the axes, solo tanking in VAA, I can keep the axes taunted, maim/breach/fracture and do damage on the boss, increasing the overall DPS on the boss, with no damage done to the team, as long as the axes are taunted they wont harm the team at all.
Did it yesterday in a pug group, they were saying OP tanking, never seen any tank do that before. I did it today in a pug group, they were screaming at me to get away, which I then got hit by a mine and lost 1 of the axes because of backing off into an aoe, which I wouldn't have if I had stayed where I was doing my thing. We got speed run on that run too.
They said I lost the axes because I am "supposed" to take the axes away on a little platform doing nothing but hindering a healer to keep me in resources (which I don't need).
The mines and aoe does not spawn in the middle of the boss, I can sit their all cosy with all the axes laying debuffs and dps on the boss.

Other than the ranged dps having a harder time to single target attack the boss if they dont lock on target the boss, there is no downside to tanking the axes in the middle with the boss, only a plus in debuffs and damage on the boss.


Thoughts on this guys.

I have been playing on and off, since the 3 day early launch (I don't count the stress test since that's was just testing the server capacity), I have never done a Trial and I have never joined a guild... I am so broke, most gold I have ever seen was 150k total for a very short while.
