Being disconnected within 5 mins after login since last patch

Been playing for years. Since the patch I login, spend up to 5mins going things and then everything stops responding but I an still move around and then back to the login screen.

I have reloaded in about 10 times but same happens.

I have repaired the install but same happens.

Any ideas?

Hey all! While the title gives it away a bit that a rant is incoming, I want to preface things by saying I love this game. I have an ungodly number of hours in ESO, and honestly, I have no plans to stop anytime soon. There are however some things that I think could go a long way to helping with the new dungeons. If you only read this, just know that I do not want the game easier, what I want is a challenge that encourages mediocre players to get better and urges the best to refine and perfect. So, without further ado, have some feedback and ideas for how to help to fix.

Fang Lair:
Vivivivivivifiers – I love them. Good job. Nice mechanic and novel way to force us to prioritize.
The Menagerie Boss – The dogs. They seem to be a little inconsistent with their attempts to murder your face in a blaze of gory glory. I think it is because the only blow up on their ‘target’ so you can get a false sense of hope when the wrong dog touches you. Maybe some sort of targeting indicator when a doggo thinks you have the treats and aren’t sharing?
Final Boss (HM) – The ghosts for the burn phase. Please. If it is going to be a one-shot there should not be any guess work. Put an enemy ground AoE indicator on them. Simple fix, but a huge one.

Scalecaller Peak:
Plague Rats – Such a good idea. Honestly? Make the effect they leave hurt more at least in vet. Maybe stacking damage so the longer you stand in it the deader you are? Anything really, except a one-shot. Gives the healer something to do and makes a really neat mechanic not be something we just ignore (because we all ignore it right now).
Lemonades – I hate these mobs. Good job. Leave them as they are. Still hate them.
Final Boss (HM) – Where to start…. List within a list time!
  • The poison pie slices are nice. Roll dodge gets you killed in them though because it moves you when the animation ends. The amount of deaths I have video of where on my screen I am not in the pie slice is a little maddening. And not even all of those were due to roll dodging. I think it is just a latency issue, but every run we have people dying in there to a one-shot that on their screen they are not in. Maybe make the borders more forgiving?
  • The stupid effing shield mechanic. On normal you stand in it. On HM for some reason it is now a synergy. A synergy mind you that appears to act like synergies used to, so activating it is a pain because of other animations. Oh, and sometimes the person who is stoned will be there in the shield and the game has you un-stone rather than shield. Just make it so the synergy for the shield is instant and overrides animations and then make it so that if you are in range for that synergy it will show above all others.
  • Zaan’s timings are…whew. The game likes to Zaan someone and then during the animation for them dropping out of it there will be a poison pie slice and now you have a dead teammate. Please just make sure that everyone has full control of their character before one-shotting them. (Obviously this doesn’t apply to if we stand in stupid and use our geyser/ice/stone when we aren’t supposed to, but at least those at least make you immune.)
  • The amount of one-shots vs standard damage. You are aware that groups are running 3 DPS and a tank for this because a healer is not useful. That is not okay. Please tell me (I am a healer main) that this wasn’t the intent. Maybe make some stuff leave you with a small fraction so it can be saved? Anything. Please

Both Dungeons:
The HM mechanics are nothing like the standard vet mechanics. Most of the ‘HM’ changes fully depend on one-shots and RNGeesus being satisfied with you. I love to teach people. I hate that the change in here from normal vet to HM isn’t something I can prepare people for at all. We just tell people flat out that the difference is laughable. I understand wanting to make people must be aware of positioning and the like, but this many one-shots is just….it is bad. Any time you have designed something where one of the holy trinity is not needed and is honestly a hindrance is a bad design in an MMO. There is a difference between us /choosing/ to run 3 DPS because we want a speed run and can sustain and the game suggesting we do it because the healer would be useless.

