Why North American truelflame EP, WHY??

$

I realize that the EP on the NA server in the Trueflame campaign are jealous of the DC's ability to hold off a 75-90 man zerg on glademist at 1 AM with 25 DC defenders. I also realize it's humiliating for the EP when the only way they can finally take the keep is when their EMP shows up. My question is this -- why does the EP attack DC? Why do you have this irrational hatred for the DC? Why don't you go and ROFLstomp the AD for a night? Seriously, when you can remain pop capped until 3AM on a Friday night while the rest of us are at Med, you should really devote your resources to attacking both factions. What do you do? You designate yourselves as the Akatoshes ******* retribution against the DC because we went and stole the scroll that the AD ghost capped from you at 4AM on Wednesday from the AD. Come on -- was it really necessary to zerg both our scrolls with your unholy red markers of corruption? Was it really fair to attack a faction with 80-90 people on at 3AM with your ridiculous 250+? Meanwhile, the borders between the Aldmeri and the Ebonheart were quiet as the grave..

Yeah, yeah, it was a fun night. I and the guildies genuinely enjoyed the hopelessness of it. It was fun to kill so many with so few -- but still hopeless.

*Ahem* Rant over.

Now to my question:

I came back to ESO after roughly 8 months because Ive been in nursing school. When I left trueflame on the NA server, AD was more populated than a pregnant bull frog and EP was the underdog. DC seemed to be the happy medium. Now, 8 months later, I come back to a red faction that has more capability to spawn than a horny rabbit on Easter. Meanwhile, the formation of the fabled team orange (consisting of whats left of the AD and the zergerific EP) seems to take pleasure in the destruction of blue. Where are the DC? Right where I left them. Stuck with an underwhelming population.

Why is it that the EP suddenly has this hatred for DC? I would think that after 4 months of being ROFLstomped by the AD in the summer of 2015 that the EP would focus their aggression on the AD. Instead, the EP not only use their superior numbers to grind the DC into the ground whenever we've displeased them -- they let the AD tag along like starving vultures feeding on the remains of our cut off keeps.

Ebonheart Pact -- what the heck? What happened while I was gone to incite this hatred?

Do we need a synergy design rework?

I like synergies, and we even have alot of powerful sets who works with a synergy.
Synergy also allowes us to tweak our builds with more dmg and less sustain, due to shards and mana orbs for example.

It might be me that need to l2p. If that is the case, please teach me.
Because I struggle so much with synergies. They are there, I can see them, then they dissapear and im standing there like a noob, trying desperate to find the synergy again. running around in small circles like; dont mind me, im just.. saw a synergy here somewhere? Then it pops up for half a second before it is gone again.

Also its very annoying when you have to press conduit and purify before finally finding the shards.

I also have seen myself running past a shard, and can still pick it up even when im like 20 meters away from it, but not while actually standing in the circle. It feels like whoever finds it first, have the power to press it, no matter where they are or something.

So how does a synergy actually work, how is it coded/programmed. Does it needs a rework or do I just need to l2p?

my take on jules video and RD

Hey everyone, first off I want to say that I think Jules is an awesome player. I've met the player on the battle field and have been wrecked...more than once XD.

I do not feel that RD needs a nerf as everyone is stating. The video showcases all the executes and how long it takes to kill someone from full health to dead, with radiant destruction clearly taking the cake, no timer needed, but I want to discuss the differences between the executes and WHY RD is on par with or even worse than the other executes.

The absolute biggest reason is that RD is the ONLY channeled execute, therefore, you get the opportunity to light attack, heavy attack cancel at the beginning of the skill and three only three seconds later. Two hander users who use execute can fire off at least TWO light/ heavy attack canceled into the execute, canceled into a bash within the same time my radiant goes for three seconds, doing WAY more damage within the time frame. RD actually does relatively poor damage at full health. Mine with 38k magick and 4k spell power crits MAX at full health for 4k...vampires bane hit for the same amount and its NOT a channel! You can use it at full health against a magick build, at least not 1v1 cause its a death sentence, and its only real use is against dodge rollers, who most of the time can line of sight, or purge it away (cept DKs and sorcs, unless they use purge skill).

