Was just curious. I can't find any information...

Does PTS provide any insight in to how big it might be? I didn't take part.

TIA

Character model issue when opening enchanting table. Foot Inverse Kinematics. See screenshots.

I hadn't noticed this before so it may be a fluke but when I'm opening the enchanting table my right leg is bending at bizarre angles. It only lasts a second as the camera is swinging around. I *think* this might have to do with the Foot Inverse Kinematics that I have enabled. Here are a couple screenshots. Thank you.

Why are Bretons so short in stature

Breton, aka manmer (Aldmeri-Nedes) are the descendents of Direnni and Nedes, both tall and imposing races. So why are Bretons so small in comparison?

We already had dual 1vs1 in ESO. What about Group vs Group. I think this Idea will help house system become our own arena. It will be alot of chaos and fun. And Zos can make it real tomorow if they want. What do you guy think ?

Best race for Magplar with imminent race changes?

With the imminent race changes that are due out soon, what do u all reckon will be the 'best' race for Magplars in PvP? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts and opinions.

Magika or stamina, why not both?

In ESO it seems that to be an adequate dps role yiu have to max either magika or stamina depending on what kind of damage you wish to do. ESO was advertised that you could build your character anyway you want and still be successful in the game. But the game in reality is set up where you have to select a specifc type of build to be successful at niche and general roles. I see this as troubling.
Why can’t we be just as effective in stamina as we are in magika. Why do we have to sacrifice on resource to get better results on another?

Daggers should drop in pairs

I have been farming for 2 different sets from dungeons and have yet to find a single dagger. It makes me wonder if I will ever complete those sets since I will need 2 daggers for my dual wield character. Wouldn’t it make more sense for them to drop in pairs?

Of Wolf and Raven - A casual, solo friendly guild. Beginners and Veterans welcome!

Hi all! My name is RavenSworn, have been playing since beta started and loving this game so far!

I remembered the first few months of trying out the game, finding out how some of the mechanics work and so on. It was frustrating and I thought I would like to start a guild that focuses on new players or even returning players alike and help them gain some traction with the game play and such. It's my aim to help out these players and I would love to include those solo players that might need help once in a while with questing, grinding or what not.

I am also looking for veteran / new players to join us and help out with guild events or just managing some of the events planned out. We would appreciate and strongly recommend that you have Discord so as to keep up with our guild communications. Check out our discord servers and do drop by to ask around for more info. The servers are https://discord.gg/TUQYJxt . Dont worry if you can't VC with us, we are more then happy to welcome you to the guild!

There are many events that I am planning for the coming year with new dlcs so do drop me a pm, or a mail in the forums or ingame for an invite! Hope to see you in Tamriel and luck on your battles!

UPDATE *we have reached 400+members! We are looking for late night US based players or Oceanic players. Most of our players are playing in the EST/PST timezone so it would be awesome if we can get more late nighters, morning rushers or Oceanic / Aus players looking to find a home.

Tell me about Craglorn.

This area has confused me for a while. So I'd like to ask some questions.

-What character level is Craglorn built for?

-Is it all group content, or can things like overland be done solo? (At the intended level)

How does one actually enter Craglorn if they haven't unlocked wayshrines/ported to group member?

Thanks in advance! ^_^

If you're interested and want to know more, feel free to contact our GM @Veritablebijar or our officers @Mrslizardface , @Gariele .and @kefjo

Wood Elf/ Bosmer losing stealth passive, An open letter.

$

Wood Elves have always been a stealth based race and the main reason to choose these tiny characters is their innate stealth. PVE enemies in this game do not hide, so changing these characters to detect hidden enemies removes an enjoyable and realistic game mechanic and provides no benefit.

I have given feedback regarding the proposed change to this passive here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/453572/bosmer-racial-change-that-is-illogical-and-unnecessary/p1
And I have polled the forum with the conclusion that no one uses stealth detection in pve here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/458818/do-you-use-stealth-detect-in-pve/p1

Firstly, Wood Elves have always had a head-start bonus to the stealth attribute for the past 5 Elder Scrolls titles. In 3 of those titles, they had a greater bonus to sneaking than any other race. For 5 years in TESO we have used this passive to great effect in all game modes. It is a valuable passive as evidenced by: the continuation (and even improvement) of stealth for Khajiits; two zone DLCs that benefit from this passive; trial and dungeon mechanics that take advantage of being in stealth; and the number of dismayed replies on your official forums.

In the developer notes it states that “many enemies in Tamriel can’t be bothered sneaking about!” The conclusion to replace it with 3 meter stealth detection is a contradiction because if enemies can’t be bothered to stealth, then we don’t need to detect stealth enemies. There isn’t any pve content available in the game that uses stealth detection. In pvp, 3 meters is actually a negligible amount of stealth detection because of how pvp is currently played. Stealth is used from a distance in order to stack bonuses from the Bow skill line. Stealth in melee range, at the pace of the current pvp climate, requires a skill (Vampire or Nightblade) or a potion. Being able to detect within 3 meters is not enough time to even block before a blow from stealth. “Gankers” will not disappear with the removal of this Wood Elf passive, they will just switch to Khajiit for the crits.

