Stamsorc VMA help PLEASE!! Build advice? CP398
I've been working hard to put together a build for VMA. I was wondering what more should I do. my gear. I realize the most common theme here is time in VMA will make me better, but I'd love to improve my build more to make things a little easier. I'm at 398CP, I could also use some help with CP placement for optimal performance. I currently run 5 nmg and 5 Leviathan for crit, Velidreth x2, and use the shadow mundus because Leviathan gives me almost all crit.

Camera starts to spin
Hello!
Whenever I press the "?\ß" key on my keyboard (a german keyboard) my cursor switched to my normal cursor instead of the ESO one and when i move it a little bit, the camera spins like crazy.
I tried to fix it but nothing happened. It was fine for a day and then started again...
Has anybody encountered the same? And how did you fix it?

You guys broke your RNG machine or forgot to turn it on
I dont understand why even paying ESO+ members have to suffer through endless gates just for the items they want (rng).
I have missed an entire cycle of Cyrodiil because I am trying to get a sharpened spellweave inferno staff and I dont undertand why I can have a bank full of embershield and sunderflame sharpened weapons, yet not a single bsw staff. I have run CoA with groups and solo over 250 times now, this is the definition of ridiculous.
I mean for crying out loud if you want to gate DLC gear behind a paywall then cool, but can the non dlc dungeon gear be swapped to BoE at least? Or bring the other traits up to par, tone down sharpened...whatever. BSW is a great performing set, but I am missing out on the content I WANT to play trying to gear for it. And FFS, what happened to putting crafters at the center of this economy? This wouldnt even be an issue if there were desirable crafted sets....
I mean BoE is a hard counter to RNG, why cant you allow those lucky enough to get a sharp staff the option to sell or trade it? I am positive there are players here with one rotting in their banks....
edit- i want to clarify that the drop rate is way too low. farming sets is an MMO experience. I get it, but after 250 runs.....comon

Non Meta Magblade Emperor
A video of my first time getting emp on a melee magblade, no cheese included not even monster sets & everything is crafted besides jewelry. I know there's people that feel magblades are in a bad spot especially melee blades but I wanted to go against that. Got emperor after about a week of playing this guy in the most populated campaign & put up about 3mill solo before getting emp in a 7 day. Sounds crazy but it happened lol
Keep in mind this is mostly a gank build that I took into open world for 1vx purposes, this guy hits like a truck, in the first part of the video you'll see a 15k concealed weapon lol this is basically solo emp play as well. I couldn't upload it to YouTube for some reason, sorry about the link.

Maelstrom Arena Bug
I tried searching google for this but I couldn't find anything.
My friend and I keep disconnecting/DCing on stage 6 of Maelstrom for some time now. It may have started when we got PlayStation Pro, but it's hard to say. My friend gets disconnected going through the portal for stage 6 or after completing stage 6 and going through to stage 7.
I consistently get a blue screen on stage 6 of round 2 and it always results in a death for me when I get back in there. This is getting really frustrating for us and we're hoping ZOS is aware of the issue so this can be fixed.
Is anyone else experiencing this bug and have you found a way to avoid it until (if ever) it gets patched?