Soo...i have spent alot of time going back and forth trying to decide if the skill was really over powered as all these players are suggesting, and I have decided that no. Its NOT over powered and fits its intended roll perfectly.

Now if it MUST be changed to fit better with the masses complaining about it, how about this
1- Radiant oppression: Deals 100% more damage depending on max magicka, and an additional 50% more at execute (or no execute at all)
2- Radiant Glory: Heals 50% of damage done, deals 300% more at execute at 30% health

Is this something most could live with? This allows us to still have a powerful tool against Stamina builds, and glory gives us defense while executing, to deal with the fact that its a channel, glory being the true execute, oppression being a minor one

Detailed Explanation of Block Cost Changes

$

First, thanks to everyone for all your feedback on block. We appreciate the time you've spent testing everything out, and we'd like to take some time to explain some of our most recent changes.

Live vs PTS Block Costs
In general, we feel that if you decide to hold block against all attacks, it should require a significant investment. To help explain this, let’s start with a mathematical peek at how low you can get block costs on Live versus what's currently on the PTS. In this exercise, we're using a fully-optimized character wearing 7 pieces of gold-quality heavy armor, 3 purple jewelry with block cost reduction, and the full 25% block cost reduction through the Champion System. The first 2 examples assume you are getting hit every half second, while the 3rd example is representative of a boss fight where you are getting hit once a second. As bosses usually hit less frequently, this is intended as a worst case scenario.

While reviewing these examples, please keep the following points in mind:
  • Fortress, Bracing, and Defensive stance bonuses are additive
  • Block cost has a cooldown of 0.5 seconds - No matter how many monsters are attacking, you can block every single attack and will only be charged every half second.
  • To calculate Constitution’s stamina return relative to block costs, we need to figure out how much stamina is being returned every half second. Constitution gives 346 stamina every 4 seconds, which equates to 43 every half second. We can then subtract that 43 from the amount each block is charging you since you are being charged that block cost every half second.

Live
Base Block Cost: 2160
25% Champion Cost Reduction: 2160 * .75 = 1620
3x purple block cost enchantments: 1620 – 191x3 = 1620 – 573 = 1047
Fortress, Bracing, and Defensive Stance: 1047 * 0.42 = 440
Constitution: 440 – 43 = 397

PTS
Base Block Cost: 2160
25% Champion Cost Reduction: 2160 * .75 = 1620
3x purple block cost enchantments: 1620 – 191x3 = 1620 – 573 = 1047
Fortress and Defensive Stance: 1047 * .56 = 587
Sturdy x1: 587 * .96 = 563
Constitution: 563 – 163 = 400

PTS – Boss Fight
Base Block Cost: 2160
25% Champion Cost Reduction: 2160 * .75 = 1620
3x purple block cost enchantments: 1620 – 191x3 = 1620 – 573 = 1047
Fortress and Defensive Stance: 1047 * .56 = 587
Constitution 1 second: 587 – 326 = 261

Assuming the worst case scenario where you get hit exactly every half second, you only need 1 piece of Sturdy gear equipped to keep the current block costs. This means you now have the option to wear 8 pieces of Sturdy to get even lower costs. We’re not trying to force Sturdy on tanks, but more to give an option for players who block a lot and need more stamina recovery. Tanks who are getting hit every second on average will actually be able to block more with the upcoming changes in Dark Brotherhood, and that’s without having any Sturdy items equipped. Also note that you’ll have additional magicka with the updated Constitution passive to help you use more utility abilities while tanking:

DB Constitution value = 1305
Live Constitution value = 346
1305 – 346 = 959 / 2 seconds = 480 additional magicka every 2 seconds

