Advice needed: stam sorc Battlegrounds build

I recently decided to give Battlegrounds a try and, after a bit of reading, felt like a stam sorc would be a good option due to their mobility. Only thing is, I'm a TOTAL noob when it comes to small scale no-CP PVP, and I'm not sure where to start. So I've a few questions for those of you who're familiar with Battlegrounds:

1. Is Mechanical Acuity worthless on a Khajiit in a no-CP PVP environment? If so, what would be a better offensive alternative that synergizes well with the Khajiit's crit passive? High pen? Some other proc set? I already have Bone Pirate covered for sustain, so it's just the offensive set that I'm not 100% sure about.

2. Should I go 5 HA / 2 MA for more survivability, or 5 MA / 2 HA so I can use Shuffle?

3. Best monster set(s)? I'm using Valkyn Skoria at the moment.

4. What would a typical DW/Bow setup look like? I don't really want to go 2H/Bow or 1HS/2H as I got burned out a little on said setups on my stamplar.

5. Are resource drain poisons a no-no in Battlegrounds? Or will everyone else be using them, so they're fair game?

So this is part "Show off your home" thread and part whinge about the 30 item limit. What I have so far is more like a base and I was getting ready to start with more shelves and knick-knacks and what-not but then I hit the limit.

I never hit the limit before because I don't like to overdo it but 30 is ridiculous for a place this size (about 2 x Barbed Hook which is 100 I think). I know the home is free but the Barbed Hook was only 11k gold. Can I just pay 11k to convert it to a small home rather than a free home and get the extra 70 items I desperately need... please?

I really like this room over the other Vvardenfell properties because the others are too large for me to afford to decorate (Amaya Lake Lodge) or I don't like the style of the home (Ald Velothi Harbor - Bug House).

I wish there was a home about the size of Twin Arches in Vvardenfell with the same stonework and flooring as this apartment. I'd snap that right up.

I chose this topic because we had not seen a beast race zone yet so far in the game. In all eyes of the beholder the COMMUNITY only one can be chosen. Please feel free to put down your thoughts and ideas?

Here's my thought are they the underdogs to be the hope to save Tamriel in the future?

I propose that Vampirism should have a high upkeep cost and should be reworked in its entirety.

I believe Vampirism is rampant in ESO. This is very strange, lore evading, lore breaking - especially for Templar's, and seems to need some changes. The obvious change would be to make it so Vampires just weren't as powerful by nerfing their passives but a more realistic solution would be to apply an upkeep to the Vampirism system.

The upkeep system would provide that you lose power over time in a system of stages. This would change the values for things like Undeath and Supernatural Recovery. For example, without paying the upkeep you would lose the strength of Undeath and Supernatural Recovery every three to six hours.

So, if you don't go around feeding you would perhaps go down to 7% Resource Regeneration then 5% and then 3% until Supernatural Reovery would no longer benefit you at all! However, regardless of whether or not you pay the upkeep you would still suffer the fire damage penalty and health recovery reduction.

This makes much more sense as Vampires in 99% of all fantasy must feed or they become weakened or might even die. In the case of this proposed system you would just be weaker.

As you lose levels of Vampirism due to lack of feeding the amount of Upkeep you must pay would be greater. For example, in order to maintain maximum Supernatural Recovery and Undeath you may need to feed on ten NPCs before the timer expires which then renews the timer or adds x time to it.

But for each level you go down you must feed on an additional five NPCs.

This system is superior to the current system in several ways.
  • It makes more sense
  • Vampires should be weakened from not feeding
  • It doesn't make vampirism effortless

The most defining characteristic of vampires is their unnatural, insatiable need for blood. A hybridization of a plant and vampiric blood led to plants with a similar, voracious hunger for blood, among other things.[10] Blood may not be needed to stay "alive", but doing without it can cause a vampire to become extremely weak and rabid, though some types of vampires will instead become stronger and more vampiric. However, they will still become rabid after too long without blood[7][11] and in some cases, can fall into a coma. Consuming blood also allows some vampire bloodlines to maintain a more inconspicuous appearance, dulling their vampiric qualities but may improve their health and regeneration. If a vampire's bite leaves its victim alive after a feeding, the vampire risks passing its disease to the victim. Blood itself may not be needed to keep a vampire healthy; it is suggested that vampires are able to drain a warmblooded creature's "life force" to replenish their own.

Vampires are essentially parasitic and don't actually need to kill their victims during feeding, however, either out of a frenzied blood-lust or to avoid potential competition, most victims are drained completely. Only two known bloodlines are shown to be able to restrain themselves by feeding without killing, though this is out pragmaticism and most victims suffer a fate worse than death by being kept captive by vampires to be fed on continuously.

Vampires are capable of eating mortal food with no ill effects but won't derive the sustance they need from it.


