Curious how off balance works in pvp. What does it do to a player? Can they break free .... and does it reset the CC timer? Just curious if anyone uses it in pvp. It's a lot of points.

Evasion skill in PVP
I played PVP last night for the first time in a while and I don't understand the mechanics of the Evasion skill. It seemed like when people were using this they were dodging around like 75% of my attacks, but the skill line says it only increases their chances of dodging by 15%. How are they able to dodge such a high percentage of attacks?
P.S. I'm not including the times they roll-dodged.

Fix Ghost Traders
Ghost trader is a person/ small group of people who form a 50 person guild, large enough to bid on a trader. Then the (ghost guild) buys a highly desired trader, for instance one in a capital city or something in the top 5 cities. This is used for either:
A ) A fallback if their main guild loses their bid in the place they really wanted or,
B ) Turning a large profit and extorting smaller guilds into purchasing overpriced traders. (Purchasing a trader for far above what it would be normally go for, then selling for probably double)
This is highly toxic on the PS4 and im sure its affecting other platforms. And has become a Racket, and im sure not how the developers intended the trader situation on design.
It would be an easy fix, after trader change sunday, if for any reason that trader is no longer associated with a guild - trader despawns/becomes un-aquirable until few days(friday or saturday it respawns) before so GM's can place bids again.

VIPER ISN'T DEAD!!!
@Jake17 (AKA: Zed is Ded) was a great help in putting this together! He actually did the math and put it together in working order. He has tested it and can vouch for it's success and kill potential. He put it together on live server and was running it very successfully! As the GM of Red Lotus he has been very enabling in many of the member's endeavors.
This is a build I've had in the back of my head since right before HoTR. I don't normally play stamina but my friends in <Red Lotus> do (Jake mainly) and they helped give me inspiration for this! Now that some DKs are running around with this on, I figured it'd be a good idea to put this out there!
I avoided making content about it for awhile because it was sort of a "secret combo." Really just something I don't want everyone to start running

Lets Talk About Transmutation Stones
So far the amount of transmutation stones that you can get from all sources, that I'm aware of, are as follows:
First Random Dungeon of the Day: Green Geode (1)
Normal Pledge: Green Geode (1)
Vet non-HM Pledge: Blue Geode (1-3)
Vet HM Pledge: Purple Geode (1-10)
nMA: ?
vMA: 4
Weekly vMA: Blue Geode (5)
Normal Trial: ?
Veteran Trial: Gold Geode (1-25)
Weekly vTrial: ?
First "Rewords of the Worthy" of the day: Gold Geode (1-25)
7 Campaign End Reward: ?
30 Campaign End Reward: Gold Geode (50)
All of these are per-character.
As you can see the rewards are heavily weighted towards the PvP content. This isn't a bad thing, it's definitely a good way to attract more people to PVP, in particular BGs. However, the gap between the rewards you get for PvP and PvE are massive even before you consider the large difference in time and effort committed. An hour+ long haul through a HM veteran DLC dungeon gives 1-10 stones, seemingly weighted more towards the lower end whereas leeching off of a zerg for 20 minutes or completing 3 BGs gives you a Gold Geode. My suggestion is simple, slightly increase the rewards given from PvE content, particularly dungeons, while still leaving PvP rewards the way they are to better reward players given the time they spend. Specifically I believe that the "Random Veteran Dungeon" option should give a blue geode upon every completion, or at the very least a green geode. This would importantly incentivize players to use the Random Vet option which is often neglected due to lack of rewards, additionally it would increase the total population of people running "all" dungeons and should help alleviate some issues people have with queue times. Similarly, it might increase the amount of healers/tanks available in queue; in my personal experience I have a tank Alt, geared well enough for vet dungeons but not for trials, whom I hardly play simply because I no longer need to farm dungeons. This change would greatly incentivize me to hop on that tank alt and run a few random vets each day when I need transmutation stones.
The second change I would make is towards DLC dungeons, where effort clearly does not meet reward. At the very least, veteran pledge completions of the DLC dungeons should give purple geodes and HM completions should give gold geodes. A simple survery showing the number of players who even have the HM completion achievements for the DLC dungeons would show why this is necessary. It might also be worth considering to make every completion of a veteran DLC dungeon (or any dungeon deemed "harder" than usual) gives 1 stone outright; this would fix the "potential" problem of people abusing the "random" change I suggested by not owning any of the DLC and always getting easier dungeons. Simply reward more for more difficult content.
I've always enjoyed doing dungeons in MMOs, even if I've done them hundreds of times before, however the staunch lack of rewards has put me off from attempting them further, and lending my help to less experienced players trying to finish them. I thought that the transmutation system would give me a reason to go back to them but I'm finding that I can just spend half the time for double the rewards and get "Worthy" rewards on all of my characters.