Champion System
We recently moved the block cost reduction from the Steed tree to the Shadow tree. This change was made to give more options in customizing your defenses, and help reduce the amount of time spent blocking. When spending Warrior points, you don’t need to invest in block cost; you can now consider increased healing taken, stronger damage shields, or more damage reduction. Let’s dive into how this will affect the stats of a character with 501 Champion Points who is trying to maximize their block time and damage resistance:

Live - Warrior
100 Block Expertise – 25% Block Cost Reduction.
33 Hardy – 11.5% Reduced Poison, Disease, and Physical Damage.
34 Elemental Defender – 11.8% Reduced Flame, Frost, Shock, and Magic Damage.
Unique unlocks the PTS build does not have (Invigorating Bash, Phase, Shield Expert)

Live - Thief
100 Warlord – 16% Cost Reduction Stamina abilities
67 Magician – 12.6% Cost Reduction Magicka abilities
Unique unlocks the PTS build does not have (Mara’s Gift, War Mount)

PTS - Warrior
83 Hardy – 21.9% Reduced Poison, Disease, and Physical Damage reduction.
84 Elemental Defender – 22.1% Reduced Flame, Frost, Shock, and Magic Damage.
Unique unlocks the Live build does not have (Critical Leech, Unchained)

PTS - Thief
100 Block Expertise – 25% Block Cost Reduction.
67 Warlord - 12.6% Cost Reduction Stamina abilities.
Unique unlocks the Live build does not have (Fortune Seeker, Merchant Favored, Treasure Hunter)

The average ability cost is 2700 resources. That’s going to be reduced to 2268 when maxing out the Magician Champion star, or 2365 with lesser investment. If you cast an ability every 2 seconds, you will end up with more magicka after the Dark Brotherhood changes because Constitution is giving more magicka. The difference in only putting 67 points in Magician is 2365 – 2268 = 97 magicka (480 every 2 seconds from Constitution – 97 every 2 seconds nets you 383 magicka every 2 seconds). Even if you put no points in Magician, you still end up with more magicka because of the Constitution buff. Magician gives 2700 – 2268 = 432 magicka (480 every 2 seconds from Constitution – 432 magicka from Magician = 48 magicka every 2 seconds). Overall, you have more magicka and more defense if you choose to put Warrior Champion Points into Hardy and Elemental Defender. Putting 83 points into these stars instead of 34 nets an additional 10% damage reduction.

Two of the most influential passives for tanks are Shield Expert and Unchained. The resource cost reduction from Unchained is great if you miss blocking a stun attack, or if you get feared/disoriented. The Champion passive Shield Expert gives about 1290 armor and spell resistance all the time. However, this is a great passive that is currently in a tree that is PvP and medium armor focused. To help remedy this, we’re looking into swapping Shield Expert with Resilient so the passive to reduce critical hit damage and the unlock to heal on critical hits are together. This also makes a key tanking unlock more accessible for players with lower Champion Points, requiring 30 Champion Points instead of 75.

Wrap Up
As with all pieces of the ESO balance puzzle, changes to tanking affect players of different types of content, ability loadouts, item sets, and armor weights. With Dark Brotherhood, we’re offering more ways to customize your Tanky character by allowing lower block costs than ever before and providing more flexibility when customizing your defenses. If you don’t want to take advantage of these options, your block cost should remain similar to what it was before the changes. If you still have concerns with tanking after trying out the changes, please leave a detailed reply about your character and the type of content you’re playing.

We'll also be making the following changes before Dark Brotherhood goes live:
  • Fixing an issue where Sturdy is rounding fractions down
  • Fixing an issue where Sturdy is multiplicative with itself instead of additive
  • A more accessible Shield Expert Champion unlock

[Idea] How to make sorcerers pets more useful and open road for 'summoner' gameplay

Firstly i must say that i haven't sorc so my idea is based on feedback from my mate who doesn't like magicka sorc because of 'easy play' on live and prefer stam sorc.