Bravil, player created content, expanding DB and TG usefulness, Homestead crafting PvP, espianage
Bravil is the incomplete city in the far southeast of Cyrodiil.
![Screenshot_20140531_173741.png]()
Image is from @Magister_Aena 's epic post of long ago.
Clearly I'm not alone in my initial reaction to crafting - I immediately started building towers into the sky and my own buildings and such. Also, people in Cyrodiil can't port directly to their houses in the non-PvP portion of Tamriel. Luckily, there's a whole unused city in Cyrodiil.
The furniture crafting and the housing editor could be an easy lead-in to a PvP crafting expansion. You can buy a space in your Alliance sanctuary under some burned out hovel in Bravil. Inside is just a blank template. There's a furniture type for making walls and such to create your own personal delve. Other furniture for a PvP crafting expansion could include:
This could easily expand the crafters' arts and things they could sell. Enchanted rune traps to place on the ground, alchemical poisons and burning pitch, ballistae and bear traps and guillotines.
![latest?cb=20060815210730]()
Bravil, like the rest of Cyrodiil, would be open world PvP (for non-disguised, Alliance-flagged characters) but on a much smaller scale and with somewhat improved opportunities for sneaking around for those rouges and Dark Brotherhood enthusiasts. The Blade of Woe would work against players, as would pickpocketing, using alternate mechanics described later. Which leads me to:
A new form of treasure point system with which you can entice people into your personal dungeon. There would be an award for making it through. This would also be lootable in the overworld part of Bravil. Perhaps not a zero sum type system like the IC but a reward nonetheless. The drawback would be a sort of "heat" like in the Justice system. This would increase the reward for someone else coming and assassinating you. When you are present in your Bravil abode this would be visible to those who have sufficient espionage points saved up, and can be spent to send you an in-game notify when someone has entered their domicile.
The espionage system would be one of the main reasons for sneaking around Bravil. While sufficiently disguised and lacking in "heat" that makes you disreputable your Alliance does not appear to other players, and you can use a temporary name. These nameplates and costumes would also be craftables. The purpose is twofold. First is to ascertain when someone is or is not present in their abode in Bravil and also to be able to see where they are in Cyrodiil, much as a group leader's Crown shows up on the map and on your compass. Depending on your skill and the intelligence you've received the radius could be different, from pinpointing an enemy's location to a rather vague and large radius circle. You could possibly tell if this person is in a Group, whether they are the leader, how many people are in said group, and how many people in that group are in your vicinity. This obviously would have a limited duration or number of uses. The way this intelligence would be earned is through spying on the subject in their domicile, especially getting into Blade of Woe range but using a different intractable option, not actually killing them. Whereupon it'd be pretty obvious who was spying on them. This could potentially require quite a lot of time, patience and work getting through their custom-made maze of platform levels, traps and guardians. Making it through someone's defenses could also reveal to you who is actually under their Bravil alias and costume. Note that these disguises would also work in the rest of Cyrodiil.
Once you have pierced their alias you could potentially spy upon their actual words in chat from the endpoint of their personal dungeon. The person being spied upon would get a notification of sparkles and an eerie sound letting them know that their communications are compromised - but not by whom.
Of course there would be counter-espionage to ascertain the identities and pierce the aliases of those spying upon you, and bounty quests to hunt them down, remove their disguise and/or get revenge.
Since people would likely be incognito in Bravil there wouldn't really be open inter-faction fighting as one's Alliance would be obfuscated, but non-Alliance flagged person's fights would work like a duel, with someone merely running away partially degrading their disguises' integrity, potentially requiring them to stay into the shadows until they're able to restore its potency. Anyone boldy wandering in with their real identity and Alliance showing would be fair game in open world PvP just like anywhere else in Cyrodiil.
Bravil would be split into three zones with targets capturable only by subterfuge and sneaking around while in disguise, trying to make it past actual player guards. Leaving your faction open to spying only makes it easier for that Alliance to perform espionage upon you all. Catching a person would ruin that particular alias and disguise, if you're able to do sufficient damage to them before they can escape. But if they make it through the gantlet they can give their alliance a big bonus.
Also, if the player is able to make it that far in their espionage and make it back out and return to their own Alliance's corresponding target they can make off with the day's "password." This password would allow them access to a Keep right through one of the normal doors, prevent the NPCs from aggroing, and if they are able to "capture" the flag therein they can open the door to their allies who can then attempt to storm the inner postern without all the fuss of sieging down an outer wall.
Of course, this player-made content system using the homestead and furniture crafting systems could equally be used by PvE people to make their own dungeons, as we would all likely love to do. That would require a sort of "beat my dungeon" quest givable by the owner which would be zero sum, with an award publicly posted (even if by invite only) to prevent exploiting/farming the system. The whole thing hinges on the owner betting against those who enter their abode being able to get their prize or points which they accrue, so that multi-Alliance characters can't simply exploit it for one Alliance or another... unless they're willing to personally pay. These results would be public, however, so weakening your own alliance could easily end up with your own allies turning against you and hunting you down in your own abode, thus diminishing your ability to so easily give up their secrets!
Since this would obviously be instanced just like housing, a list of owners/owner aliases and current rewards offered to those who can make it through that particular gamut could be accessed via a menu through the Consigliere NPC for PvP instances and Concierge for PvE instances. The owner can set their gamut to whichever they'd like. Various normal types of furniture could also be lootable by visitors just like those in the Justice system, though perhaps with a Bravil-themed mechanic, accruing espionage intelligence points, legerdemain buff items or even Bravil-type craftable materials for making your own traps and such.
This would have really benefited from their being Guild headquarters in the housing system. We shall see if that's ever implemented.
One thing I noted in the PTS forum is that, even during a duel, the owner or those with sufficient privileges can use the Housing Editor in real time. That means that someone who is actively defending their home could really make it difficult should they suspect someone is around. Repositioning guards and sentinels and traps could make things very difficult for an intruder! Setting off an alarm would alert the owner to an intruder but not necessarily allow them to detect you. You may, however, end up with a bunch of their friends flooding in and searching for you! This live editing would require that fair "pathing" be maintained through the abode, otherwise someone could simply create a series of platforms you could jump across but then break the pathing and make it impossible to progress. Then again, being an intruder gives you some editing privileges for some types of items you can reposition them. If you find a tapestry covering a secret door just mvoe it aside. If you need to leap over some wall just move some boxes around and climb up. Of course, this is visible to anyone patrolling the area so you have to be sneaky. And hope no one is in the shadows watching you.