Weapon Swap Bug (animation)
Anyone else having an issue when you weapon swap to a different bar it will cosmetically keep the other bars weapon? For instance, I use 2H and Dual Wield and when I switch from my 2H bar to my dual wield bar my characters right hand will be holding the 2H sword and the left hand looks like he's holding something but you don't see anything. Then, sometimes when the dual wield swords are displayed correctly and I change back to my 2H bar it shows my character in the 2H stance like he's trying to hold a single 2H weapon but cosmetically he's holding two dual wield weapons together.
I really only PvP, so I do not know if this is just a Cyrodiil issue or not. Also, I'm on PC NA.

Would you like to see smaller team-sized trials? If so what team size?
Currently we only have 12-man, 4-man and solo trials. It would be nice to have some trials which require 6 to 8 people rather than having to spend a large amount of time trying to find 11 other players, but also having the same team work vibe and diversity of the 12-man trials. What do you think?

Question about your toons...
So I am just curious about how other people play, so here's my question.
With your multiple toons, in a hypothetical world, using only your toons, could you run a normal dungeon? A vet dungeon? Trials?
Do you have the correct roles and are they good enough that you wouldn't be afraid of running with yourself (almost asked 'playing with yourself'). Are your toons still babies or are they grown up enough?
For myself I have no fear of normal dungeons
(some I have solo'ed). My healer is almost lvl 50 then I would say I would do vet dungeons, but no way could I even do a normal trial (even nAS). I don't have enough toons yet.
So what about you?
With your multiple toons, in a hypothetical world, using only your toons, could you run a normal dungeon? A vet dungeon? Trials?

simple lives...
so, I have a perspective on the "RP community", and it's much like the perspective I had in college of the "fiction writing" community. I have lots of perspectives, but this is one that seems to rear it's ugly head most frequently - namely, that of the MANDATORY SUPER-MELODRAMATIC BACKGROUND STORY.
You all know the type...my parents were murdered by bandits - I was sold into slavery - I was cast into oblivion and tortured by horrible spirits - a magical experiment gone awry has melded my soul with some otherworldly being...
etc...etc...etc...
now, don't get me wrong - I'm EXACTLY as guilty of this particular conceit as many others, at least with my current character storyline (sacrificed by Mannimarco, just like the opening story sequence, soul-shattered and soul-cross-shattered so I can explain my connection to my alts as well as the existence of skyshards in the world)
so, no judgements - just honest curiosity
my point is - why can't we sometimes just have characters with ordinary, simple lives. While I haven't done it HERE, I was quite proud of my WOW paladin backstory. He was born into a farming family. His mother was quite normal farm mother, his father quite normal farm father. None of them were dead. None of them were cursed. None of them were secretly hiding from a noble lineage that was massacred by their usurping brother...or whatever. He was just a guy who was BAD at farming, but turned out to be a halfway decent librarian, suddenly called upon for reasons unknown to be an avenger of the holy power of LIGHT.
roughly the same with my LOTRO captain. I had a modestly impressive father (competent craftsman, mostly created to explain why I - his son - was such an ABYSMALLY bad craftsman), a solid, reliable mother - a slightly slutty sister, but that was mostly for spicy flavor and for having a sibling that wasn't entirely as white-bread as my main
my point being, I created these relatively mundane character histories to give a sense of realism to my character, because I find SPECTACULARLY MELODRAMATIC fantasy character background to be...well...oppressive. They're not bad - not inherently, but there just seem to be SO MANY of them, that I would try to create these relatively mundane character backgrounds as sort of a push-back
anyway - the point of all this - besides the fact that it's late, I'm tired, I'm a bit drunk, and I like the sound of my clickety-clackety-keyboard, the point of this is that I'm wondering if we can't all embrace...slightly less melodramatic character background stories, from time to time - that we could even encourage our background stories to be just a little bit more mundane, and by that virtue, perhaps just slightly more...authentic.
I firmly believe that heroes come from ordinary settings AT LEAST AS OFTEN as they come from melodramatic settings - in fact, I believe that it's IMPORTANT to believe that "heroes" can come from...ordinary circumstances. That forcing "heroes" to come from super-twisted-horrifying-melodramatic origins puts the idea of heroism outside of the reach of most mortal mer, and that we can all benefit from more examples of relatively accessible "heroism" in our everyday lives
it's late - I'm tired...but I'm curious to see what people think - if they think anything at all

