Raidiant Mount Glitch

$

Hi y’all! Don’t hop on these forums often, but I felt the need to ask if anyone else has had the issue I had.

Last night I bought...let’s just say too many crates, around 90 to be exact ;). Yes, way way too much. But in crate #86 or #87 I received the Shadow Rider Senche. You have no idea how happy I was! However, when I went to check out the beauty it was not listed under the mounts, but the Storm Steed was...needless to say I was shocked. Not Saying that mount was and is cool, but it isn’t what I opened and isn’t really my style of mount.

Now I looked at the chart that was posted and saw a small but much higher chance at the Storm Steed than the other 2 and was wondering if anyone else ran into this issue during this season of crates? I usually don’t have a problem with the crates but this was very strange. I sent a ticket in to hopefully get it switched back to the Senche like I opened, at least I can have that hope.

Anybody else run into these issues this time around?

Trying to make a heavy armour-wearing stamblade that only uses 2h :)

I wanted to try and make something a little bit different. A heavy armour wearing 2h/2h stamblade. I have no idea of the role they will play, I just wanted to make something that isn't a glass cannon for a change. I thought I'd use shackle breaker AND impregnable armour and then look at trying to do enough damage to kill while being withstanding attacks. That is the absolurte most basic premise. I don't care if it works. it does NOT have to be hard hitting or super tanky. I just want it to be FUN to play and to be different :) I a;lso want to use skills that I haven't really used before -so thta means Unstoppable, Forward Momentum, Veil of Blades - these have been a lot of fun to use so far.

But where do i go from here? I'm not going back to the drawing board even if I know just about everyone will tell me too! I'd like to improve my damage and also my HP. But I'm also tempted to use Reunforced on some armour peices. Also, I'm aiming for the build to be used either solo or in co-ordinated small scale groups

If anyone would be will to make some suggestions, I'm all ears.

I have a few questions about gold mats and crafting writs.
I know it is possible to get kuta as a reward from lowwer than rank 10 enchanting. Can other gold mats drop from crafting writ rewards if a character does mot have rant 10 in equitment skills?
My other question, can perfect roe be obtained from provisioning daily writs?

I guessed the date of 3/16 teaser trailer correctly and I am guessing 3/21 will be summerset trailer. Why? Tes games like visually satisfying dates... eso was released 4/4 and eso morrowind was released 6/6 and skyrim 11/11, so here are the most possible dates summerset trailer will be teased

3/21
3/23

Lastly 4/4

But most likely 3/21

Ofc rich was seen putting pants on so that can mean the date will be here faster on 3/20

Guild Poll - Raising the limit on Guild member slots

$

The current limit is 500 members and this Poll asks you whether you think the limit should be raised.

Possible Pros
  1. Trading Guilds enjoy more Tax from their increased membership.
  2. Social Guilds can expand to introduce more people into content.
  3. Raiding Guilds can (still) run multiple teams; even more than before though!
  4. All Guilds/Communities reaching their current limit could grow further.
  5. LFG/LFM/WTB/WTS/WTT chat would increase.
  6. More people getting into Group content is better for ZOS accounting department.

Possible Cons/Things to contemplate
  1. Would this increase negatively (or positively) affect the guild trader/trading market.
  2. Would 1000 member Guild Chat be unmanageable. Peak time restrictions might have to be enforced (cooldown on when you can talk again).
  3. A third chat layer for Guilds might be required, similar to the current /g1 & /o1 chats /u1 (utility chat) would handle LFG/LFM/WTB/WTS/WTT leaving /g1 or /o1 open still for conversation.
  4. How would this affect Guild Banks, Ranks, Notes & Permissions.
  5. How would this affect 50 member social guilds.
  6. What about Performance issues for both server and client side.

As an advocate for raising the limit I am of course biased towards my own opinion but would definitely like to hear what other people think about this; and if it is even possible.

PVP 12-person-composition! Coord Group

Wanted: Class Change Token

I submitted a ticket asking if it was possible to change one of my character's classes.

Instead I was told that their alliance cannot be changed and I should make a suggestion on the forums. (Note: I did not ask about alliance change.)

I would like a class change token that when used on a character allows them to choose a different class, as well as resetting their skills/morphs/CP/ability points, but leaving their achievements, learned motifs, non-class skill levels (crafting, world, racial, guild, etc), quests, mount training, etc. alone.

Again, change class, not alliance.

I'd imagine the price point for such a token to be similar to a race change.

Speaking of the removal of crown crates...

Just wanted to put this out here becuase I've been wanting to make a topic about it for a long time now. Posted in another topic, I decided to copy this here since stuff gets buried so easily in here. I want to know some opinions of other people and ZOS to see this (yeah ask me why I haven't given up yet lol)

SW Battlefront 2 just completely removed their loot crates and turned their shop into what ESO used to have. And look how many people happily approve of that.

