40k health templars and only healbots doing 6-10k unmitigated damage with this skill while not having a single damage skill on their bar is pretty broken isnt it?

Seems player unfriendly mechanics if we make this quest again, when we are already a werewolf on magicka.
We have some free skill points, but deal very low damage due to low stamina, while no possibility to spend skill points on WW healing skill.
I tried with the snake and it was pain in the *** to even survive. If the damage is so low on magicka, why there is no healing skill to compensate the chances?
On stamina we need few seconds to beat the snake even without heal, but on magicka the struggle is just no fun.

Tweaks and Crazy Changes to Over 60 Off-Meta and Weak Gear Sets

There will always be a meta. There will always be the build that does something the best. Still, I thought it'd be interesting to take a look at some of the lesser used sets and see if I could give them some new life. I've always wondered why most of the sets in ESO are so unused or strictly outclassed by others, so I tried to change that by providing new options and effects for players.

Some rules/goals I considered:
  • Don't just buff up numbers, even though that's what a lot of sets need.
  • Try not to ruin PvP, you PvE casual scum. (PvP isn't my thing, but I try to understand it where I can.)
  • Make 5-pieces that are worth it and compete with current meta sets.
  • Introduce some useful 3-pieces for more build options
  • Provide some tools for lesser used playstyles (frost dps, frost staff tanking, hybrids, alternative support builds, etc.)
  • Amplify set identities by using their names and/or drop locations.
  • Change as many sets as you can. Don't be afraid to make a change.
  • Error on the side of over powered, instead of a change being still too weak

Let's start by saying that there could be a lot of potential for interesting setups in ESO if more 3 item set pieces had some flavor too them. This is just one example, where fire heavies become AOE channels and shock heavies become one big shock hit. This could open up some DPS options that were not previously available.

A lot of fun and interesting effects in ESO never get used, which is a real shame. Having destructive mage proc per enemy would require some coordination but a really fun payoff. This could serve as a magicka dps support set, of which there are very few. Could lower the radius to decrease the effectiveness but still make the damage payoff worth it.

Instead of being strictly worse than infallible mage, this set can become more focused on sustain and group utility. This can be worn by a dps as an alternate support setup, or by a healer paired with spell power cure for another way to support magicka dps.

Whenever I run through vMA, I'm disappointed that most of the sets are too weak to hold on to. Succession is a cool effect, but needs a little more flavor. Seeing the element swirl around you and buffing it up a bit might make for a fun multi-element build.

For a set with glory in the name, it is rather lacking in glory. This set would involve being aware of what effect is currently up and adjusting accordingly. Because optimal tank gearing is so focused on group utility and penetration, the more selfish tank sets should be good because you're sacrificing so much.

The 3 piece here is meant to allow frosty dps to utilize the fire and shock aspects of the Tri Focus passive while still being able to use frost staff heavy attacks and not be a bother to the group. Frost Dps is lacking in the game, so it'd be nice to see it in a bit more desirable state.

Instead of a heavy armor damage set, I've changed it into a 5 piece tool for frost staff tanking. This is a guaranteed AOE source of Minor Maim to compete with dk talons.

A big part of my changes involve taking the set source, name, and flavor into account. The Medusa set needed more turning to stone, so I changed up the 5 piece for tanks.

You slowly chill into a frigid cocoon of health, and you control when to reset. Very permafrosty.

Health Recovery isn't a very desirable stat, but I like the uniqueness of this set. Maybe with some magicka recovery we could see it used more before end game.

This is another example of my efforts to produce more mixing and matching with 3-pieces. Instead of changing a set entirely or buffing the numbers of weak 5 pieces, it is possible to move weak or lesser used 5 pieces up to the 3 piece slot, and see how they can be paired with other things. This also shows the possibility of armor interacting with passive abilities.

Here we have another example of taking a weak 5 piece and bringing it up to the 3 piece slot. Healers can hold onto these 3 piece sets for mixing and matching.

Combat Physician is just slightly underwhelming. Have it proc per ally (and maybe it works with trinimac's valor?), and you have a unique healer setup. SPC, Worm, and mending aren't going anywhere any time soon, so healer support setups need to be tempting and worth it.

Your armor is made of hot embers, so melee attacker weapons should spark fire explosions with their attacks... naturally. Also provides lesser sourced group utility.

The "when something happens while you are under X% health" sets are really tough to make fun, interesting, and worth using. Here is a sustain set idea for tanks of all types that makes the set way stronger. Again, tank and healer setups are usually group oriented, so selfish sets should be worth it if they are used.

Instead of another bland "under 30% health" set, I've changed this into a more flavorful and unique set for tanks. This would introduce the crazy idea of a "pet tank," which in this case, provides some survivability for group members, especially the melee dps in tight.

Dunerippers have a habit of burrowing underground when you are about to dps them down. Becoming shrouded in a swirl of sand would be very visually satisfying as a tank. The Duneripper set should take that ability to the player.