Currently sorc pets are completely uncontrollable and behave like a mobs vs other faction players, also they don't provide flexibility which they should provide, how to fix it:

1. Make pet skill slot more flexible, let's say you choose pet, and place it on your bar, so now you can summon it with button tap, or configure pet by holding pet skill button which should open radial menu, where you can choose pet behavior (always attack, never attack, attack my target and just 'attack').
2. Add at least 3 abilities to each pets from which you can choose what to assign on pet skill button (something like offensive CC or damage, defense abilities like heal or shield or anything other, sustain like resource trade and 'ultimate' which will wipe pet but you will benefit from it a lot).
3. Pets should scales of Thaumaturge, it mostly useless for magicka sorcs in DB(maybe it should be addressed), for stam sorcs it useful but with actual cap they will loose a lot if they decide to 100cp into it.
4. Increase pets health by 3x and give them 3x vulnerability to critical damage(shields on them also should be crittable in this case or should be removed) this change increases pets survivability in PvE and PvP, but in PvP they won't be OP.

How radial menu may looks like:
80bacf485ec8a819f9e002a0953688.png

Top icon - 'Attack' command
Bottom icon - for ultimate, but i my fantasy stopped working so it looks like 'unsummon'
Left pane - skills
Right pane - behavior

Basically only radial menu which allows to choose pet behavior will make pets 3x times more viable.

UPD: Added 3rd point to discuss.
UPD2: Added 4th point based on feedback
UPD3: Added 'concept' image of radial menu

The best way to get a mount?

Hi there I am a new player and I was looking at how to best get a mount in the game! I see many low level players on horses, yet no idea how they managed to get them that early. The base price for a horse seems to be 10.000 gold pieces from stables, so I was just wondering, is there a quest or anything that help you get a mount or is buying it the only way?

Also, I am not bothered if buying is the only way, I have a few thousand gold saved up already but as stated, if there is an easier way, I'd like to know!

Thanks in advance.

Please don't charge more than 2500 crowns for Dro- M'Athra Senche

As title says, all custom mounts have been 2500, except the ice horse. You will sell a ton of the Dro- M'Athra Senche mount if you keep the price the same as usual.

If you charge an exuberant amount more, you will turn off many players. I wouldn't doubt it having a higher price tag after the banker price.

If you agree please comment below. I know I've had crowns saved for a few months waiting on this one. Only a few more days away!

Here is elloa's preview for those who haven't heard of this mount.

Hi !

As i do for the motif previews, you think do tabard previews is useful or useless?

One part can be for preview the background patterns, one other for crest design. It can help guild for make a choice.

On top of each images, i can put a number, the Guild Master have only to link the tabard previews page ( will be the same website as motif ), and to decide, the members have only to tell the number of the background and the number of the crest

Exemple :

3.jpg4.jpg

What do you think, i work on ? Or not useful enough ?

Hello guys I have a set up for pve with my magicka temp he uses 5 julianos, 3 Willpower jewelery, and && 2 piece engine guardian, 2 seducer. He uses 2 1h swords and a destro. I really don't have problems with him in pve. But if you have any ideals of what I should use to optimize performance in the pve area by all means let me know. Although I came for pvp help I am thinking about using clever alchemist and vd all together for pvp will this work and how should I make this. Or do you suggest anything other than this armor for pvp.

P.s. I am thinking about waiting till new dlc drops to see if they are better sets to use. Should I wait or go head and craft this pvp gear

Restore Bracing - Developer Reckoning

@ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_Finn

Bracing is the currently, in my opinion, the best heavy armor passive. I consider it the best passive because it adds a stat that is normally inefficient to add to in an efficient way.

We also have a direct nerf in the form of increased block cost.

In exchange for this, with respect to resources, you have offered an armor trait that lowers the cost of blocking, made a minor change to constitution, and made a minor change to heavy attacks.

I predict that these changes will skew fights even more toward the resource insufficiency of the tanking skill lines.

In the future, suppose that I am attacked once every 1.5 seconds. That is a normal number of times to be attacked by a single enemy. Over 4 seconds I will generate about 700 stamina via constitution. I will also lose about 4300 stamina assuming only that the new and increased block cost is 2300/hit and that I only am receiving block cost mitigation via sword and shield.