ESO Anonymous (ESOA) -- You're not alone.
You can put down the controller. You can go outside. You can get perspective. I am counting 1 day without ESO (ha ha).
01. I didn't succumb to the login mechanic of mount training (requiring 180 days; 6 months; not account wide). Eventhough, I have one mount nearly maxed with 60 speed, 60 bag space, and about 50 stamina.
02. I didn't spend hours farming a dolmen for a set of purple jewelry.
03. I didn't spend hours farming raw materials in hopes refining would net me epic and legendary mats.
04. I didn't spend hours rummaging through containers searching for elusive motifs.
05. I didn't engage in various daily activities in hopes I would be granted a motif page or complete motif book.
06. I didn't spend hours in activity finder hoping I might be grouped with other players to engage in an otherwise 20 - 30 minute adventure.
07. I didn't spend endless hours in Cyrodiil galloping across the terrain from one keep to the next in a game of musical capture.
08. I didn't spend endless hours killing the same grouped mobs in Imperial City to gain enough fragments to combine into a key for chests secured in trophy rooms.
09. I didn't spend 30 minutes or more logging in and out of characters to complete writs.
10. I wasn't a good little hobbit and picked every mushroom encountered.
11. I didn't spend hours in a public dungeon running the same lap over and over.
I spent the day free of ESO. I count 1 Day.
(humor intended)

If you want to progress the game you need to raise item level...
... and give us an option to increase max item level via crafting etc.
I don't want to farm it all again. But without any gear progression Chapters feel pretty... stagnant.
That's why Zenimax should raise itemlevel by 30 or so with every Chapter. Tedious item grind should be no thing but there should drop ressources with which you can update your "old" gear.

Buff Overload heavy attack, but how?
Need I say more?

Won’t somebody think of the pingerz!?
With the flame staff back in fashion, I thought it’d be a good time to raise this again: the flame staff is bloody terrible for peeps with high ping. It’s so jerky, weaving is like doing the robot.
The lightning staff on the other hand is totally (pretty much) fine.
I know there are bigger bugs but this is one that was introduced to the game last year and has never been fixed or even mentioned by zos as far as I’m aware.
I have vids, lodged bug reports, etc...

