PTS Update 22 - Feedback Thread for Necromancer

This is the official feedback thread for the Necromancer class. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • What are your favorite and least Necromancer abilities, and why?
  • Do the Necromancer’s visuals and themes feel unique compared to other classes?
  • Do the Necromancer’s abilities and playstyle feel unique compared to other classes?
  • Did you enjoy the Necromancer’s corpse generation/corpse spending gameplay?
  • Did you receive a bounty for using “Criminal Act” Necromancer abilities in towns? If so, what are your thoughts on the experience?
  • Were you aware certain Necromancer abilities were considered “Criminal Acts” prior to using these abilities in towns?
  • Does the Necromancer feel faithful to established lore and themes in The Elder Scrolls?
  • Do you plan on playing a Necromancer as your new “main” character when Update 22 goes live?
  • Do you have any other general feedback?

Removed the 200ms post global cooldown from cast time abilities.

it might be a good thing on paper but since it appears to have no effect for ppl who actually play to the elder scrolls online, because they are not playing directly, 1m close to the server and have there latency vary from their internet service provider to their computer (sometimes even the weather!); i would personnaly like all cast time ability to be overlooked once again.

if they are too bursty, reduce the cast time along with the damage.
if they provide to much benefit from the buff/debuff they apply, nerf them down (it is already done tho).
if there is any reason to change them, change it.

but please, keep the DPS safe.

it is already a burden to cast a skill because:
-it snares yourself while casting (can be annoying in both pvp and pve)
-you warn your enemies of what you are preparing (particular pvp issue)
-it can be interrupted, exposing yourself without any benefit (both in pve and pvp, moslty in pvp tho)
-if you manage to get interrupted you're also afflicted by the offbalance debuff, adding more to your desapointment of being interrupted

do not negativly impact a somehow skillfull behavior by making such risky a playstyle by making it unefficient even if completed properly.

long things short, return the dmg you nerfed because of the 200ms tweak, at least. Please. for cast time abilities.

Login bonuses should accrue even if not retrieved

I finally realized I missed several login bonuses this month (3 on one server, 1 on the other) because I didn't select them in the right window. I login daily for the riding bonuses, so I know I was checking in, but I get tired of repeated guild notices and announcements about someone completing something, so I hadn't been always catch the "collect the daily bonus" part even though I logged in more than once a day on most days.

The extra bonuses should remain until you collect them. I could live with an exception if you missed them on the last day of the month, but you should get the bonus item as long as you were in the game within the daily window.

Reflective Plate still no 4 seconds of immunity after Patch 5.0.2

Patch 5.0.2. did not bring Reflective Plate and Shuffle in line with other abilities that provide snare/immobilization immunity.

Just to remind:
Reflective Plate should have 4 seconds of snare/immobilization immunity buff just like other similar abilities. The same apply to Shuffle. Forward Momentum, Double Take, Race Against Time, all these provide 4 seconds of snare/immobilize immunity.

I thought that ZoS is presenting themselves as seekers of consistency and make abilities with similar effects to be in line with each other.
If you don't increase the duration on snare/immobilize immunity on Reflective Plate and Shuffle, we will rightfuly label you as a hypocrite.

This is the official feedback thread for Elsweyr, mainly focusing on the zone, side quests, and other types of content found in Elsweyr. If you have feedback on the main story, please see this thread, which is under NDA. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • Tutorial
    • Did you play through the new tutorial?
    • What did you think about the combat trainer segment? Was it more or less informative than previous tutorials? Is there something you wish it would have taught you that it didn't?
    • Did you find sufficient items to loot in the Catacombs section? Did you feel these were called out clearly enough in the staging and propping?
    • Did you encounter the optional lockpicking tutorial? Did you feel rewarded for completing it?
    • What did you think about the tutorial dragon encounter? How was the difficulty?
  • Side Objectives
    • Did you engage with any quests outside of the main story? If so, which ones?
    • Did you find any quests to be problematic from either a directional or difficulty standpoint?
  • World Bosses
    • Did you fight any world bosses? If so, which ones?
    • Were any of them too easy or too hard?
    • Were mechanics clearly communicated?
  • Public Dungeons
    • Did you go into any public dungeons? (Orcrest or Rimmen Necropolis)
    • Public dungeons are generally balanced for two or more players of average skill and gear. Did you feel sufficiently challenged?
  • World and Environment
    • What did you think of the Elsweyr environment?
    • Did you see any new types of Khajiit? What did you think?
    • Did you encounter any new monsters you haven't seen before? What did you think?
  • Do you have any other general feedback?

How do I buy a game through 'ZOS"

I have all those problems with playing ESO and basically can't play (of course idiot that I am, I am via Steam) ESO techs have given me a lot of tips lately but all that delete this etc firewalls, addons etc etc nothing has really helped. I want to buy the game new and start from scratch (I am a pensioner and always broke but I would eat soup for a few weeks just to get the game again, the walls are falling in on me from nothing to do (I am a grandmother). But now I read some were able to keep their chars if they buy the game for $10 from Zos and do a lot of other stuff (I copied it and will try it)
So How can I buy the game?
ESO keep telling me to log in. When I log in they do not seem to accept my password and ask me again to log in. I put my game name and ask them to send my pw. They ask my email and then don't send me an email but go back to the log in page.
I feel I am going nuts here.

DRACONIC MISFITS is the sister guild of WRATH OF THE DRAGONS

We are aming to form one or more core groups of people that can compromise on doing vet Trials, improve and have fun!.