Currently, given those same circumstances, but with the current constitution value, current bracing, and current block cost, I'll gain about 250 stamina over 4 seconds and lose about 2900 stamina.

The difference between the circumstances is that, in the future, I will be at a 3600 stamina deficit after 4 seconds and currently I will be at a 2650 stamina deficit after 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, in the future I will have 1000 less stamina than I currently have. Additionally, this disparity is based on a conservative calculation. It is based on a single target fight. Because of losing the best passive ability of heavy armor in exchange for nothing, fights with multiple enemies attacking will cause stamina in the future to suffer at even greater disparity rate than the one that I just calculated based on a single target fight. Things aren't looking pretty.

And let's say that the sturdy trait helps. But at what cost is that help? Well I personally would lose magic regeneration in order to gain block cost mitigation. Let's say that the increase in stamina generated via heavy attacks helps. But at what cost is that help. Less blocking is equal to more dying. We suffer these consequences all for some weapon and spell damage that will ultimately be inconsequential to tanking.

Let's further make the same error that has been made before about tanking being made more easy due to champion points and is therefore needing to be nerfed to remain challenging. Perhaps tanking would be more easy with a grand 50 champion points added (17 of which will be practically useless), but how exactly do tanks become more powerful with champion points when, every time we get champion points, we are drastically nerfed?

You know, I thought that after the official thread dedicated to making tanking better the development team would get it through their thick skulls that tanks are dead tired of micro-managing their stamina. Did anyone ask for you to nerf bracing? To the contrary I've been saying it is the best passive skill for tanks. It is the premier reason to wear heavy armor.

Pardon my brashness, but what the hell are you thinking?

P.S. Nobody wants to do fully charged heavy attacks. Nobody. They aren't fun. Nobody. Normally companies cater to what their base wants. For some reason you didn't get the news letter on that key business practice when it comes to fully charged heavy attacks.

P.P.S. My proposed solution to this new problem that you have created is just to leave bracing alone. I will swallow the increased block cost if you just leave our best passive ability as it is rather than making it amount to a hill of beans.

Edit

P.P.P.S.

"STURDY IN TANDEM WITH FORTRESS GIVES ABOUT 12.5% BLOCK COST MITIGATION INSTEAD OF THE FULL 24% THAT IT PROMISES.

THIS IS IN NO WAY MAKING UP FOR BRACING AND ESPECIALLY NOT SO BECAUSE WE LOSE ALL OF OUR GOOD TRAITS TO USE STURDY. SAD!"

P.P.P.P.S.

If all things stay the same, then DB on live will feel much worse than it does on PTS. The reason for this is because BASE BLOCK COST IS INCREASING, but ON THE PTS BLOCK COST IS THE CURRENT VALUE THAT IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN.

Feelings gained from testing on PTS are basically null and void until we know for sure what the new block cost will be increased to.

P.P.P.P.P.S.

@CreepyPahuska claims to like to do fully charged heavy attacks. When I said that nobody wants to do full charged heavy attacks, I was slightly wrong. My bad.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S.

OLD BLOCK COST @ 58% = Fortress + Bracing + Def Stance

NEW BLOCK COST @ 58% = Fortress + Defensive Stance + 100 Champion Point + 2-3 Sturdy Trait

In exchange for 100 CP and 2-3 Traits, if we get hit a bunch of time, then we get a minimum amount of extra damage that we most likely wont even get to utilize because we are getting hit a bunch of times and need to focus on surviving.

ZOS IS KILLING US ON THESE TRADE DEALS

P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S.

" - The combination of the Fortress and Bracing passive effects are something that I appreciate. I think that development really carefully considered block cost mitigation during its initial creation. It is frustrating that diminished returns severely affects this stat, but these two passives, and especially so in tandem, are what really make sword and board or heavy armor valuable." - Personofsecrets February 2016

P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S.
One Hand and Shield

Fortress: Increased the block cost reduction from this passive ability to 18/36% at Ranks I/II from 15/30%.
Item Traits

Sturdy: Increased the value of the Sturdy trait by 1% at all quality levels. Gold Sturdy-traited gear now gives 4% block cost reduction instead of 3% (As if anyone wants to lose Bracing for this LOL)

Some Words of Advice to New Players

I want to share a few words of advice to those new to ESO.