- Traps such as those found in Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests (and against which those sets with the awful buff against Traps work)
- Dwemer automata as guardians, parts obtained from the Halls of Fabrication
- Warden-tamed beasties to fill out your dungeon
- Siege weapons for your friends or guildies to man
- Aliases and disguises
This could easily expand the crafters' arts and things they could sell. Enchanted rune traps to place on the ground, alchemical poisons and burning pitch, ballistae and bear traps and guillotines.
Bravil is built on a hill that's located on the Niben Bay and the Larsius River. There is only one entrance to the city that being in the northern end of the city. The city is divided three ways by a ravine that goes through the city. The northern side is where the guilds, chapel, residents, and a couple inns are located the southern side is where one inn and one home are located. The eastern side is where the castle is located. In the middle of the city is the Lucky Old Lady Statue is located.

Beneath the statue resides a crypt for one woman and five children. The remains belong to the Night Mother, the unholy matron of the Dark Brotherhood. Because of this, some have claimed that she and the Lucky Old Lady were the same person. However, sources claim the Night Mother lived during the Second Era, serving as both a member of the Thieves Guild and the Morag Tong.

Addon idea and request
Hi team,
We have the Itemization Browser add-on but would like to see if someone can create something similar for Achievement and/or Unique Furnishings from each zone/merchant.
Might be an idea or a project for someone.

Why did you change the lighting?
I used to love how the lights and lamps lit up the room during the night when I placed them out in the house. But now, for some reason when I try the PTS out again the lightning has changed. And only lit up now if you are close to the candles or lightsorce in question? This is really offputting for me as I want my house to be super light all the time. This darkness in here is just making me feel really annoyed and just makes me want to turn up the gamma on my screen just to be able to see things clearly, instead of what I did before and put out alot of cozy candles and hanging lamps to light up the entire room. I loved it before that you could turn on and off the lights as you wanted. But now it only lits up when you are close. Please change it back to how it used to be
I really loved it. Otherwise I don't feel there is any use to have candles or anything around. Might aswell wait until the day comes back.

Why are the Alik'r Desert Dolmen so popular?
These seem to be more popular than any other dolmen in any of the other lands I've been in. Also, the two I've found so far are the first time I know for a fact I've seen bots. The last one I did had about a half dozen dead players and one guy just shooting off his flame staff every second even though nothing was happening (figured that was the bot). I've been to others where it was either just me doing them or me and one or two other people. I really don't understand it. Is there some special piece of equipment that's supposed to drop there that I don't know about?

Introduction to PvE damage calculation (Homestead)
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
A special thank you to all addon developers that have both significantly improved the quality of my gaming life as well as allowing me the opportunity to reverse engineer game mechanics. In particular, Combat Log Statistics by @zeakfury and Combat Metrics by @decay have been instrumental for the majority of my testing. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to the community for the kind words, encouragement and valuable discussions.
CONTENTS
INTRODUCTION
This post is divided into three main sections: Damage Equations, Analytical Results and Numerical Results.
Damage Equations covers the majority of equations needed to accurate calculate damage. It is my impression that the majority of these are readily recognisable by the community so my exposition of it will be brief. In addition, the Unofficial Elder Scroll pages boast a comprehensive build editor that not only calculates statistics for virtually all gear combinations it also clearly and tidily demonstrates the underlying equations used.
Optimisation decisions based of the Damage Equations are covered in Analytical Results. These include champion point optimisation, mundus optimisation, armour trait optimisation and weapon trait optimisation.
While the Analytical Results provide some insight into damage optimisation, some optimisation questions are rather arduous to answer, in particular the impact of proc sets on damage. One approach is with a geometric distribution but this only models the average behaviour and leaves much to be desired. Numerical Results summarises some of my combat simulation findings.
While I will rely on magicka sorcerers for the bulk of my examples, most of the concepts apply equally to other classes.

Whats the point anymore?
I just do not have the patience to have to deal with spies everywhere, you cannot even coordinate in zone chat, you cannot even trust everyone in your own guild, and I cannot think of a way zos can remedy this, this just makes me not want to pvp at all. How do you guys deal with it?
