Are Argonians still good for mNB?

Question after racial changes. The thing is over the years He's grown some kind of emotional attachment on me, being my main magicka Nighblade, the one I generally use for general purpose, wearing HA or healing support. I don't play him much anymore because of their current state but still...

By the way, I got 4 nightblades: breton (mNB), dunmer (mNB now also sNB on demand), bosmer (sNB) and argonian (mNB) but I'm being tempted to make him an altmer :disappointed:

Would you race change it?

Giving monsters similar stats that players have (resistance, penetration, crit chance, crit damage), so debuffs on monsters and players have similar effects.
Have more monsters using non-damage abilities (dodge, heal, reflect, buff & debuff), and make monsters blocking more intelligent (Instead of them blocking for too long without any incoming damage).

So hey ZOS... let me know when you DOUBLE the item slots for notable homes to 1400. Or at least take the advice you've been given to make them 700 items INSIDE and 700 items OUTSIDE. Otherwise, I'll have to pass on it AGAIN.

Is there any mechanics in Wolfhunter and Wrathstone DLCs that prevent to do them solo? In the Dragon Bones DLC dungeons there are some limitations, as far as I recall.

Wood Elf/ Bosmer losing stealth passive, An open letter.

$

Wood Elves have always been a stealth based race and the main reason to choose these tiny characters is their innate stealth. PVE enemies in this game do not hide, so changing these characters to detect hidden enemies removes an enjoyable and realistic game mechanic and provides no benefit.

I have given feedback regarding the proposed change to this passive here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/453572/bosmer-racial-change-that-is-illogical-and-unnecessary/p1
And I have polled the forum with the conclusion that no one uses stealth detection in pve here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/458818/do-you-use-stealth-detect-in-pve/p1

Firstly, Wood Elves have always had a head-start bonus to the stealth attribute for the past 5 Elder Scrolls titles. In 3 of those titles, they had a greater bonus to sneaking than any other race. For 5 years in TESO we have used this passive to great effect in all game modes. It is a valuable passive as evidenced by: the continuation (and even improvement) of stealth for Khajiits; two zone DLCs that benefit from this passive; trial and dungeon mechanics that take advantage of being in stealth; and the number of dismayed replies on your official forums.

In the developer notes it states that “many enemies in Tamriel can’t be bothered sneaking about!” The conclusion to replace it with 3 meter stealth detection is a contradiction because if enemies can’t be bothered to stealth, then we don’t need to detect stealth enemies. There isn’t any pve content available in the game that uses stealth detection. In pvp, 3 meters is actually a negligible amount of stealth detection because of how pvp is currently played. Stealth is used from a distance in order to stack bonuses from the Bow skill line. Stealth in melee range, at the pace of the current pvp climate, requires a skill (Vampire or Nightblade) or a potion. Being able to detect within 3 meters is not enough time to even block before a blow from stealth. “Gankers” will not disappear with the removal of this Wood Elf passive, they will just switch to Khajiit for the crits.

The identity of this race, from the first game, have been stealthy archers and thieves. It needs to remain an innate ability of the smallest race in the game to hide better than the largest. Moving this out of the racial passive and into another skill line is not a solution because a large character, such as a Nord, is realistically not as sneaky as the smallest characters. This change goes against the original vision, the established precedent, in-universe realism, and the lore within the game itself. The point of choosing the smallest character model in the game is that it’s better at hiding.

Regarding your dev note, “Previously this passive was shared between Khajiit and Wood Elf, and didn’t help them feel distinct enough from each other.“ Players expect that the smallest characters are the sneakiest, and the effort to make this minor distinction is not worth the cost of removing the main appeal of choosing Wood Elf. Khajiit and Wood Elf are already distinct enough from each other, in physical design and fighting style.

Please, reconsider this change. Stealthiness is THE identifying attribute to this race. The proposed change to this passive is disruptive and counterintuitive. Wood Elf hiding ability has been an established precedent for all 5 TES games and the past 5 years in this game.