You play ESO the way you want to. If you wanna just enjoy the story line, go ahead! Want to be an awesome tank/healer/dps and do pledges? Feel free to! If you want to rp or do pvp, that's fine too. There are people who emphasize certain parts of the game, like PvP, but there is no pressure in making you do something.

Find guilds! There are a plethora of guilds with people who can help you. If you like to craft or sell, find a trading guild! There's always something that suites your needs.

Save up 10k gold for a horse! Tamriel is huge, and saving up 10k for a simple horse will definitely help you.

Find friends! You'll often run into kind people in ESO.

And most importantly, have fun. There are people out there who want to ruin other people's good times, but there always way more wanting to help.

PS: You can message me if you need advice or want a friend! I'm on PC on the NA server.

Suggestion for cleanse ( that other purge morph ) (poison )

Right now in pvp people only use efficient purge, despite nerfing its reduced costs in TG since a little heal from the other morph is a joke compared to real heals.
Also another thing is that poison got no counter play, so why not give that other purge morph some kind of cure or resistance against poisons?

What Do You Look Like in Real Life?

So I know that some of the regular posters on the forums stream or make videos, and as a result I know what some of you folks look like in real life, but I thought it might be fun to have a thread where people who want to can show us what you look like in real life. It could be really interesting to see if people look at all like how we picture them!

So anyone who's comfortable with showing the forums a picture of what you really look like, feel free to post it here so we can put a face to the name!

VMA Weekly Score

I just posted a 273k score on the weekly for my sorc to get the weekly reward and I'm currently sitting at 82. Will I most likely get knocked off the weekly in 24hours since that is all that is left?

I was not focused on score so much as I was just trying to complete it!

Also if I die in less than 14 deaths does that multiply the score by a lot? I am dying a lot in there still even with have completing it before but mainly the one thing that is killing me is the lag! I cannot get past certain parts so I just blast through all the sigil's and smoke everything!

I want to be able to have my DK and my SORC both be able to farm the weekly! DK I'm sure is going to be fine with the board I'm just concerned with my sorc score, it's filling up fast in there!

My thoughts on some of the DB changes that are coming.

I've always played magic based classes. I was never a fan of the stamina based classes. Ultimately, my favorite class has always been a Sorcerer / Wizard. These classes have always used the power of magic to destroy their targets. The power of lightning, fire, and invisible forces of magic would help in AOE situations. A Sorc was also the master of single target high burst damage. We would also be able to lock enemies down with the forces of magic. We would have super powerful shields to protect us from certain types of destruction. What ZOS is doing (and has done in the past) to Sorcs just makes zero sense to me. Right now with the changes on PTS, magicka Sorc just isn't a thing anymore. How can a class that has always been super powerful with magic now have to rely on stamina to be worth any kind of usable damage? Why? Who's wonderful ideas are these? What have you done to my favorite class to play? Instead of adding new magic based abilities, you are taking away from what we have and forcing us to use stamina if we want to have decent numbers. I just don't understand it. You are taking the things that make a sorc what it is and just removing our identity. Why? I speak from both a PVP and PVE standpoint. What is going on? It is enough that we are limited in our choices to provide magic based DPS to a fight, and I don't like using Overload for anything more than magicka regen.

You have some great changes coming with the DB DLC. I love the crafting bags. I love the nameplates. The removal of Vet Ranks for those who have multiple characters is good so they don't have to grind as much. I like the changes you have made to the weapon and armor traits. I like the new appearance changes too. Good stuff!

Some of the changes I disagree with:

Let's start with the shields. Not just Sorc shields. A shield that is accessible to everyone.