Here we can see that "some types of vampires will instead become stronger and more vampiric" does not mean ALL Vampires would become stronger and more Vampiric. Further, it goes on to state they will "Still become rabid after too long without blood." This is not reflected in the game. No vampire eventually becomes "rabid" and no vampire "has to feed" in the game. This is against the lore.

Moreover, it states "Blood may not be needed to stay alive, but doing without it can cause a vampire to become extremely weak and rabid". Does taking less damage and having faster resource recovery convey weakness?

We see the following stated: " If I did not kill a warm blooded creature once a night and drink its blood, my hunger would gnaw at me, and any wounds I suffered would not heal no matter how much I rested." So tell me, does Undeath (less damage taken) convey someone not being able to heal?

We see the following stated: " Entry 8: Two weeks. Two weeks have passed since Luktuv locked me in my quarters. Try as I might, I cannot free myself. I cannot breach the doors! If I don't feed soon, I feel I will go mad." Does anything in the game encourage us to feed else we go mad? Does anything even require us to feed?

100% GPU Usage In The Rift

So I had the issue before where having the game minimised keeps your GPU usage at 100%... Well, now in The Rift, anywhere outside the cities like Riften, my GPU usage goes up to 100%. I'm sorry, but these are console graphics, even Skyrim had better graphics, and poorly optimized as it may I'm not going to burn my R9 390x 8GB VRAM card for this...

Can anyone else, with any GPU, confirm that they get absurdly high GPU usage in The Rift, outside of cities? For example just outside Riften? I have NO OTHER players, there is no combat going on, maybe only a single NPC visible... What is it trying to do? Are we all secretly part of a folding group to super-compute the next Fallout game for Bethesda???

This is ridiculous. Other areas I get the normal 50/60% usage... And I'm only using 1.7GB of my 8GB VRAM available. This is pushing temps dangerously towards 80c, for what? I can much rather stop playing if that is the case, as I WILL have my card burn out on me, I get artifacting due to reaching 84c, despite the card shutting itself down as supposed to.

@ZOS_GinaBruno?? Any ZOS representatives even around anymore? On holiday or something? This isn't a F2P game, I bought it, I expect some level of support?

Sload's Semblance (aka Shield Breaker 2.0) should be MAGICKA only!

Sload's Semblance should have it's Stamina and Weapon Damage set bonuses removed and replaced with Magicka friendly bonuses.

This set should NOT be released in a form that would make it attractive to Stamina builds who could pair it with Shield Breaker. A Stamina bow build using these two sets with Infused Oblivion enchants could do 4K unmitigated damage per SECOND on a typical Mag Sorc! That's not even counting the damage from abilities and light attacks!

Do I even need to spell out how game-breaking this would be? We don't need another Shield Breaker!

As the anniversary event was coming to a close I found myself overrun with writ surveys and an insane amount of Mats. I am unable to subscribe to ESO Plus due to personal reasons so I was stressed out a lot about how I could ever manage my inventory. Then comes ZOS to the rescue! The ESO Plus trial has made it possible for me to store all this junk in a craft bag and not want to hurt myself! True I may be spending a lot more of my free time than I should grinding away at getting all my surveys done in the limited time I have, but it is time well spent to take care of my storage issues. ZOS..this was a job well done and much appreciated by me anyways...Now, if you could just start buffing everything and not nerfing everything and make a functional activity finder for vet trials then I think I would go from appreciation to full blown love...but that's me. At any rate. THANK YOU...now someone quick copy and paste in Maui singing you're welcome for everyone's enjoyment!

Running like an Assassin (Personality)

I usually never use the third person camera while playing but recently I was checking out my character, running around with the Assassin Personality applied and I noticed something that I don't know whether is intended or not. When normally running the Assassin Personality looks awesome, arm out all assassin-like but then as soon as I sprint it turns to the normal running animation.

I will admit I find it hilarious to sneak up to someone, all stealthy, arm out, Blade of Woe in the back, then run off like some normal chap on a daily jog.

Is the Personality just supposed to be for normal running or should it also apply to sprinting?

About the Guild:

     The Knights of Corinthia are a guild that has an emphasis of Player Versus Player (PvP) and the occasional trip into Cyrodiil! With our main focus being one PvE, we spend most our time exploring Tamriel, questing, delving and doing dungeon runs!

     In Tamriel, there are so many little things you can improve on and learn: what we believe is a unique aspect of our guild is the determination that we all share for the development of newer players! That means if you are new to the game, or haven't quite gotten to where you want to be- all of our knights are there to help!

Are You a Good Fit?