PvP in Vivec is working AWESOME: Behold the age of siege

My eyeballs hurt.
I played it until my fingers bled.
I stayed up too late and shirked my chores.
Khajiit thinks he has the carpal tunnel in his left hand, and today he may do it all again.

I set up a few oils, maybe 7. I never got around to any of the other flingy thingies in the game but I did notice that it is VERY BAD to stand in red.
So, Khajiit burned lots of nasty siege weapons to ashes and moved his position often. This one hates icky oil in his fur and rocks hitting his head!

Duh

I PvP'd at least 12 hours yesterday, here are some things I thought of while I was lying around dead

Hard points are HARD. Please be careful! Lolz.
Cold Fire siege of any type will sell well on the open market, drawing PvE types to our Dolmens!
Pugs can defend a keep against a push with just a few veterans mixed in for good measure. Play the map.
Remember Purge? Who bars that old thing anymore. I mean really, why bother? Please, don't bar Purge.

Vivec is a very hot place today.

Who are we?
We are a mature social guild, a group of people mainly with young families (NOT a requirement) who like to get on discord either in voice chat or by text that enjoy to play Elder Scrolls Online together.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for similar English speaking people to join our ranks.
It must not be too much hard work to say hello or goodbye when you or someone comes online in game.
Somebody may ask in guild chat to group up for a dungeon or something, we are looking for people who will take the time to respond, even if its a no or sorry i havent got time.
NO SKILL requirement - We are looking for players of all abilities and any level.

Where are we heading?
We just want to be able have the platform to always be able to get a group, either for Pledges (Normal/Veteran/Veteran HM), Gear Farming, World Boss Farming, Questing.
In time hopefully we will have enough people to do Normal Trials and work up to Vet level as a guild.

When are we most active?
Currently we are most active 9am - 3pm GMT Monday to Friday and 8pm - Late Monday to Friday.
This could change quickly with new members joining and will update accordingly.

Do you think you fit the bill?
If so come and have a chat with us, no pressure we dont bite but we would like to see what your about before we hand out guild invites.

Contact myself @warrilad or @quahkarl in game or on a post here and we will be in touch asap.

Thanks for reading

PC EU vet Fang Lair HM -- slow removal not working

PC EU
veteran Fang Lair HM

I have tanked vFL HM many times before the Wrathstone patch. Every time, DK wings/reflective plate removes slows in that fight (for example slows from the scarabs). I tried tanking vFL HM for the first time after Wrathstone, and DK wings do not remove slows anymore. Shuffle also does not remove slows, however shuffle did remove slows before the Wrathstone patch.

Nothing in the Wrathstone patch notes mentions making a change like this to Fang Lair, wings, shuffle, etc.

mobility is very important during vFL HM, so lack of mobility is a big issue for this fight.

PVP damage is a good change

it gives a realistic chance for everyone to kill a person in a ballgroup. ballgroups are pretty much immortal in the game (u dont even need to take care of mechanics like blocking and dodging). im not so sure if damage in bg rly increased but if so it makes it even easier for me to kill nightblades before they cloak again. im running radiant light with the reach morph and its *** easy.

also the clear increase to siege weapons is also good now people have to think how to approach before u could just dance in the oil and dont give a ***. (just increase cost of those weapons depending on the damage they do)

now mechanically skilled people will dominate more than just gear carried guys

Longstanding Issues in BGs: Are the Developers Even Listening to Us?

$
0
0
... because it really doesn't seem that way, most of the time. In case the devs are listening or are open to listening (perhaps @ZOS_GinaBruno or @ZOS_JessicaFolsom can confirm?), here's a list of some of the worst long-standing issues in BGs. I encourage anyone who's reading to add anything I may have missed.