Have direct seasonal access to all cosmetics for a set price of Crowns in the shop. Buy it or not, up to you, no gambling, no disappointment. Get what you pay for, high prices or not. It's a better, much much healthier system. And yes it's healthier for both the company and the playerbase, BECAUSE IT DOESNT MAKE THE GAME LOOK LIKE CRAP AND THE COMPANY LOOK LIKE BUNCH OF GREEDY A's (especially when the customer service isn't always exactly top)... all this in turn does what? MAKE PEOPLE HAPPIER ON ALL FRONTS.

ZOS need to realise that this in turn is way better because even the poorer players would spend money on something that's guaranteed. With loot crates bull mostly only the rich will pay a lot or gambling addicts - not that many of them in both camps. It also turns a lot of players away from spending in the future if RNG treats them like crap.

Speaking of the amount of people willing to spend real money for cosmetics... Does NOONE AT ZOS REALISE THAT THE LOWER YOU PUT THE PRICES - THE MORE PEOPLE WILL BUY? And I'm talking huge numbers here. Most of the stuff in the store is NOT WORTH IT. Yes people still buy them, but it's just bad altogether. Whoever runs this department should be fired on the spot. Because that person is actually holding money back from you, ZOS, believe it or not. Experiment and find balance. Do some sale waves and evaluate profits from each. You CAN make this better.

So...

ZOS, REMOVE CROWN CRATES PLEASE. (And reduce prices - you'll see profits skyrocketing and players will be happier)
PLAYERS, DO NOT BUY THEM PLEASE. (Do not support this atrocity and your gambling addiction)

Now while I'd still rather see devs make and design these badass things they put into loot creates, like mounts and collectibles, and put them into the game as hard to get achievement rewards.. Hey, gotta make money too :) but crown crates is NOT the right answer.

PS: Yes I have bought some before, but only with free crowns i get from the sub because due to all the cool stuff being in the crates, i have nothing else to spend them on anyway. And also before someone tries to hint on how the game may become P2W, read this entire post again and think real hard about it. Thanks!

If you could change one skill? How would you change it?

Would it be good for balance? Would it be more fun to use? But not matter what would you pick?

The lack of quality in combat is driving players away from ESO

$

I've made many many threads about this topic, but I'm not gonna give up that easy till I have a proper answer.

Real story, I told my friends to buy ESO so we can have an mmo to play with each others (which they all wanted to try out anyway), but then they quickly left the game, just because of how unpolished the combat felt.

Let's be honest, ESO's combat animation and sound design are... fine, just "fine". I can't say that it's bad while comparing it to many other tittles (WOW, FF14, ...), but at the same time, for an action rpg bearing the name "Elder Scrolls", they aren't satisfying at all.

If you're a veteran players, this might not bother you at all, since you've already been hooked by the game, or have grown custom to these wonky animation. But to people who's new to the game, or want an actual action-packed experience, it's just jarring how weightless and sometimes out right disappointing how combat is presented.

Seriously, you know that you're doing something wrong when there's an article on mmorpg.com criticizes your core gameplay (aka combat)
http://www.mmorpg.com/mobile/features.cfm?read=11358&game=821&ismb=1
And if you think that combat is actually not that important, then there's a whole article talking about how Black Desert Online, a very grinding-focused game with many issues but is still praised to the sky just for its combat.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-03-17-black-desert-onlines-combat-feels-like-a-revolution-for-mmos
And if you still think that ESO's combat isn't that bad, then please look at ESO Steam reviews. There're tons of review about how players quit the game, just because of its wonky, floaty and "mediocre" combat (we all know that "mediocre" part ain't true). Just get to Steam, go to Elder Scrolls Online, filter the negative reviews, and you'll find a tons of complaints about combat (also some other whiny subject).

Before we go in depth to the ugly side of thing, let me get 1 thing straight: There are, of course, some very well made animation and sound design for weapons and skills. My favorite skill of all has got to be "Upper cut" from 2H weapons skill line. It feels super powerful and impactful. Of course thing could be a little better, for example, adding a trail of smoke and rocks being flipped into the air.

Ok, on to the ugly part:

1. Most duel wield and 1H&shield skills look straight up terrible. The skill "puncture" should be named "gently porking". I mean look at this
image
I know that it's a little bit better now, but that's the point, that "little bit better" is almost non present. It feels like the weapons have no weight, and so player just use as minimum effort as he/she can to "gently pork" the victim. I mean look at this
bloodborne_backstab.0.gif
Now that's how you do it right. It feels so satisfying just by looking at it (the gore isn't really needed, but it sure added the sense of power).

2. The base animation design for some skill is just boring and sometimes lazy. I can totally see how "puncture" is a good premise for a skill (you just need to execute it right), but "Low slash"? More like "gently hit someone's knee" (Skyrim's meme not intended). And "Force Shock"? It basically is a beam. That's it, a beam, a light beam, totally boring.

3. Most of the time, the actions don't even connect from the caster to the victim, or to put it in another way, the actions do no impact. You "Puncture" someone, but that person doesn't bleed. You "Force Shock" someone, but he/she looks totally fine, no wounds, no special effect, no splash, no nothing.