Harness Magicka: Why did you decide that out of all the skills out there, this skill is the one that should block physical damage too? This is a LIGHT ARMOR skill that is called Harness "MAGICKA". This was a skill used mostly by magic based classes that protected us against magic damage. Why should everyone use a light armor skill to protect from physical damage? Not only have you made a change that makes no sense, but you have taken away a VERY IMPORTANT part of this skill. The ability to effectively use it to protect players against magic based attacks and restore magic. Now with the changes on PTS I have to worry that it will absorb physical damage instead and because of doing so I will not get any magic restored nor be protected from it. What the heck? You did this so everyone can have a shield now? If you want to play a class that has a shield, make a Sorc. Thats it. Why ruin a skill so that everyone can have access to a Sorc based skill. This change should not go through. You are ruining a skill. Please reverse this change. If you absolutely insist that everyone should have a shield, make it a Resto Staff ability. Or how about just stop listening to people who are crying because they don't have a shield like the one that Sorcs have and tell them to just play their class and stop complaining, or create a Sorc if they want one that bad.

The change to the duration of shields is another thing that was taken too far. Once again I feel this is something that was done so the people who don't know how to get through a shield could have a better chance of doing so. How about just learn how to play your class and figure out how to break the shield? The length of time doesn't affect anything really. If you are using shields and relying on them to survive in PVP, you are most likely spamming them anyway and lacking in the DPS department. There are other ways to live. You know, learn your class and what offensive abilities you have to lock down and wear your opponent out. These shortened durations negatively affect the entire PVE side of using them and you are now using more magicka to keep them active because of having to recast them more often.

Sorcs barely have any class based damage abilities that are worth anything. That is why we have the defensive abilities. Skills like Daedric Mines will do little damage but stun the enemy. Rune Cage/Defensive Rune to disorient the enemy. Encase to immobilize the enemy. Hardened Ward - one of the Sorcs best defensive abilities. Now because people complain instead of learning how to play, ZOS has given EVERYONE access to this Sorc based skill. Fine, you want everyone to have a shield like this, don't ruin Harness Magicka and make another skill to do it. More importantly, don't take away from what the Sorc has. A special ability that protected us that no other class had. If everyone is going to have this same skill, make the Sorc version much better. Decrease the time a little bit if you want, but not so extreme. I don't care if the Hardened stacks with the new PTS version of Harness Magicka. I am a Sorc. This is an ability I have always had that other classes did not. It is one of the reasons I chose a Sorc as my main character. I don't want the physical damage protection from the new version of Harness. I want the magic defense from Harness and the physical from Ward. I want longer times on them too, not this new 6 seconds crap.

Harness Magicka is fine the way it is on live. Don't add the physical damage protection and continue to allow everyone to use it with a 26 seconds duration. Hardened Ward should still last 20 seconds and should be a Sorc ability only. If you want a physical damage shield, make a class that has one. If you complain because you can't kill someone with a physical damage shield, learn how to counter it. Don't nerf it.

Not only did the shields get the negative changes, but now our Surge ability got hit with the hammer. Why oh why? Who thought that this ability was overpowered and needed a nerf? This ability should still heal you for 40% of the damage done. You do a lot less damage in PVP, so I don't see it being overpowered there. And It is a skill that I don't even use in PVP. It is something to help us survive in PVE situations. It is another form of one of our defensive skills. Now all of a sudden it is too powerful and needs to change. Who's idea was this and why was this decision made?

Another thing I dislike is the change to Inevitable Detonation. I know that Inev/Proxy was created to break up zergs in PVP. Although I did use the Proxy form of that sometimes in PVP, Proxy was not my normal morph of it, and I know plenty of other people who used Inevitable the same way I did. For the Sorc class which lacks variety in damage abilities, the Inevitable Detonation morph of this skill was something we carried on our skill bar to use as single target burst damage. This was very important for some of us. That burst damage put us a little closer to where a Sorc should be. Now it is changed so that it will hardly do any single target damage at all and will grow in strength with the more people it hits. Ok, that is great! It is good for this skill to scale up and hit harder when there are more people/mobs around it, but do both morphs have to be changed this way? Can you make the change to Proximity Detonation to do this and let us keep Inevitable Detonation as a single target spell that keeps the high single target damage and maybe nerf the added AOE damage? Or even better, create a Sorcerer skill that does this. We should have a burst skill like this in our inventory. Please don't take this skill away from us. Doesn't even have to be a Sorc skill. Make it an everyone skill. I just don't want to lose it.