Obviously this list is likely not complete, but I think it is a start and I think the changes I want will help to keep the difficulty high but induce less gamer rage. Thanks for the time reading this.

Guild & Brotherhood event observations

Writing this post as observation on the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood event currently in place. Post not intended as negative but does show some negativity.

This event is, on the whole, a positive for me. I have been using it for materials gathering and to level up a character.

Positives;
  • Increased material drops from nodes - great for picking up mats at various character levels
  • Easier to kill overland and delve bosses due to more players in for kill - great to an extent
  • Double loot - fantastic when you get it
  • Incentive to level character in area - see previous positive points

I'm sure other positive points could be added.

Negative;
  • Node racing / fighting - too many characters not enough nodes or node respawn on (seemingly) long timer raises problems
  • Can be annoying having to wait to kill overland or delve boss for achievement - bosses insta killed by mobs of players
  • NO LOOT from bosses - chat is full of complaints from players not getting loot from kills with a rumour that only the 12 most damaging players get loot (experienced this 'no loot' several times)
  • Area marked for 'stay away' - not unexpected but there is a glut of players in the area and this can be off putting due to previous negative points

I'm sure other negative points can be raised.

For me, the event is very good and has been enjoyable (mostly). The main negative for me has been the lack of any loot from 'bosses' after clearly causing damage - this has happened on various level characters. There is a lot of 'talk' in 'chat' about the no loot issue.

Nice event overall but it is clear from 'chat' that some players are disappointed.

EDIT: For clarity; I have mostly been in the 'Hew's Bane' area during event and have, on the whole, enjoyed time there.

Radiant Apex Mounts

Just a friendly reminder ZOS:

We know you want us to buy Crates, even though we already have thousands of Gems. So i get why they are unobtainable with Gems.
Still, we would like to be able to buy them with Gems, so at least give us the opportunity to buy those Mounts for a huge load of them.
2000 Gems? 3000 Gems? 4000 Gems?
All of those are better than not being able to buy them at all.
Spending thousands of Dollars for a CHANCE to get them is not really a sensible option.

Overload - change one morph?

I have an idea, don't know is it bad or good, it just came to my mind. What if one morph of Overload would change into "buff" that adds some, lets say 4k damage (just an example value, this would be divided as all damage by a half in PvP) shock or physical damage to every direct attack you make based on higher stat. Each tick of this buff would use same ammount of ultimate points as light attack does now. No third bar, and you can swap weapons.

Why this change? Both morphs of overload are useless now in pvp (beside of ganking and maybe zerg surfing), lets make one morph more useful while still keeping it uniqe ultimate.

Thoughts?

Salutations to my fellow denizens of Tamriel! <3

I've been getting back into the game and I'm really loving a lot of the new stuff to do an explore! That being said, I'd love to join a group of friendly folks to share it all with. I've joined a few of the self labeled 'social' guilds via zone chat and found them to be rather unhelpful and cliquish sadly. :( So I thought it wouldn't hurt to post a little ad here to say what I'm looking for in the hopes that a group of folks that I would be a good fit with will spot me and welcome me to their ranks.

What I'm looking for:
  • A positive place to grow with mature banter, good sense of humor, and a staunch lifestyle tolerance as well as 'no religion or politics' in gchat policy.
  • 21+ age limit. I'm an old fart who likes to yell 'Get off my lawn!'
  • Occasional assistance in completing dungeons.
That's it! I'm easy to please. <3

Bonuses(not necessary but always nice):
  • Discord - Because I like to keep in touch even while I'm goofing around offline or playing other games.
  • Roleplay - Pretty self explanatory. I love to immerse myself in the game and roleplay is an excellent way to do just that.
  • Events - I like to do fun random stuff with guildies even if there aren't prizes.
  • Trading - Always a bonus! I love wheeling and dealing or shopping.
  • Memes - Who doesn't love pictures of Nicolas Cage's head photoshopped onto animal bodies?
  • Adult Lifestyle - I realize there probably aren't any guilds like this in ESO but I thought it wouldn't hurt to toss this out there as a bonus.
A little more about me:

I'm a 35 year old librarian with a pair of khao manee cats who lives in California. I'm kind of a shy/awkward person at first but I'm very friendly. I have a bit of an off-color sense of humor and may or may not have an unhealthy addiction to memes. I enjoy questing, exploration, crafting, and chasing achievements the most. I might dabble in PVP someday but for the most part I'm way too panicky and silly. I'd like to get my feet wet with dungeons and maybe even trials someday but I still have a lot to learn about grouping in game since I've been doing pretty much everything outside of world bosses solo. I'm a quick learner and I love to challenge myself to be the best that I can be. I just need a bit of guidance. :)

I keep getting people telling me that the this passive bonus for swords doesnt increase damage by 5% on mag skills? Is this true ? I dont want to spend the gold to reset skills to check so hoping you guys could clear this up.

What Add-Ons should just be in the game?

Rewards for the Worthy Transmutation Geode Reset

When does the "once per day per account" limitation reset for getting the transmutation geode from Rewards for the Worth mails? Is it at a fixed time like pledges, or a certain amount of time since the last one like the random normal rewards?

If you could direct the resources at Zenimax, would you....

If you want to progress the game you need to raise item level...

... and give us an option to increase max item level via crafting etc.

I don't want to farm it all again. But without any gear progression Chapters feel pretty... stagnant.

That's why Zenimax should raise itemlevel by 30 or so with every Chapter. Tedious item grind should be no thing but there should drop ressources with which you can update your "old" gear.

DK Leap Onto Keep Walls Back?

Is this back? I rolled a new stamplar and was messing around on Kyne, and saw an enemy DK on top of the inner wall taking out counter-siegers with the inner walls and front door still intact. Supposedly ZOS said this was an exploit and “fixed” it a few updates ago. Did they break their “fix”?

Hey everyone. Looking to get a magblade up and running for end game trials. Not sure as to what skills to go with with my bars. Is the Alcast way the way to go or is their other builds more viable? Also can somebody share their rotation please?

I've been seeing stories in books that look like they are setting up for a change and lets face it Cyrodiil has been the campaign since launch and is getting a bit long in the tooth, so I'm asking this question.

Do you think the next PVP campaign will be a future chapter, DLC, or ESO II?

I'm not making this a poll as I would like to also hear other ideas of what you think it could be or be centered around. Heck its been a long time since I stayed on these forums, have they announced something that I missed? If so, What?

Crashing

Hello,

Currently on of the healers in our trial group keeps getting kicked back to the loggin in screen during trial fights. She's not get any crash reports just pop loggin screen.
Even will all addons offline it still happens but her internet is fine and it only happens in ESO.

Can anyone help us here? We're running out of options to try.

Moar Stamina Morphs for the Dragonknight

Stamina Dragonknight is already quite a nice class, either for dps or Tanking. But it's class skills are woefully biased toward Magicka, which forces StamDKs to rely on their Weapon skill trees. All we get is Noxious Breath, Venom Claw, and kind of Flames of Oblivion, if you choose to slot that.

When I look at the skills a DK has, it makes me think of the Sorcerer and it's playstyle. Tons of AoE potential. Inhale and Ash Cloud are two skills I'd LOVE to be able to make use of as a Stamina Build, Inhale especially since all self Healing is pretty much spamming Vigor.

Rookie Crafting Question

Hi there, I am playing with a stamina-based Dark Elf, using a combo of medium and heavy armor. I gathered enough parts to be able to maximize the passives for the shalk exoskeleton (heavy) and shadow of the Red Mountain (medium) armor sets, but these sets, and the former especially, are hideous aesthetically. So, is there a way to alter the appearance of these sets or to create my own armor but somehow have my newly created armor have these sets' passive benefit properties? Thanks!