This is a unique way for tanks to provide some group utility, in the form of a kind of half purge. The magicka recovery is also quite nice.

Another "under X% health" set that needs changing. This set makes your enemies explode like draugrs. Good for exploding trash groups, where DPS can focus the enemy you taunted first.

Death's Wind related to Draugr Heritage, so I kept it that way. The effect is slightly weaker but still useful for new tanks.

Instead of locking this cool effect behind a long cooldown, I've changed it into a big trade off for tanking. When you die, you are locked in position. Good for fights where tank mobility isn't important. Sets which have their effects active at all times will always win out in optimal groups, but this is a fun novelty that involves group synergy.

Similar to the eternal yokeda change, but it can only happen once per combat encounter. Resurrecting, miraculously, sounds too cool for an auto-decon set.

Daedric Trickery is on the fringe of being very interesting to use. First, the set only has a 50% uptime. Second, expedition is far too easily obtained otherwise. Taking both into account, we keep 4 major buffs possible and maybe this set sees some more use.

Now that armor abilities require wearing 5 pieces of the armor type, the armor master set could provide a unique opportunity to mix and match.

"When you take damage while you are under 35% Health" and you're in light armor... you're probably dead. Instead, I changed the 5 piece into something for those who dream of sneaky high spell damage. The spell damage would have to be closely looked at, but this could produce unique low crit builds.

This change makes it so that allies can pick up the essences you take from your enemies. This could serve as a support set for stam dps, or tanks can grab the essences as well.

For a set called Blooddrinker, we're doing a frighteningly low amount of blood drinking. This makes it so that the blood we drink goes straight into the vitality of our veins... because that's how biology works, right?

This is another instance where the set proc doesn't do the name justice. The flames should blossom out gloriously, instead of moving in an underwhelming straight line. Have them radiate out in more directions, but decrease the damage. Visuals are important.

The crusader set really needs to allow for more crusading. This is a unique effect which actually procs a skill. I don't love the cooldown but it could be really strong if it can be used too reliably. Might actually prefer a shorter cooldown but a lower proc chance.

The current 5 piece is extraordinarily underwhelming. You could add group utility to the 5 piece, or you could bring the 5 piece into the 3 piece slot like I've discussed and see where it could find a pairing with something else.

These sets could provide an option for players within the same 5 piece. Change which buff you use depending on the content you're doing. Seems like a good way to spice up this type of 5 piece.

Bash is free and provides fracture and breach, but it comes at a cost. Could be combined with the altered knightmare set for a crazy bash tank build.

Lamias like to scream with each other. With this support set, players can scream out their ultimate and extend the next one used by a group member. This would make for unique timing and coordination of ultimate abilities.

Here I've provided a new way to taunt, and the first way to AOE taunt. Because an AOE taunt would be strong, the taunt has its duration reduced. Could be really fun for dungeon runs.

Lamae was some sort of self healing vampire that would spontaneously annihilate her enemies. My changes provide some self healing and a buff to the recovery of the 5 piece.

The meta will always have something pull out on top, but there is still plenty of room in the game for alternative setups and niche builds that are fun but still perform well. If people can fill a role well while doing it in a different way, I think more people will find unique setups and playstyles they can enjoy. The more strong ways there are to dps, heal, and tank, the more likely it is that someone will find a unique way to have fun.

I'm quite low and in Auridon but i really like my characters looks how does someone in this game change classes etc i've looked around but cannot find it.. I'm currently a Stam warden but honestly i hate it very boring skills and lackluster damage etc (really glad i didn't pick magwarden looking at those nerfs people are all complaining about though)..

Just wondering how on earth we change classes in this game, i'd think it would be easy but nope?

I can't beat vMA. I need advice.

Cyrodiil Updates for Update 18

Here is some news about Cyrodiil for update 18 (the Summerset update). There are more things coming for the update besides what is listed here and we’ll detail those in the coming months, but here’s a start:

Server Performance: Several requirements that were part of ability passives have been converted to server side encoded checks, which will cut down on requirements ran per ability use.

Client Performance: We have increased the amount of cpu cores used by the client which should improve framerate for players on mid to high end CPU's on PC platforms. On consoles and PC we have improved how characters are composited resulting in faster character loads and less framerate spikes.

Defense ticks no longer require you to sit and wait in an objective for the tick. Instead, each type of objective will track whether you’ve earned credit towards a defense or offense tick. Earning the offense or defense "tick" is pretty easy, and you earn credit for pretty much everything except standing there doing nothing. Offense ticks still have a base value that will be granted regardless of being on the credit list, but any bonus AP earned by combat around and inside an objective will only be granted to players that are on the credit lists.

You can be on several credit lists for a Keep superstructure of a Keep, Mine, Lumbermill and Farm and earn Defense ticks for each of them, however if you defend or attack a new Keep superstructure, your credit will be removed.

