PTS Update 19 - Feedback Thread for March of Sacrifices

This is the official feedback thread for March of Sacrifices. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • Did you enjoy this new dungeon?
  • How did the difficulty compare to existing dungeons on Normal and Veteran versions?
  • Did you complete Normal or Veteran (or both)?

How many meta race players have you heard saying this?

My solution:

Remove the current racial passives entirely. The only racial passive we should have is the inherent racial passive, like the 1% AP bonus gain from breton, 1% gold bonus gain from imperials, and so on, because passives creates an imbalance, a go-to race, lack of freedom. Statiscally, high elves outnumbers every other race. I'm imperial sorc, my passives tells me that I had a heavy training as a warrior. Well, I haven't. I'm a mage, I didn't train to be a warrior.

Instead of the current passives, we should have a tab called "Specialization", between skill and champion tree tab, where we set our specialization and chose what we would like to raise: max magicka or max stamina for base energy resource (pick one), pick one defensive passive (max hp, spell/physical resistance, crit resist?, healing received, and so on), 1 recovery passive (like, magicka recovery, health recovery, decreased cost of stamina or magicka ability passive, and so on), offensive passive (spell/physical dmg, spell/physical crit, spell/phys. penetration, healing done), always picking one from each.

This covers everything, free us from bouding to races that we don't like, and actually would release us to be 100% better.

2nd solution idea that is out there: Birthsigns instead of racial passives.

Hi, I am from India and I play on PC-EU. I want to complete DLC vet trials like vMoL, vHof, vAS etc but due to my different time zone I am not able to attend them. So, I am looking for players from similar time zone to play with and complete end game trials. I know few other Indians in the game but we need more players to form a guild. We mainly like doing PVE content like pledges, trials etc but we visit cyrodil every now and then too. If anyone is interested in joining us then you can contact me in game. My userID is @Kazuya12.

How you guys at ZOS can even THINK about releasing new dlc with the current state of the game with the freezes and god awful broken sets IS A JOKE. Priority is fix the game. Pvp is unplayable as soon as more than 10 people enter my screen. I turn up at a keep to defend, freeze. I accidentally run past a large group of players, they engage, I freeze. FFS it’s broken, so by all means keep taking our money, I enjoy the new content but not when the base game is BROKEN. Rant over. Fix the fudging game.

I suggest that,

*to be able to TRANSMUTE item it should require 25 Transmute Cyrstal NOT 50 ( really get bored to farm i wanna play the game) (Player from BETA)
Pls dont say make pvp make undaunted. (im not a hardcore player just casual after work)
*They should stack 300
*Transmute Geodes should also STACK in Inventory

As the tittle says there are some races like nord whose passives are pretty useless, making them unworthy to play with; as i suggested at this topic https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/425589/some-changes-id-like-to-see-in-a-future-update-races#latest, would be nice to see a change like that at least in the PTS server to test it
I also copy here the racial changes that I wrote in that topic:

Imperial: Its pasives has been redesigned.
OLD:
- Tough 1/2/3: Increases Max Health by 4%/8%/12%
- Conditioning 1/2/3: Increases Max Stamina by 4%/7%/10%
- Red Diamond 1/2/3: Give your melee attacks a 10% change to restore 174/349/524 Health

NEW:
- Tough 1/2/3: Increases Max Health by 4%/8%/12%
- Dynamic 1/2/3: Increases Max Stamina by 4%/5%/6% and Max Magicka by 4%/5%/6%
- Red Diamond 1/2/3: Reduce the Stamina and Magicka cost of your habilities by 1%/2%/3%


Nord: Its pasives has been redesigned.
OLD:
- Stalwart 1/2/3: Increases Max Stamina by 2%/4%/6% and Health Recovery by 6%/13%/20%
- Resist Frost 1/2/3: Increases Max Health by 3%/6%/9% and Cold Resistance by 693/1386/2079
- Rugged 1/2/3: Reduces incoming damage by 2%/4%/6%

NEW:
- Endurable 1/2/3: Increases Max Stamina by 2%/4%/6% and Stamina Recovery by 3%/6%/9%
- Adamant 1/2/3: Increases Max Health by 3%/6%/9% and Health Recovery by 6%/13%/20%
- Rugged 1/2/3: Increases your Physical and Spell Resistance by 1320/2640/3960


Breton: Magicka Mastery pasive has been improved and Spell Resistance pasive has been reworked.
OLD:
- Gift of Magnus: Increases Max Magicka by 4%/7%/10%
- Spell Resistance: Increases your Spell Resistance by 1320/2640/3960
- Magicka Mastery: Reduce the Magicka cost of your spells by 1%/2%/3%

NEW:
- Gift of Magnus: Increases Max Magicka by 4%/7%/10%
- Spell Resistance: Increases your Spell Resistance by 693/1386/2079. When you take Magic damage you restore 150/290/410 Magicka. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds
- Magicka Mastery: Reduce the Magicka cost of your spells by 3%/4%/5%

Would adding a werewolf toggle be better OR would it be better if while you were in werewolf form you are able to generate ultimate to transform again immediately once it ends.