ZOS please stop ruining our class. If you want to play a stamina class, make a stamina class. Sorcs have always been magicka. Or how about you create new classes instead of changing the current ones? The only reason Sorcs have stamina based skills in ESO is because there are only 4 classes in this game. Stop harassing the classes and make something new.

I'm sure there are many people who are pleased to see the new poisons added to the game. I am not one of them, but nothing I can do about that. I will just have to learn to adapt. I would rather you just made a new class that was more poison based instead of making it something that I have to deal with against everyone in PVP now. And the whole 60% damage thing... I have no words. I don't want to use it in PVE to up my Sorc DPS. I want Sorc skills to do that. I don't care for the new poisons.

I want the old Surge back.

I want the old Harness Magicka back.

I want Hardened Ward to be a special ability that Sorcs have and I want it to still last for 20 seconds.

I want Inevitable Detonation or something like it that will still do the high single target damage.

I don't want to play stamina.

Most of all, I want to enjoy playing this game on the class that I've always played. You are taking all the enjoyment away from me, ZOS. Please please please communicate better with your player base and make us feel as though you appreciate us and respect us instead of making us feel that you could care less about us. I have been a paying subscriber since February of 2014. I have over 136 days /played on my Sorc and near 16,000 achievement points. I love this game. I have dealt with a bunch of changes, both negative and positive, but the changes that are coming with DB are something that might just finally make me unsubscribe for good. I'm already pretty bored with the game. I was looking forward to the added content and new changes so I could feel refreshed, but got a real wakeup call when I saw some of the things you had planned for us. Please don't make me leave. I really like it here.

Hello,

I'm embarrassed to say, I'm having a lot of trouble in ESO's early PvE content. I'm dying much more easily and often than in other MMO's, even those with action combat. I've been trying to play a sword and board melee type, since I can block OK but kind of suck at dodging.

Anyway, what are the best, "easy-mode" options for someone like me? Maybe a Sorcerer who uses a pet to tank? Maybe a Templar who can self-heal? Like I mentioned, I'm much better off playing a toon that's going to block rather than move around and dodge.

Thanks for any help!

Why am i moveing in slowmotion?

Hello everyone! On 5/21/16 9pm est we will be having a GvG on Haduras! We will be making a guild for all the leaders to get into that way we can say whos up next and what not quickly!
RULES AND STUFF

Camps I assume you will be having more then 12 attending the event to watch and cheer on your fellow guild friends. They will be doing the rezzing instead of camps! That way our location isnt out to everyone on the factions. This will help with the pugs showing up and ruining the event. Ant extra people go on the field the fight will be halted quickly. Then we will all zerg down that one person. Only time to use camps is if judges say so

Group size It will be 12v12 just like last time. You may choose what to have in group as far as class and whatever. No restrictions! If a guild shows up with less then 8 we will try to get you guys in. The 12v12 will be priority though when it comes to matches

Fighting We will be having two game modes! One will have rezzing and two wont! Also under no circumstances will there BE SIEGE! NONE! NADA! thank you :) Pots will be allowed! As far as starting with ults are yet to be decided!

Judges? There will be one helping out during each fight making sure nobody rez's.... I think thats it. May need more volunteers for help! Pst me!

EMP As far as emperor goes. If one is crowned day of or during we will continue the fighting. Its really not that big of a boost i think and will make the fights more fun. If scrolls are taken then maybe we can go for them. This will be decided by all Groups lead prior to the event. Nobody can stop pugs pushing for it.

Rematch! If a guild requests a rematch with another guild we will put it on the list to make it happen. This all depends on if we have time or not.