4. There're many times when you deal damage to enemies just by hitting the air, literally. I know this might be the result of some hitbox mistakes, but please fix it ZOS, it looks really hilarious.

5. There are some ultimates that feel straight up disappointing to use, such as Radial Sweep and Death Stroke. I'll never forget the reaction of my friend on his first time using Radial Sweep, and he was like "That's it? Are you [snip] kidding me?". These skills suffer the same problems mentioned above: they don't impact the victim, they look pretty lame and cheap. I mean look at Nova, now that's an ultimate (though I think it can have a better entrance animation). Please ZOS, make the ultimate skills feel like actual ultimate, not "slashing someone with 2 blades".

6. Same problems present right on the basic weapons, especially 1H weapons. They all have longer attack range than their actual look, so most of the time you'll just kill enemies by slashing the air. The weapons itself has no sense of weight, the swing feels super weak, and so the impact looks so bland (I do notice some blood, that's good but not enough). Also, the sound design makes me feel like I'm swinging a butter knife, not a fearsome weapon.

Some of you guys after reading this will probably think: "Wait, we'll do animation cancel anyway, so why the hell should ZOS waste time on this?". Well here's the thing: It's not like you can cancel 100% of the animation, most of the time you can only cancel the light and heavy attack animation, you can actually cancel the whole skill animation with bashing or weapon swap, but hey, you don't even do it 100% of the time, not even 80%. Also, an animation overhaul is an unavoidable process. ESO is already 3 years old, if this idea would ever go live, it would be at least 2018, meaning ESO will turn 4 years old. Do you really want to play a 4 years old quality game? When newer entries of the genre are coming out with strong first combat impression (Black desert online, Revelation Online, ....).

And the most important thing: We're playing an Elder Scrolls game, a triple A game, we paid 60$ (most of us) or even more for this game, so why do we have to put up with such an outdated system? Just patting yourself on the shoulder and say "It's alright, this is fine, the game is fine, we just need more content, and please balance the game (like that would ever happen)". Instead, demand more, want more, want more better things, want much more better things. Combat is 1 of the core gameplay mechanic of ESO and it should be treated with more love than now.

And to you ZOS, @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_RichLambert please don't hold back ESO from its full potential just because of 1 unpolished aspect

If you run a small group, solo, run a medium group we need you in a Shor. I’m not talking about weekend spill over from Vivec, but people who legit want to play regularly on weekdays even if it’s just two or three nights. I’ve talked with some EP players who believe the campaign is healthy and balanced even though EP currently has over 8k pts and AD sits at around 3k, DC currently over 6k due to some guilds coming over from Vivec occasionally. It was extremely refreshing to see some AD on earlier. I wish I had the time to put into running a consistent group, but unfortunately we need multiple people to come together to improve the population balance especially on AD. We lost some good people/guilds in recent weeks and it would be great to see Shor come back to what is was starting to become.

Truly a spectacle for the Queen's mighty Navy, for none of their enemies, be they Pact ships or impassable landmasses, can stop them from achieving their goals. Their great vessels go wherever the Queen desires them to, even if it probably means taking a team of Mages to teleport the entire boat up-river via straight through an Argonian Temple. A Temple in which a Pirate ship is already docked and also blocking the way.

Maybe someone in the Art department, or whoever it is, could spend some time redesigning a few areas of landscape to make them more continuity and logically friendly? For all these massive ships to traverse such constricting waters is a feat that even makes Wizards blush.

Red Mountain new stam dps meta?

$

UPDATE 12.08.16

After hours of bashing, insulting, flaming, proccing, dmg dealing, boasting, calculating, failing, assuming, and claiming.

Here is the most probable result, and it is kind of a draw between Twice Born Star and Red Mountain

Twice Born Star: Probably still the king of total max dps output in static fights with buffs. Better in veteran Trials and situations where u pull 40k+ dps. Should do a few more % dps when ur at 100k ish AOE too.

Red Mountain: Probably better in all other situations where your current dps is below 40k, or when you are unbuffed. Also good burst potential if you proc. The more you struggle in a battle, the more this set shines. (vDSA, vMSA, Dungeons) Note: To be effective with the set you need rapid strikes, endless hail and keep dots on targets. Or else your proc rate will vary a LOT.

Viper: Don't really know what to say here but in PvE this set is pretty fkn bad. I regret ever buying it for testing (200k gone).

It is nearly impossible to calculate the difference between the two though cause Red Mountain has a proc.

What's important to point out is that Red Mountain proc isn't much of a gamble. If you don't proc Red Mountain will pull ~7-10% less dps than Twice Born Star. Average you are looking at a ~1-3% more dmg cause of the proc in various situations. Theoretically, depending on the situation, you can achieve at least ~20% more damage within 10 seconds from Red Mountain compared to Twice Born Star if you are very lucky. That said, with buffs up Twice Born Star could probably close a bit of this pretty huge dps gap.

In the end it is up to you which set you wanna wear, because they both seem to have a purpose in this game :)