I've been pugging a lot of the original trials recently since rolling a stam sorc and wanting vo pieces (used to give them away go figure). Anyways they are so monotonous, same group set ups, same procedure again and again etc etc
Its cool that even pugging they are easy enough to do and get the items I want but given one of the ideas of ESO was play how you want, it's a shame that trials have devolved to the same formula every time, albeit the easiest fastest completion way.
Anyways just for a laugh how would this type of scenario play out.
1 tank + 11 dual pet sorcs. Everyone goes for max magicka builds so they have access to insane spammable shields, throw in a few sets which give 12 man buffs, everyone runs restoration staffs to flood the area with heals and basically let the 22 pets plus say 11 atronachs do the actual ground work, sounds crazy and might be slow going but would any of the trials actually be completable using this method do you think?

the least mentioned problem of pvp

I would love to see an Goblin race added and a Shaman class added.
This has been one of my favorite combinations in past MMOs.

So past few days I decided to start going on my healer toon, trying to get as many crystals as I possibly can to finish my PVE DPS build. I've came to the realization that most peoples DPS is damn near non-existent. As a DPS even a low cp20 dps without any AOE can manage to be pulled through on my back, I mean it's not like every dungeon requires 4 people to complete on vet, at least not the vanilla ones. So I never had an issue with people, I would never vote kick people out unless they were intentionally stupid. However now my minds changed, I'm absolutely fed up with it.

For the third day in a row on my healer, I get put into a veteran group with terrible DPS. One day despite maintaining minor berserk, minor and major resolve/ward, and keeping major breach applied all damn near 24/7, I was told I'm useless. The DPS was absolutely terrible despite me doing my best to keep their resources up, and keep the buffs/debuffs up, all while healing these people. The tank is doing absolutely nothing but standing there occasionally applying taunt, the DPS is spamming light attacks, and I'm told I'm useless. I don't have to say, I left that group I wasn't going to be criticized by a bunch of casuals who have little to no understanding of how the game work, I even went out of my way to explain to the DPS they needed an AOE ability, tried to explain to the Tank he had to aggro ads, did my absolute best to keep group alive yet I'm useless because "they didn't need heals".

Now today, another terrible group. DPS does literally no AOE, most likely pulling under 10k single target, they appear to have no rotation, they're not maintaining DoTs or buffs/debuffs. I'm sitting here watching these people play and just hoping to god they'll figure it out and pull in more DPS. They were both above cp160 this time, in fact one was near max level. Yet the DPS was still terrible, even if one DPS was somewhat competent at their role it would have been much faster, yet it wasn't. It was like the DPS were two brand new players with no idea what they're doing, they're struggling to cut down trash mobs, and on the final boss of banished cells they aren't listening to me about the bubbles, they keep killing the ads and when they dont kill the ads they let too many pile up, the tank is bringing the ads near the boss and letting a few run off. The DPS is so minuscule I as a WARDEN HEALER am the one having to destroy the orbs because their DPS is so *** low they couldn't even prevent the boss from healing.

It's an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to roll as anything BUT a DPS now in days. Now I've always been the guy to go after whoever was slandering the baggage in the group. In fact as my main DPS the other day I had a cp20 dps with me who was doing no DPS at all, and he ended up getting locked out the final boss so I completed it myself with the tank and healer. They wanted to kick the guy for not knowing what hes doing and having low dps, but I defended him and gave him a basic rundown. But now, I'm tired of it. No more Mr. NicePUG. The past three days I've been put into a group with a bad DPS on my healer. And I'm not having it anymore, I understand 100% why people vote low levels and low DPS bad roles. It's because of the people I've been having to deal with these past few days. I'm aware there are low CP DPS that are actually competent and can pull out as much DPS as their gear will allow them to. But guess what? I'm not risking ti anymore, I'm not going to waste 30mins to an hour on a group that struggled to cut down trash mobs or follow basic mechanics.