The identity of this race, from the first game, have been stealthy archers and thieves. It needs to remain an innate ability of the smallest race in the game to hide better than the largest. Moving this out of the racial passive and into another skill line is not a solution because a large character, such as a Nord, is realistically not as sneaky as the smallest characters. This change goes against the original vision, the established precedent, in-universe realism, and the lore within the game itself. The point of choosing the smallest character model in the game is that it’s better at hiding.

Regarding your dev note, “Previously this passive was shared between Khajiit and Wood Elf, and didn’t help them feel distinct enough from each other.“ Players expect that the smallest characters are the sneakiest, and the effort to make this minor distinction is not worth the cost of removing the main appeal of choosing Wood Elf. Khajiit and Wood Elf are already distinct enough from each other, in physical design and fighting style.

Please, reconsider this change. Stealthiness is THE identifying attribute to this race. The proposed change to this passive is disruptive and counterintuitive. Wood Elf hiding ability has been an established precedent for all 5 TES games and the past 5 years in this game.

Miredrum and Vossa-Satl Mementos Disappointing: Change to Looping Emotes?

$

If any of you are like me, you might stop in Murkmire from time to time to listen to the Vossa-Satl players in Lilmoth or Bright-Throat village, or the miredrum player in Dead-Water village. You might think the beat was a little catchy, and thought It'd be fun to play those at guild gatherings or the like. The Xanmeer crown crates granted that wish... or did they? The mementos do not play the actual songs of bards; the Satl memento plays randomized notes, and the miredrum has a slower, less energetic tempo. This in itself is not horrible, but the worst part by far is how short-lived the mementos are; offering play times of only five seconds or so. So I ask you, players. What do you want out of the Miredrum and Vossa-Satl? Keep them as short-lived mementos, or turn them into proper instrument emotes? Let Zenimax know your thoughts.

Werewolf Theorycrafting (PvP)

This thread was created to work as a source of inspiration for anyone who want to get the most out of their werewolf character in PvP. The thread got more attention (both good and bad) than I expected. From the start the initial post was made with a few questions in mind in order to get a discussion going. From now on the initial post will be updated with the findings of this thread and act as a summarize.

Is Stamina Sorc Decent for Soloing?

$

I know any and all classes can solo. I'm looking for a melee / bow class that is decent on moving around and can get the job done and sustain itself without having to worry about health after each fight or worse yet take a long time to take down mobs.

This is not suppose to be for special trials, etc end game but really just fun character that is bow / melee based.

I was considering Red Guard but not sure if that will have a impact come Monday or they considered still better race for Stamina based classes?

If you have another class/race mix suggestion I love to hear it. From my Understanding though the Stam Sorc is one the better melee/bow classes but if there is better I love to hear it.

If there is a easier one to play I also like to hear it. I mean the game does not have that many buttons to begin with but I actually like boring rotations, etc. As long as it pumps the dps make soloing fun and fast and not a snooze fest watching everything around me get destroyed by other players.

Elephant in the Room: +2% Healing Done is too small of a set bonus

$

If Argonians absolutely must have +Healing Done (they don't, +Restoration Staff xp is enough for flavor) then the reason ZOS felt the need to inflate their +Healing Done from the equivalent of a 2 set bonus into a 3 set bonus (technically making Argonian racials unfairly stacked) is because 2% per bonus is too small. And that doesn't apply to just Argonians, it's a global issue everywhere the 2% set bonus exists.

To be roughly equivalent to a 129 Spell Damage set bonus in realistic situations, it would need to be 3%. And that would still make it inferior because Healing Done only effects healing, while Spell Damage effects Healing and Damage.

I can maybe understand the original thought process. Healing Done effects all heals, both Stamina and Magicka, making it a hybrid stat (and hybrid stats are typically lower than focused stats). But technically, Spell and Weapon Damage are also hybrid stats, as they effect both Damage and Healing. And since there are so few Stamina Heals to use on others, there's very little room to utilize Healing Done as a hybrid stat, making it an even worse stat when at a reduced value.

This is made even more obtuse because Healing Received, which effects both your own self heals and any heals used on you, is 4% as a set bonus. That's double the 2% Healing Done set bonus. And yet, CP treats +Healing Done and +Healing Received with the same weight (1 point for each is 0.3%, scaling down).

The 2% Healing Done value seems like a decision that they made earlier in the game's development (right or wrong) and then changed on when CP was added, but never addressed elsewhere.

The fix I'm proposing is: Double the +Healing Done set bonus from 2% to 4% on all 2-4 armor piece set bonuses. Then reduce the Argonian +Healing Done racial passive from a triple set bonus to a double. This would result in an increase from +6% Healing Done, to +8% Healing Done on Argonians (which would give them the strongest heals) and a set bonus on armors that players don't actively avoid.

So I’ve decided to get into the attunable crafting stations as something to start doing in the game.

I placed the 1st set which is Julianos. So what are some opinions on the next few to get.

For example I would like to just pay for the Craft bag. I really can't justify paying $15/mo for a craft bag, don't need the other "perks". I say make it $5/mo for craft bag only!