This won't be an elitist guild with application form and crazy high DPS numbers to start doing progression runs on harder trials but we will require people to sign up and actually show up.

At them moment we are a core group of 10 people, most of them experienced in most vet trials. We are getting close to start doing Trials soon!

If you are
  1. Already bored of normal trials
  2. Already have your build complete or nearly complete
  3. Are looking for a challenge
Then you should consider joining us if you want to have fun and can compromise on raiding at least once a week

Eventhough the goal is to complete all vet Trials and their HMs we won't pressure anyone or make them do parses untill they reach 50K DPS+, having fun while growing as a group is the goal, we are not planning on having a second job in the game. The DPS requirements to start raiding with us will be a minimum of 25K DPS, more depending on the Trial, but we will grow there together hopefully :)

Us of discord will be mandatory, we will use it for sign ups, voice chat and share anything Trial related.

We strongly recommend you to join our social guild too, as you won't be alowed to look for groups for dungeons, etc... in this guild, all the activity will be strictly Trial related.

We will consider any applicants but please if you apply make sure that you meet the requirements stated above. If you are not quite there yet, join our social guild (460+ members), where we still do farming and training normal Trials every other day.

Whisper or mail me in game (@boratkan) or our Guild leader (@Gutterrat) to get an invite.

Uppercut change is a mistake

I really think this is a terrible idea for a couple reasons. First up is that I am a stam sorc main and this is going to be another indirect nerf to one of the very few playstyles stam sorc has. Stam sorc is in need of some buffs that seem to never come, especially a real damage skill. In fact we seem to get indirectly nerfed more often than not. Using uppercut in rapid succession is not possible, most of the time. Player movement cancels this ability most of the time. And since we have no class spam-able uppercut is what we have on a 2h build.

The second is pretty similar to what i just wrote. You cannot use this ability, reliably, in rapid succession like you can with something like snipe. You cannot.There is no 6% damage increase. Just a 14% damage nerf. The abilities are as different as night and day, except for the cast time. And testing in duels i got the same results as I thought i would. You cannot reliably spam it, on certain classes like stam sorc you have no reliable ability to spam with it, and a 14% damage loss is huge.

Please for once can we try to just give the ability its tiny little buff and not nerf it? Maybe throw it on the PTS with the post global removed but the damage the same? It is a mistake..

Uppercut: Reduced the damage dealt from this ability and its morphs by 14% to make up for the removal of the post global noted above. Note this will result in a 6% overall DPS increase when used in quick succession.

Post global cooldown
Removed the 200ms post global cooldown from cast time abilities. This was done to improve the feeling of using these abilities in rapid succession with other abilities, to allow for a more fluid transition, and less down time between usage. We also made some adjustments to the cast times and power levels of specific abilities, which will be called out on a per case basis in further notes.

You pretty much are required to have some form of CC to make them somewhat useful...because the change to the removal of that small snare window means by the time you land on the target they will have already moved away from that position.

Its basically the reason I didn't bother using the Dragon Knight "Pull" ...because by the time I landed at the target they had already moved away.

Thanks ZoS for gifting 3 racial change tokens after the race rebalance... that allowed us to switch our race if we were unhappy with the changes... but some people like me really like their characters, and would never change them. I used to pvp every day on my argonian, but after the nerfs that stopped, the feeling of knowing that you are playing the weakest race takes away all motivation, this is not a buff argonian thread because i know you are not going to, this is a request to let us play the race we want, and peform good in the roles we want.

Give us a cosmetic racial change token for 3k crowns, this does not affect the gameplay at all and you would please a lot of people... except those trolls at the forums yelling "wE DoNt wAnT oThEr RaCes tO hAvE oRc/AltMeR PaSsIvEs, iT WoUlD RuIn mY ImMeRsIoN" of course...

Start earning Midyear Mayhem event tickets today

All of us who despise PVP have been given this wonderful opportunity. How can we do it though? The event hasn't started yet. Well let's take a look at the PTS Patch notes:
Impresario & Event Tickets
The Outfit pages* (in bound form) and Emotes will also be available directly from the Event Merchant, for 5 tickets apiece. You can buy the Emotes regardless of your Alliance.

You can also earn 2 Event Tickets for completing any Daily Quest that focuses on Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds. This includes all Board quests, as well as Town Dailies.

To begin your journey towards easy tickets follow these steps:
  1. Log in to a character.
  2. Proceed through a quest that satisfies the above conditions.
  3. Important: Do not turn in the quest. Leave it open until the time is right.
  4. Log out.
  5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 until you run out of characters.

Now we wait for the event to start. You will have X (X = your number of characters who followed the steps) amount of days where all you have to do is visit Cyrodiil (or not if you prefer Battlegrounds), hand in the quest, and leave with 2 tickets. Everybody wins.

You might be thinking there will be nothing worth buying with tickets anyway, but if you are into outfit styles look upon this beauty:

Second Legion Outfit Styles can drop from sweepers and bosses in Imperial City
3 choices. Buy it with tickets. Try to farm Imperial City. Or hope the drop rate is high and buy it from guild stores. Play the way you want.

This is an up and coming guild thats growing very quickly, When making this guild I wanted to start a social guild where you can group up and play with people instead of always playing alone, have someone to chat with while questing, and most importantly build towards end-game status and have people that can help with your crafting, builds and know how’s!!