On top of that, we've increased the amount of Alliance Points you can earn from a Keep Defense with a multiplier based on the lowest ranking Resource of that keep. This is meant to encourage defending the entire superstructure of a Keep and it's supporting structures.

Lastly regarding Keeps themselves, we’ve added a new Keep Upgrade to more defensive siege weapons. The higher the keep levels are on wood, food and ore, the more siege weapons defenders can place.

New daily quests have been added with a new quest board. These quests will grant Cyrodiil exclusive costume pieces and other goodies.

Under-population and Underdog evaluation periods have been drastically reduced. This will result in scoring adjustments being applied more frequently depending on population and scoring within shorter time periods.

Monsters/guards in CP Enabled campaigns have learned how to deal with CP enabled characters. They will be a bit harder to kill and hit a bit harder.

Catapults now have their area damage stick around in the world for a period of time after impact resulting in better area denial. Ballista have been rebalanced to do more damage vs. Siege weapons and damage vs. players has been reduced.

There is more info for Cyrodiil and update 18 coming in the next few months, but until then we will see you in the war!

I’m sure this has been asked a ton of times, but where are the best places to farm ancestor silk? Due to the event the prices in guild traders are insane but since I just switched from console I have many toons to gear out.

VMA Stage 9, Boss fight - Crematorial / Shard issues

Stam DK here , CP405. Getting to round 9 in vet arena has been quite a journey , this has so far been the hardest conent i have done in any game in my life - loving it!

I am currently stuck at final boss fight. I have wiped around 600 times in there, and im finally getting close to developing a working tactic - i need some input though.

What kept killing me over and over is the spawn of the Crematorial Guard right after boss teleports in the beginning of final round. With a ultimate charged up, or by using shield sigil i SOMETIMES manage to kill the crematorial guard ( the skulls boss cast is what made this so hard ) but nowhere NEAR a consistent strategy. Yestarday i had a breakthrough, i buffed myself up before the spawn of the boss and with a power sigil managed to get him down to 70% before the crematorial guard spawns. My questions are:

1. I get him down to 70% after he teleports first time, however - the Crematorial guard spawns about 50% of the time. Is he on some sort of fixed timer? How does that work?
2. Im having problems destroying all the crystals before the DOT kills me and im out of stamina. Is there a strategy to destroying them? Should i focus on 1 at the time or set up dots on all and just go with the flow?

Help is appriciated :)

fyi it was like 350 per slot on the test server

or more expensive then over 2 chapters (so do you want 2 eso chapters or 9 cosmetic slots?)

seems a little bit insane.

btw slots are per character as confirmed in this thread so its actually $100 PER CHARACTER

so 12 characters total x 13,500 crowns per character plus 1500 crowns for the 4 character slots above base 8 in the first place (6k crowns total) is a grand total of. . .

one hundred and sixty eight thousand crowns 168,000

at the most efficient crown bundle (21,000 crowns for $149.99) that's just under $1200 before tax

I have full gems and I’m on Xbox and I hold the button to res. So far nothing? I can interact with other players. It must do with something with werewolf again. I know werewolves can’t res but can feast on bodies. I seen bugs where you be stuck in either vampire or werewolf. And I guess the game thinks I’m in werewolf form.

Hi Friends,

I've been back and enjoying a Stamden pressure build I have in progress.

DW BAR: Bloodlust, Green Lotus, Rending Slashes, Resolving Vigor, Bird of Prey

Bow Bar: Lethal Arrow, Bull Netch, Ice Fortress, Soothing Spores, and Sub Assault

running 5M / 1L/ 1H || 5 Brass + 1 a and bow bar, then I'm running 5 Morag on my dw bar 4 other wise with 2 Bloodspawn.

60 into Thaumaturge, 57 into mighty and piercing, 17 into precise, 25 into MaA and 5 into physical weapon experts,

I'm screwing around with my other two trees so much I dont remember the set up, currently catching up to the cp cap.

I enjoy the pressure I bring with this current set up, dual axe bleed plus rending slashes with double damage poisons while beating on them with Bloodcraze is fun.

I do not want to waste money going Orc and running 5h but with pressure build and my set up it would seem I would benefit more from orc and heavy then I would the 5 m set up I have no, I do not use evade.

I am looking at farming the following sets, Seventh, Fury, Ravager, and Veiled Heritance, are any of you running a heavy armor pressure build and find that heavy is better for sustain and the long fight? I realize with Fury and Seventh I'll have a ton more physical damage and my pressure will skyrocket, but I am trying to run a cost-benefit analysis to whether or not switching to heavy and orc for this build mitigate more overall damage and generate more sustain than 5 medium set up.

Hello there.

I've seen other races wear that nord beard they have. Did all races used to have it or was it in the crown store at some point? Or have I completely missed it in adornments section?