So now, if you're a low CP, or just bad at the game in general and we're que'd together, I'm kicking you. If the group doesn't want to kick you then I'm finding a new one. If the entire group is bad/low CP, then I'm finding a new one. I'll wait my 15 minutes for a reque because YOU'LL still be on the first trash mob within that time frame. If people want to come onto the forums and *** and complain about being kicked from a group because they're a khajiit mage, low CP. or bad at the game then how about getting good, leveling up, and not using a *** build? It's really not hard, you can pull a bare minimum of 20k DPS with any class at any level. The only excuse is incompetence, there are plenty of public builds to base on one. There is plenty of information on how to pull more DPS. A tank or healer, they don't even have to help the group to finish a dungeon, sure it's extremely helpful to contribute resources and keep buffs/debuffs, but is it really needed? No. A DPS however, guess what if you can't do AOE damage it's not going to work. If you can pull a minuscule 20k single target dps, it's not going to work. Go role as a Healer or a Tank and get good at that, you'll get a group faster and you'll save people like me from having our time wasted on you not knowing how to play your role properly. The DPS in this game is the hardest role, a healer/tank can run through a dungeon just as quickly as a really good healer/tank, but a bad DPS cannot even compete with a good DPS. So please, if you're one of these people and reading this, LEARN TO DPS, get a build that you can at least pull 20k. You can even go around grabbing random sets and you'll manage to be a tolerable DPS. Just for the love of god stop this low DPS arguably FAKE DPS *** in ques.

When I'm the person of all people saying this, you know there's a problem.


Update: People who are missing the point here, this is a justification for why so called "elitists" do things such as kicking low CP players. The vast majority cause scenarios as stated above, after getting tired of this constantly happening I've decided that I too will do what many would consider "elitist" action. I'm not saying everyone should have the same build, im not saying you need to be max CP. I'm simply making the point due to the abundance of low CP and even medium CP players performing so poorly some vet dungeons are quite literally impossible, I'm personally going to kick/leave groups with bad and or low CP players. I'm expressing the fact I understand the perspective of your so called elitists, I used to be totally against it. However as I said, due to the abundance of people who just perform adequately enough, you will be kicked. The reason WHY these players and now myself will kick you is because of the majority of players at your level perform poorly. There is no reason to risk a dungeon wipe, and keep good DPS out of the que waiting for dozens of minutes to get into one despite it only going to take them a few minutes to complete the dungeon. If you can't learn, or put the time and effort into getting better, then you don't deserve that DPS spot. There are plenty of average to moderately good players who want that spot you're holding up. We have normal/vet dungeons for a reason, if you're constantly holding pugs back or getting wiped/kicked because of your lack of dps, then you are the one who is being the *** here. I've defended a lot of people and pulled them through on my back, but when it repeatedly happens there is only so much blame the person kicking them can take. The person who isn't performing well enough has to accept the blame at some point. You can't keep stealing money from your parents as a child, eventually you have to fess up and accept your fault. A great quote some of you may not know of: "If you make a mistake, if you understand why it was a mistake, it can always be fixed."

No changes to shieldbreaker?

Since we have more and more oblivion damage in the game (sload, knight slayer, oblivion enchants with infused and torugs) can we rewrok shieldbreaker already? I mean like what the ... is this? 100% guaranteed 2k oblivion damage without cool down on light attack that can be spammed without any costs 2 times/s? Seems legit to me.

If it goes to me 2s cool down would be enough to leave it useful but not max cheese.

Or can we have exactly the same set but called block breaker and another one roll breaker?

If you run a small group, solo, run a medium group we need you in a Shor. I’m not talking about weekend spill over from Vivec, but people who legit want to play regularly on weekdays even if it’s just two or three nights. I’ve talked with some EP players who believe the campaign is healthy and balanced even though EP currently has over 8k pts and AD sits at around 3k, DC currently over 6k due to some guilds coming over from Vivec occasionally. It was extremely refreshing to see some AD on earlier. I wish I had the time to put into running a consistent group, but unfortunately we need multiple people to come together to improve the population balance especially on AD. We lost some good people/guilds in recent weeks and it would be great to see Shor come back to what is was starting to become.

I really like prisoner style shoes and would like to have them in my main's outfit. But to get it you must "reach level 40", which however does not work for older characters which already were past level 40 at the moment of outfits introduction. I play with only one character and I really hate the idea to grind up to level 40 with some alt I don't give a damn about just to unlock this single style. I _already have_ level 40 character, so why the outfit is not given to such accounts?