1. Premades vs. PUGs:

This is probably the biggest issue at the moment: strong premade groups (usually optimized for as much cheese as possible) utterly destroying otherwise good PVPers who were grouped together randomly. There is an overwhelming amount of support (both in these forums, and in game) for separating the queues for premades and PUGs. I don't think I've seen a single ZOS employee even acknowledge community thoughts on this front. Separating the queues will make BGs more enjoyable for everyone (except, I guess, for those few toxic individuals who get their jollies from dominating in PVP with little to no challenge). I'm seeing increasing numbers of players simply rage-quitting when they find themselves up against the exact same overpowered premades over and over again. Heck, even I did that for the first time today (and I hate it when people rage quit), because I simply wasn't going to be ego fodder for yet another packleader WW premade. In my experience, BGs are more fun, and more balanced, when everyone is queued solo. Premades who want a challenge would be better served by being able to queue against other organized/optimized teams.

2. Lack of Player Variety:

Thanks to the MMR system and what I have to assume is a relatively smallish player pool at certain ranks, many of us end up playing the same people over and over (and over, and over...) again. I usually recognize at least half (if not more) of the names on the list when I play. I know what builds people are running before the match even starts, because I've played against them all so many times. There are certain players who are starting to feel like dungeon bosses: utterly predictable and boring. One of the reasons why I PVP is for the variety and randomness. When things are always changing, they're always interesting. When you know what your enemy is going to do before they even do it...where's the fun in that? I want to play against different people, and the only way I can do that is by rolling alts -- which is tedious. In no other PVP game do I have this problem.

3. Long Queue Times:

Also thanks to the MMR system, many of us are stuck with long wait times, particularly during prime time hours. On my main, I'm usually facing a wait of 10+ minutes per match. At certain times of the day, I get instant queues. but that's mostly because I'm being pulled in near the end of a match to replace someone who rage-quit thanks to a toxic premade. When playing on alts, the queue time is always instant or close to instant; this leads me to believe that it is NOT a player population issue, but rather an MMR issue.

4. Pet Stacking/Pet Targeting:

This is partly related to my first point, but I'm mentioning it separately because it's significant enough of an issue to warrant its own discussion. Pet stacking in BG maps, which are relatively small areas, highlights glaring issues with pet targeting in PVP environments. Premades that are built to maximize the number of pets around them essentially gain free damage mitigation against single target attacks. If the group is skilled at kiting, they can keep their pets in front of them at all times, making themselves virtually untargetable. AOEs are a potential solution, but many burst rotations in PVP rely on single target abilities. I've lost track now of the sheer number of WW direwolves or scamps who have eaten my incaps or my frags in BGs... It's frustrating trying to target players through that many pets, and it creates a chaotic, zerg-like atmosphere (especially if each team features multiple pet builds) in a small area that is supposed to be dedicated to small-scale PVP.

5. Bugs, Exploits, and Tigers, Oh My:

Players are STILL able to pick up the chaosball a fraction of a second before they die and respawn at their base holding the ball, where they are free to remain and rack up points until the end of the match (these players also don't get banned when they're reported). Players are STILL able to sit in water with the chaosball and completely protect themselves from melee attacks (also without getting banned when they're reported). People STILL get stuck in that freaking staircase (anyone who's played a lot knows exactly which staircase I'm referring to). Matches STILL fail to start, stuck in a perpetual "Waiting for Players" limbo until everyone leaves, incurring deserter penalties in the process.

TLDR: BGs were a breath of fresh air when they first came out, but several things need to change/be fixed to keep them enjoyable for everyone (not just the premades and the exploiters).

Why have you nerfed master writs?

$

Since the addition of Jewelry Crafting, Blacksmith, Woodwork and Clothier master writs have become fewer and 99% of them are only rewarding 7 vouchers. I have 2 theories:

1: you have nerfed armour/weapon master writs.
2: you have nerfed armour/weapon master writs for non-subscribers.

If it's 1, this is horribly unfair and needs to be rectified immerdiately.
If it's 2, this is disgusting behaviour, needs to be rectified immediately, and whoever made the decision needs to be utterly ashamed of their greed.

If you're going to disagree with me, please also tell me if you sub or not.