     The Knights of Corinthia will never ask you for any gold- absolutely no dues! We don't believe in wealth over the progress of our knights. Granted, donations are excepted out of generosity for guild expenses (materials for our Crafters, guild hall, etc.) All we ask out of recruits are to be determined, accountable and willing to aid a fellow guildmate. That's all! Because we don't PvP often, we do except candidates regardless of their alliance (the Knights of Corinthia are currently aligned in the Daggerfall Covenant-if you were curious). As I said earlier, there is no such thing as level restriction in the guild- as a matter of fact we prefer newer players to join our ranks!

     So, if you are looking for dungeon raids, delving, questing, aid in overall progression, or anything that the PvE world has to offer- then look no further!

Current Status of the Guild:

     Currently the guild is just being resurrected, meaning we don't have much in the means of capital, a guild hall, master trait Crafters, or officer ranks. What all that means is opportunity! We are currently seeking these positions and are willing to do what it takes to accommodate most needs! I wanted to include this so everything is out in the open, we don't like surprises or dishonesty!

Week 1 - charge first enemies you see, die in 2 seconds.
Week 2 - join the zerg, PvDoor, die once every 10-20 minutes.
Week 3 - charge lone enemy player, die in 10 seconds.
Week 4 - re-join zerg, PvDoor, die 1-2 times an hour.
Week 5 - charge unsuspecting enemy, kill them, die to their friends 5 seconds later, watch them get rezzed.
Week 6 - back to the zerg, venture away from crown occasionally to pick off enemy stragglers with help, die 2-3 times an hour.
Week 7 - plan an attack, kill player, survive! Get over confident, charge group of players, die in 2 seconds.
Week 8 - follow zerg around at a distance with a few other players finding opportunities to kill enemies away from main zerg, die every 10-20 minutes.
Week 9 - wait along popular travel routs and pick off players making their way to objective, get overwhelmed after 30 minutes.
Week 10 - get your first PvP related hate whisper, REJOICE!
Week 11 - ???

A campaign to lose (AD - NA)

It's a shame to see some guild leaders confess they're on Vivec (main server, so to speak) only for pvdoor and farm AP and not interested in the campaign.

Well, everyone has the right to follow what they think is best, the bad thing is that every day people who are interested in the campaign and fight hard for it, are unable to enter the server because other 'uninterested' are occupying the ' queue '. There are days when the queue reaches 150 in the queue.

It would be good if some guilds who made that decision rethought their ideas - let's say, selfish. Maybe change the server (SHOR).

What I do know is, other guilds are working hard to keep a score not as unfavorable as it is now, especially, the guilds of Ocean Prime time.

I hope AD can be a faction again and not scattered groups, interested in their personal scores, AP to the detriment of the vast majority of players who are interested in the campaign.

ZOS please, change daily reset for horses and hirelings to avoid unnecessary re-logging to servers.

The title pretty much says it all. The community asked in the past the 24 horse to be made flexible for daily logon, and ZOS listened - it is 20 hours now, so that we don't have to bother with the minute and the seconds! This was a wise decision and perfect QoL!

However, we still need to log all our alts once for the horse and crafting, and if we can not manage to sync both timers with the hirelings - a second time only for that. This is generating on average 20 logins per person only for this (crafting writs and daily tasks based on timers). Why not have it bound to the daily reset? This way - when a person logs an alt she/he can do everything necessary without the need to think about it anymore for the day.

I believe this will help prevent million server requests 24x7 and help mitigate the long loading screens we all experience, especially on events and prime-times. I am sure this is not the only reason, but one nice feature this game learns everyone of us is that every bit helps!

If I am tired or don't have time to log on - I will not. Forcing me to log on for one or another reason will not make me stay longer online ... because this is how long I can stay online.
I really don't see a real benefit from this.

Ever since the release of One Tamriel and the implementation of the “smart” system that bases that Viper’s Sting procs off of melee effects has made it so that the Viper’s Sting Bow is no longer in the loot table for Fungal Grotto. This is not an RNG issue as it is no longer in the loot table! This is absolutely ridiculous.

Werewolf Quest never goes away even after quest completion

About 2 weeks ago I was a the werewolf shrine in Riften,got bit by another player,did the quest for Lycanthropy and thats it. Mind you before turning into a werewolf I was a lvl 10 maxed out vamp and even before that I had already maxed out my werewolf skill from months ago. So after getting bit and such I went to Rawl'ka to do some writs but I realize the NPC Thoreki was waiting there to give me the quest for Lycanthropy which I had already done. I thought if I do the quest again she would go away, but even after completing it again she was still at Rawl'ka and other major cities trying to give me the quest. Not even completing the quest again works. The Sanius Lupinus effect is still in my character screen as in I got bit but never did the quest. Im On the PS4 NA server on my cp252 Khajiit StamSorc. I dont know if people are getting this too,but I can basically go into the hunting grounds again and again if I wanted to. Thanks.