What playable race would you like to see added to ESO?
For the most part, we have used the same 10 playable races in almost every TES game, but ESO is the perfect game in the franchise to finally add a new one. If we ever did get a new race, what would you like to play as?
For me, I think a Minotaur race would be awesome! Or perhaps the snake people from Akavari that look like Lamias.
(Let's keep it lore friendly as much as possible)

We could really use a few gestures of good will Zeni.
You keep telling us you want to increase the housing caps and have told us the current caps are because of performance issues. You never do explain how a small bank can hold 50 people all at once but a house can only hold, at MOST, twenty-four. We’d realllly like an explanation for this. But okay, we have no choice but to accept that this is true and the cap really IS twenty-four for a good reason. And you’re working on it.
HOWEVER, when you were first showing us housing you had more than 3 categories. The “largest” homes were called Estates and the houses just below them were called Notable homes. These homes were:
Stay-Moist Mansion
Old Mistveil Manor
Strident Springs Demesne
The Gorinir Estate
Mathiisen Manor
Forsaken Stronghold
Gardner House
Quondam Indorilia
Hunding's Palatial Hall
Dawnshadow
To this list I would also add the Amaya Lake Lodge.
These are BIG houses. Size-wise they are very nearly as big as the current Notable homes (formerly classed as Estates). It is absolutely silly that you can only fit TWELVE people into them when they are CLEARLY designed to hold far more.
You’ve acknowledged that the 24 player cap is too low and you are seeking to raise it. But you’ve given us absolutely no ETA on when that might happen...or even if it ever will. You charge top dollar for housing and we pay it… mostly gladly.
So this is what I’d like to see as a gesture of good will towards your players: Raise the cap on all of the above listed houses to 24. There’s no reason why they can’t accommodate that many players. This does NOT cheapen the value of the current far more expensive 24 player homes. It is an acknowledged stop-gap measure to make your players happy while you work on raising the caps overall. And honestly? You’ll make a pretty penny on it if you do it. Then when you CAN raise the caps overall, you can go back to having the current 24 player homes still having the highest player caps, whatever that number ends up being.
Of the remaining 12 player homes, please raise them to 18...which is not a huge increase at all. This adds value to all of these homes at no cost to you and will actually generate some quick profit. Leaving the item count higher in the current Notable homes will still give them an edge over these.
Players are really disappointed with the current state of housing, even those of us who keep buying them because they are beautiful and fun to decorate. Please show us you actually care by giving us something that you can do with very little effort to show that you are in earnest about improving this situation. It would go a long way. Please consider it.
Item the second… please roll out a pack that unlocks ALL the existing haircolors in the game like you did with the base game hairstyles and makeup/scars, etc. Put a reasonable modest price tag on it if you must like you did with those other two things. And leave it up permanently as an option in the store if you go that route. It’s just silly to have things like hair colors be race locked. Ditto eyecolors. Heck, do it with skin colors as well and acknowledge the TES lore that states that while a child will appear to be the race of its mother regardless of the race of its father that it MAY show SOME traits from the father as well.
Item the third… please acknowledge the TES lore AND the lore of your own game that clearly shows that some vampires ARE capable of hiding their condition and looking like normal mortals and make such a skin available for vampires. Add a Stage. Require a new passive unlock. Or, yes, even put it in the store. It is WELL past time for this.
Item the fourth… PLEASE give us a day/night toggle for housing, a way to lock our lights so no one but those with decorator privs can turn them on or off, and EXPAND the permissions we can set so that we can designate more than one house as our primary. Add a “public” choice so that we can open more houses to more players...which will in turn fuel player house sales.
ALL of these are EASY things to implement, rely on things already in the game for the vast majority of them, and will even generate more revenue for you. But most importantly they would show that you are listening to your players and that you genuinely WANT us to be happy with your product and are willing to take action to make it so.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

new sorc bomber build?
So apparently the new zaan monster set can actually proc on multiple targets at once using a heavy attack with overload active. Simultaneous crits on different targets with overload cause zaan's fire beam to start up on as many enemies as were crit by the same tick of your overload heavy.
So that has me thinking: magicka sorc with zaan, vicious death, and necropotence. Activate proxy det, overload, streak into the enemy zerg and heavy attack to proc zaan on as many targets as possible, then sit there spamming hardened ward so you can stay in fire beam range until people start exploding.
Would require dual wield or a shield to get the set bonuses all down but otherwise it sounds like a pretty effective zerg killer. Can also throw in liquid lightning and a volcanic rune from range before streaking in for good measure.
Thoughts?
